With 2000m2 of property in the heart of Santa Teresa,
we are ready to share Brazil's creative possibilities with
visitors from around the world.

Our inviting new boutique hotel, Relais Solar, is a novel
concept in hospitality services where guests can relax,
savour, experiment, create and discover all that is
authentically Brazilian. We also offer assistance in
sharing inspired local tips or organizing creative tours
and visits throughout Brazil's communities and ateliers.

In addition to renting on a per room basis, we also offer the unique possibility of booking the entire house as a private colonial villa to sleep up to 13 people. It's perfect for families
or small groups of friends or work colleagues looking for a private, tranquil retreat, with hotel services personalized to suit your specific needs.

The house boasts a natural elegance, an organic blend of rustic colonial and contemporary inspiration. Decorated only with handmade furniture and objects, refined examples of Brazil's rich heritage, Relais Solar serves as a lively showroom for our national artists and
artisans. It provides an ideal opportunity for foreign guests to mingle with local cariocas who share similar interests, with our multilingual staff ready to bridge the language gap when needed.

How to reach Hotel Relais Solar

By car
The best way is to come through Gloria. Enter Cândido Mendes Street till you get to the tram path, at Largo dos Guimarães, in front of Bar do Arnaldo and then take the left. At the bus/tram stop and Cine Santa, where the path splits in two, keep the left and go on for another 500m. Then make an U-turn to the left, going out of the tram path where you'll see the Police Station, Comlurb and the ‘tram’ from the artist Getúlio, going down through Aqueduto Street. After 200m take the 2nd street to the right, that is the street of Solar de Santa, Ladeira dos Meireles.
We advise you to park at Aqueduto Street.


By airplane

By public transportation
With the buses from the lines 206 or 214, integration bus from the Carioca subway station or with the tram, get off at Largo do Guimarães, walk 50m up and take the first street left, Ladeira do Meireles, where you'll find us at the number 32.
