Riverside Hotel - Riga

This hotel has no elevator and 4 floors, so if carrying heavy suitcases up steep, winding staircases isn't for you, neither is the Riverside. It is about 3 blocks from the river, so don't think you're going to enjoy lovely views, either. It is located about a kilometer from the old town in the former Jewish ghetto, which is now a rather rundown Soviet-inspired neighborhood and not really close to public transportation. That being said, the hotel itself and the rooms are fine, the parking is free, and it is good value for money.

The Hotel was really nice. But the location was not good. To reach the center of Riga took about 15 minutes by walk… but in I feel unsafe especially in the evening because it seems as dangerous district of Riga: market, railway station, sufficient dark in the street. So I suggest go to hotel from Riga center with taxi or take a bus/tram.

I was in Riga for a weekend vacation and Riverside Hotel turned out to be an excellent option. 15 minutes walking distance from city center has very competitive prices and staff is kind and competent. Rooms are clean and quiet. Though it is not in the heart of town, the surroundings, even at night, never gave me the impression of being dangerous. I would definetely suggest the hotel for a budget vacation in town.

A real bargain great place to stay

the only probleme is to locate it because the street is not very well indicate there and the panel of this small street is out. Anyway with the help of the receptionist we arrive without pb.

A very good hotel, though immediate surroundings are not very pleasant, and you could be placed in a room on the ground floor with a view. Rooms are very nice, everything new, good washroom facilities (all new and good brand), good breakfast, and helpful staff. About 2 km from the historic center of Riga

Very nice Hotel and excellent price & quality of the rooms. The Hotel suurroudings are a bit confuse to strangers, and at the streets the hotel indications aren't explicits.

Basic, but good hotel in Riga. A bit outside of the maisn touristic areas in old town though. Very good rates!

This is a good value stay for 35 Euro.

Werry nice and clean rooms. Doesnt cost much (cheaper than expected!), 10 min by foot from the old town part.
