Windsor Martinique Hotel - Rio de Janeiro

Overall the hotel is very good. It's close to the beach and they provide beach towels and umbrellas which is great since you have to pay for an umbrella at the beach. The staff is also extremely helpful. The rooms are very nice but the two negatives are noise and size. We could hear the showers in other rooms and our room was very small so once you put a couple of suitcases in there, it was almost impossible to move around. I would however, stay here again.

Very good room- maid work.I forgot valuables in the safety box and the staff made great effort to catch the plane before I left Rio.Everything was returned,and the honesty and service impressed me.

Loved the location of the hotel, nice area of Copacabana. Close to the beach, restaurants and all amenities. Loved taking the public bus to the various attractions like Corcovado mountain (where Christ the Redeemer statue is) and Sugarloaf Mountain. The front desk of the hotel are extremely helpful and knowledgable in tourist info. The rest of the staff speak little English but try to help with whatever you need. Parking at the hotel is charged. Overall, a good experience at the Hotel Windsor Martinique.

Very nice hotel , well located half block from Copacabana . Good breakfast . Nice Italian resturant across the street Careful with security in the street , not terrible , just watch out Would repeat this hotel

Very friendly staff, rooms clean, Internet working without problems. Location good all in all a nice Hotel for the price.

Great value and location. Great breakfast. Allowing late check out for half a night charge kind of lame, but positive experience.

As mentioned in other reviews of this hotel, the rooms are rather small. Another glitch was that internet service did not work with the cable the reception supplied, the wall socket was a bit wobbly. But we were not too bothered about it, in fact absence of internet was almost welcome for the spirit of vacation. In all other respects this is a very nice hotel, especially at the price we got through Venere. The breakfast is extremely nice, service is courteous, many important things are included in the price (safe box and, well, internet) location is very nice with shops and restaurants everywhere around. We also stayed in Luxor Continental Hotel in Leme but we liked Martinique much more. Will definitely stay in this hotel again.

Very good modestly priced hotel - best value for your money. One block away from Copacabana beach. Seems to be secured and well kept.

Rio was very tired and jaded. Very overpriced compared to say Argentina and not very good value for money.

Sure it's not 5* but it's good value for money in a good location. Hotel was clean and staff were helpful. Would return.

we really liked Hotel Windsor Martinique. For service and staff this is one of the nicest places we have stayed. There are no sea side views, but then you do not need to pay for the view! We found the hotel quite expensive, but then Rio is expensive anyway. NB taxes are not included in the price (this is in the venere small print, but I didn´t read it). This is an extra 10 - 15% when you go to pay. Overall, Hotel Windsor Martinique is lovely, and a safe choice.

Hotel is in an excellent location. The staff are a credit, extremely helpful and polite with good english. The room was small but we expected that and was close to the lift so we got some extra noise during the night with party goers returning to the hotel, but otherwise, a lovely experience.

Excellent small hotel. Very happy with the hotel. Beware though, if you have a discount with Venere don't expect the hotel to give you the discount. That was my only problem.

I was offered a 5% discount as I used a voucher with venere. However when I got to the hotel, and showed them my email, they claimed they had never heard of the discount, despite me having it printed on an email from venere. So either Venere or the Hotel were wasting my time. The hotel itself was fine.
