exterior Hotel Lucrezia exterior Situated in the beautiful Sardinia, Italy, the Hotel Lucrezia is housed in an historical house in the heart of the village of Riola Sardo, located a few minutes away from the Sinis peninsula and 10 km/6.2 miles from Oristano.

Ideal for visiting Sardinia, this lovely hotel features several services and facilities such as a beautiful garden where you still find, between secular trees, the well, the wine cellar, the grinding wheel and the oven where the farmers used to bake bread. The oil-mill and the millstone have been restored and integrated in one of the living rooms.

The friendly staff will provide tourist information, and you can also book cooking lessons, guided boat tours in the islands, wine tasting, Italian lessons or mountain bike excursions from the convenience of the reception.

Lovely, but very expensive. A bit hard to find. Does NOT have internet for guests, although manager graciously allowed us to use his office computer. Only a pizzeria within walking distance; for dinner you must drive to another town.

The architecture of this hotel is wonderful; it seems to have been a farm once. Our room was very comfortable in terms of size and cleanness. The bed was perfect too. The bathroom was big – two people could comfortable fit into it. The shower was big as well and very modern. The hotel provided free WiFi – very nice! The breakfast was lovely. There were typical Italian sweets (also cornetti which I love :), muesli, fresh fruits, bread, marmalade, cheese, etc, ... The personnel were incredibly nice and very commited to provide good service. What was very helpful is that they provided a list of restaurants close to the hotel. We were at several of these recommendations and were very happy with them. You will need a car if you plan to go to beaches near to hotel or to a bigger city in the evening. One last comment: The one single thing that could have been better (but will not matter to most visitors): The espresso in the morning was from an automatic espresso machine. It was quite OK but for real espresso lovers this could be improved by using a manual machine, which are known to brew better espresso. We fully recommend this hotel!

A lovely hotel. Very laid back and relaxed atmosphere. The staff are so friendly and helpful and really went out of their way to help us explore the local area.

Excellent location for visiting Sardinia. Although there is no restaurant, they provided me with a platter of chesses and meats, since it was late. Very willing to please staff.

How to reach Hotel Lucrezia

By car
From Oristano: take the SP56 road, drive through Donigala Fenughedu, proceed for 200 metres/218 yards and then turn right onto Via Oristano, turn left onto the SS292 road. Exit Donigala Fenughedu, continue on the SS292 road, pass through Nurachi and after 9 km/5.5 miles enter the city of Riola Sardo. Proceed on the SS292 road, turn right, then left onto Via Regina Elena street and right again in Via Carlo Alberto street, then proceed to Via Roma street, where the hotel is located.
