Hotel Plaza - Rivazzurra, Rimini

Rimmini beautiful, plaza hotel excellent value all round, staff and hotels owners very nice and helpful.

We stayed the day before this hotel closed for the winter, however both the accomodation and breakfast were first class, and the receptionist was most helpful in pointing out nearby restaurants where we enjoyed a very good dinner. Our room was bright and clean, with a balcony which we had not booked, but was very welcome.

WE STAYED FOR A WEEK AT THE BEGINNING OF OCTOBER. THE HOTEL OWNERS AND STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY. THE ROOM WAS NICE, I HAD EMAILED AHEAD AND ASKED FOR A SEA VIEW WHICH WE GOT. THE OWNER EVEN GAVE US AND ANOTHER COUPLE A LIFT TO THE AIRPORT FOR OUR RETURN FLIGHT. CAN'T FAULT THE HOTEL IN ANY WAY. ROOMS CLEANED DAILY. BREAKFAST WAS NICE AND HAD ENOUGH CHOICE. THE TOWN OF RIMINI AND SAN MARINO WERE GOOD BUT THE LOCATION WE WERE IN WAS THE SAME FOR MILES. A MAIN ROAD WITH ROWS OF SMALL ROADS LEADING OFF IT. WE DIDN'T FEEL THAT PART OF THE COAST HAD ANYTHING SPECIAL OR STUNNING ABOUT IT. IT WAS MOSTLY SHUT DOWN BUT HAD IT BEEN HIGH SEASON IT WAS NOTHING SPECIAL. OK IF YOU JUST WANT A BREAK REALLY. WE WOULDN'T GO BACK. RECOMMEND THE HOTEL BUT NOT THAT PART OF ITALY.

Coffee durind the breakfast was not good

The owners were super friendly and spent a substantial amount of time playing with our children and talking with us. We would gladly recommend the hotel to others.

Hotel Plaza, Rimini, well what can I say, we have just returned from one of the best weeks we have spent in Italy and we chose Hotel Plaza from it's reviews, we were not disappointed. We had a great time, the Hotel was clean, tidy and the owners and staff were everything that you could wish for, polite, helpful and very lovely, nothing was to much trouble, always available for advise. The room was smallish but had a large balcony with a sea view and en-suite, and was kept clean and tidy, every thing you need really. Breakfast was very good with a variety of rolls, hams, cheese and cakes to choose from, tea, coffee and juice always available and never in short supply. The location was great with a very short walk to the beach and great swimming in the Adriatic (the Hotel has it's own beach towels for guests to use). It's close to the bus service (bus stop 28 or 29 at the top of the road) which if you have been to Rimini before you will know is very good but can get crowded especially when the local school/collage kick out about 12:15 and its about a 20 min ride into Rimini town. There are plenty of good Restaurants/Bars nearby or you may choose to eat in Hotel Plaza which has a different menu each day for Lunch and Dinner and you can choose on the day if you want to eat there, we did and the food was great. The best thing about Hotel Plaza is the relaxed atmosphere its as if you were part of a big happy family on holiday together. The worst thing, having to come home on Saturday!!

A family owned hotel,well run, excellent value for money.We received a very personal service with all members of the family helpful.

I was there in the end of September when the whole town had pretty much shut down for the season. The hotel is about 6km out from the main town. The rooms are clean but feel like they are out of a 80's. Breakfast was a bit lacking and wasn't avaliable until after 7am. There was very little parking at the hotel but plenty on surrounding streets. The Staff were all excellent and really helpful with info about the area.

The hospitality of the owners brings this hotel from a 3 star to a 4 star. They were extremely helpful with directions and local knowledge of places to see and things to do. They recommended a local favorite RISTORANTE LO ZODIA. The price and food were very good.

For the price the best hotel we ever stayed in. Gianni and Rita are very helpful, with good English and know everything about Rimini and the surrounding area.

Room was very small but clean & very noisy due to surroundings.Close to beach area and most other things.They could not find my reservation at first.But it does have a lift for those with heavy suitcases.

I cannot speak highly enough of Hotel Plaza.In a resort that has many hotes that appear to be similar from the outside this one stood out for many reasons.Excellent location,cleanliness but first and foremost the gracious and charming owners.Nothing was a trouble and as their english was amazing they could advise on travel,excursions etc.As a mature we have travelled extensively around the world,experiencing lovely destinations and accommodation but this is the first time I have felt tempted to share my views.Small hotels are more personal and may the Hotel Plaza prosper for many years to come.Don,t take my word for it go and meet the delightful owners for yourself and make your own mind up.I am sure you will be in agreement Happy Hols susan l

Nicest people you could ever wish to meet. We were even taken to the airport by the owner at no cost. I cannot express how helpful and keen that we would enjoy our stay everyone was. We are going back.

Very pleasant experience to visit Rimini and stay in hotel Plaza. Good price, location and breakfast. Jyrki

Giovanni and Rita were extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was good, by italian standards, with a selection of cold meats, croissants, cereals etc. The room was certainly adequate for the time we spent in it, with a reasonable size balcony. The only minor ceiticism I would make is the shortage of drawer space. Cleanliness was excellent with bed linen and towels changed regularly. Drinks in the bar were cheaper than outside, and the service was generally excellent. The few staff on duty were always cheerful and helpful. The Rimini area has not changed a great deal since our last visit (1989), but a number of new family attractions seem to have been introduced. Our visit was just outside the main season, so a number of bars and restaurants were not yet open, but there was still a good variety. The beach has to be one of the best and cleanest in Europe, but is a little spoiled by the number of dodgy traders who are forever wandering around, something the authorities warn you about but seem powerless to stop. Not the cheapest part of Europe, but excellent for families or couples, and not a "lager lout" in sight!

THE HOTEL WAS WELL SITUATED.the breakfast was excellent.It seemed that this hotel had recently been refurbished as doors tiling etc looked brand new.The staff were very helpful and spoke excellent english.

Very nice small place to stay for some days, or a week. Breakfast very good for that category. Short distance to airport (20min walk), next bus, or to the sea. Airport is not disturbing! Owners family very friendly, speaking good english and german. Now they will do renovation of rooms! We will come back! Thanx!!

Il bagno non fornito di box doccia separato è molto scomodo

We are a family of 6 we booked 2 rooms, on arrival the hoteliers said they would change the rooms as required, no need they were good. We were only there for a couple of days, but we all had a great time. The hotel was excellent and we will go back anytime. The area is good with free access to the beach with warm waters. The food is incredible with the exception of a english management cafe (blue anchor). The food in this place was the most expensive and diabolicle food ive ever purchased, and to top it off they got our order wrong! there are much much better places to eat especially the place with the marble steps the food and service was the best. None of us can speak italian but we had no problems at all, oh and the ice cream is to die for!!

Nuestra estancia en el Hotel Plaza ha sido muy agradable por varias razones: es un hotel limpio, sin ser ostentoso es acogedor, habitación en recepción habilitada como ludoteca para los niños, pero especialmente por el trato cordial y afectuoso de la dirección, siempre atentos y dispuestos a ayudar en lo que les pidas. Muchas Gracias por hacernos sentir como en casa.

It was a lovely hotel, near sea. And very kindly people

The hotel was very close to the principal street which separates the urban area from the beach, and that connects with the rest of the areas of Rimini and Riccione. It is ran by a middle-aged family, most of the interaction was made with the husband, which was a typical Italian gentleman (we were two girl-friends). The meals aren't good at all, considering we're in Italy! But, overall, it was a nice stay.
