Hotel Centra - Riga

I travelled with a friend and our twin room was huge! Everything is within walking distance, the staff was friendly and breakfast good. The noise from the nearby bars means you can't keep the window open at night, but just turn on the (remote controlled!) air condition and you'll be fine :)

Centrally located hotel, very close to all attractions and bus station if travelling in region. Art noveau district is easy walking distance. Good value for money. Had room on 6th floor looking out to the river - it was spacious, clean and unfussy in its decor but probably a bit noisy because of trains if you're a light sleeper. I'm not so it didn't bother me. Staff were polite and efficient. Overall a good base for a city break in Riga.

I thought that this hotel was great. Everything was as the website had shown. I would definitely recommend it. The only down side was that the staff was not overly helpful.

It was quite unfortunate that the person at the reception gae us the wrong information about parking in the area and we ended up getting a fine. Furthermore, he sent us to a parking that he might have had some links with since the price we later found out was twice as much as any other parking in the area. So be careful of any parking advice and rather do some research on your own. Apart from that the hotel and stay was excellent.

Great hotel, very spacious room (junior suite), very nice staff. Only negative is noise well in to the night from nearby bars and rowdy drunks.

Very central and the room hada nice view to the St Peter's Church and the Old Town

Great hotel, good value, we had a junior suite and there was lots of space. Decor is a bit 70s retro but the size of the room and its location is great. Disappointed that for a 4 start hotel there was no bar, although it looked like thye were in the process of redecorating one. Breakfasts were great. Location in the old town was great, next to lots of bars, restaurants, there was some noise from people leaving the bars late at night but it didnt bother me, its a city afterall and to expect no noise would be unrealistic. We got a bus from the airport which was inexpensive and its only 5 minutes walk from the stop (next to Stockman's Department Store) the hotel arranged for a taxi back for us, as it was snowing a blizzard. It was only about 13 euros and great value as he got us there in time, even through the snow storm

Hotel Centra was perfect for what I was looking for. Located outside of the heavy touristy area, but still in the middle of the action. The hotel breakfast was excellent, friendly staff and overall a pleasant experience. Rooms are a little small, but how often are you in your room? I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Had a wonderfully spacious high ceilinged 3 room suite with 2 leather couches for price of a room. Private rooms have slightly decadent, dated decor in contrast with Scandinavian style public rooms but both are fine. Unobtrusive but very efficient management. Superb breakfasts including local and international dishes. Excellently sited in old town.

This is a very special property in the heart of Old Town Riga. Everything was perfect, the modern hotel with wonderful artwork and flat screen tv, a charming breakfast room with an incredible selection of foods, and a non-smoking hotel but the employees are truly a step above. I had an unfortunate situation where my wallet was stolen. The employees assisted me in contacting my credit card company and arranging for a new card to be sent to my next hotel in Moscow and even faxed the hotel a letter verifiying everything. I recommend this hotel without hesitation.

The curtains were very thin, as a result I woke up at dawn each morning, definitely a problem for a summer visit. That was the only down-side, the rooms were lovely and the breakfast very good.

Ottima sistemazione, proprio in centro a Riga. Avevamo prenotato una camera normale, ma ci hanno sistemato in una suite, e per lo stesso prezzo. Eccellente anche la colazione. Altamente raccomandato, anche per il rapporto qualità-prezzo.

Beautiful topfloor room with a nice view over the city.

If you are planning a trip to Riga I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. The location is excellent, the staff at reception are very friendly and very helpful, and the rooms are spotless and spacious. The hotel is in the centre of town so I suggest you bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. We ate in the steak house directly across from the hotel and had a great meal, and also had a wonder meal in the Black Monks restaurant, which is just a 5 minute walk away. I stayed here with friends for New Years and loved it.

The suite of rooms was marvellous for the price and the breakfast was really good, The location was excellent for a tourist wishing to look around the old town. We were ten minutes walking from the market, which was the largest one I have ever seen. The hotel was also near the bus station, and as we were travelling by bus, the location of the it was perfect.Overall, I would recommend this hotel as being perfect for a stay in Riga. I forgot to mention the view of the roof tops from our suite, I took several pictures of them, I hope they turn out O.K., they were spectacular.
