Hotel Riga - Riga

Positive was clean, big rooms. Less positive was the staff need more training in customer service, smile more! also more training in what to do, where to eat etc.

The hotell is ok. A bit worn down. Hard to use the mirror in the bathroom as the lightbulbs there were too weak. This was a general impression of the hotell: too dark inside, in corridors and room. Staff: frienly and service-minded.

Excellent hotel for a short vacation. Perfect downtown location.

Good location. Lovely breakfast, although restaurant not open in the evenings. Good value for money.

At check-in they tried to charge us for a higher price, luckily I had a copy of the email with price confirmation. At the end they charged us for a higher rate anycase. Breakfast very poor. Good marks instead to rooms, public areas and location.

This is the former Intourist hotel located in the heart of the city, the KGB monitoring equipment from the hotel is now in the nearby museumn. The rooms are large (ours had 3 beds)as are the corridors. The breakfast is good with a wide range of food (hot and cold) although sometimes replacing food was slow. Unfortunately the shower never got above tepid but otherwise the hotel was good for the price. The location means that you are right out in the centre but we never heard any noise at night (or was that the drink?).
