The Avalon Hotel is on the edge of the Old City, and so everything is within easy walking distance. It is well located near the railway station, but despite being on a busy road, was quiet inside. We liked the style coupled with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, who all spoke very good english.

Summer roof terrace open from May till September. Great place to relax with cup of coffee, cold beer or house wine, fresh salads, desserts or main dishes from seasonal and local Latvian products.
