River is a very charming little hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are small, but so comfortable, clean, well equipped, and air conditioned. Do not miss the amazing 3 course evening menu, and the breakfast! To get to city center use busses that stops only 1 step from the hotel! Hotel River is a very good chioce, absolutely recommended!

A charming family run hotel run with graet sea views. The breakfasts were unrushed and terrific, fresh cakes and homemade jams. The breakfast room is delightful looking out as it does over the front of the hotel towards the sea. Evening meals, 3 course with anti-pata buffet, were delicious home fare and incredible value We will definatley be returning

Friendly hotel. Basic room - rather outdated and cramped. Plenty of breakfast in a typical italian style. Outdoor furniture provided but very tatty. A comfortable hotel for a short stay however.

Hotel River was a great little hotel, clean and nice but lacked air conditioning. The staff was great and only 10 steps to a nice little beach and not so far to walk to the main beaches and the center! Great breakfast and not at all expensive!! Recommend it to anybody!! Olla, Reykjavík, Iceland.
