The Rio Othon Palace was once a luxurious hotel in days gone by, but now is overly rated for a five star and provides shoddy service for the money paid. It should be rated a lower four star if one is really generous or else upper 3***. TV is crap- no satellite, No news papers to the rooms, gym is extra costs, no Wi-FI through the building,Internet symbolic - very slow accesible through few terminals in the lobby after buying access time at recption, the quality of the 3 suco(juices - the same day in and day out - pineapple, orange and watermelon) at breakfast is suspect of massively diluted, electric plugs in the rooms lose and disappearing in the old woodwork,dispite being a couple in a bedroom- bathroom supplies provided are for a single person, old analogue safe at R$5- per day - really?

Gym/Spa was not included on price, as reservation had indicated. Hotel staff belatedly acquiesced to cover my expenses on the gym/spa. Room was on 28th floor with an oustanding view. Top 4 floor had just been remodeled. They look very nice, and clean. Public restroom in hotel are not set for use by people with disabilities. Hotel is very safe, with attentive staff.

METHODS OF PAYMENT
Venere.com does not debit your credit card for your reservations. You will be asked to insert your credit card details which will be sent to the property only as a guarantee of the reservation. The bill will then have to be settled directly at the hotel. Check-out: it is necessary to leave the rooms not later than noon.
