Hotel Damanse - Capo Vaticano, Ricadi

Wir sind mit dem Flugzeug nach Kalabrien gereist. Der Transfer Flughafen - Hotel - Flughafen hat bestens geklappt. Das Meer ist in ca. 10 min. zu Fuss erreichbar. Es empfiehlt sich ein Scooter oder Auto zu mieten um die verschiedenen Buchten und Strände zu besuchen. Das Hotel organisiert gerne ein Fahrzeug. Das Essen in der Umgebung ist sehr gut und preiswert. Die Strände und das Wasser sind sehr schön. Wir waren das erste Mal schnorcheln und hat viel Spass gemacht.

Consiglio vivamente di optare per l'Hotel "Damanse", dove la pulizia delle camere e degli ambienti è eccellente, la struttura è moderna ed accogliente sia all'interno che all'esterno dove spicca una fantastica piscina pulita, cibo ottimo e abbondante (fantastiche colazioni) ma ci ha favorevolmente colpito l'estrema gentilezza e disponibilità dello staff dirigente nonché di tutti i collaboratori.Il tutto in un atmosfera di amicizia e serenità.Andateci non ve ne pentirete.

Ein schönes, ziemlich neues Hotel an der Straße zum Capo Vaticano. Zumindest das Nebenhaus ist leider sehr hellhörig. Das Personal war auch in der Nachsaison noch sehr freundlich. Ein fahrbarer Untersatz ist sehr empfehlenswert, da es sonst sehr schwierig ist, nach Tropea oder ans Capo Vaticano zu kommen.

Wir sind zufrieden mit unserem Urlaub im Hotel Damanse. Mitarbeiter waren nett und freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war sauber und modern. Der Strand is zu Fuss erreichbar aber nicht für die Familie mit kleinen Kindern oder für die älteren Leute. Es muss in der Webseite erwähnt werden. In den Hotelleistungen wurde ein Privatstrand eingetragen. Das stimmt nicht überein.

More a place for families with children than to travellers seeking for impressions and romance. Generally, the place was nice and clean, but somehow lacked of atmosphere and privacy. You could hear your neighbour flushing a toilet, play with cell-phone, etc. The food in the restaurant was normal, but nothing more. The waiters seemed tired of hard work, not very attentive.

The rooms we had were lovely, minimalist but well designed except we were on the top floor and had no balcony. the staff at the hotel spoke very little english and the food was mediocre. we had booked half board and had to decide in the morning what we would eat in the evening which we didn't like much. the other issue was the impression that the beach was 500 metres from the hotel. the distance is probably accurate but there is no easy route to the beach, it is totally unsuitable for anyone with small children or anyone less than at the peak of fitness. i would say a car is essential for this holiday.

Not made clear on website that this is a young family oriented hotel that is also a fair way from the main town. Without your own transport, you're stuffed since hotel is located in countryside. No a/c in room we had and quite unbearable. Also noisy at night, crying children, traffic from main road. On plus side, owner very helpful (almost apologetic) and food very good and cheap. Nice outside pool. Not good though for those who seek peace and quiet! Tropea is a 'gem'and the surrounding bays also pretty.

A really great hotel, I would go there again if I was possible. The staff was very friendly, spoke English and they helped with all the things we asked. For example we could use the shower even when we were checked out and things like that!

We arrived bevore the season started so the pool wasnt filled and everything very quiet (we where the only guests). All together the rooms where tidy the facility seems to be new and the capucino in the morning was excelent. Worth the price.

This is a great place if you enjoy a stay in a hospital room, cleam but without warmth or charector. Decour was nonexistent. The service was the same, functional but certainly not a hospitable place. Go if you love package tour hotels on a small scale.

A very pleasant stay of two nights at the begining of April 2006. We had a bit of a problem finding the hotel as we did not realize it was outside of the town of Tropea on the road to Capo Vaticano. We actually passed it by, returning when we managed to find someone to ask its wherabouts. It actually is very visible on the left of the road when one is travelling towards Capo Vaticano.

Pleasant staff & good hotel. Close to the Beach We would go again

This hotel has new or refurnished rooms and the bedroom, bed, and bath are excellent. You need to be good at Italian, however, because the woman who met us could not understand English. They have a restorante, but do not serve any dinner when we were there. We asked when dinner would be ready and she said 7-8. She thought we meant breakfast so when we went down to dinner, the place was dark. We had no help in finding a place to eat dinner.

Very nice place to stay just a short car trip from Tropea. Felt more like a resort than a hotel. Staff were exremeley friendly & helpful. Has plenty of parking, a pool, 2 cute dogs & a noisy but entertaining parrot. Very close to magnificent beaches. Their own resteraunt was great, real home style Italian cooking. Will definatley like to go back to Damanse.

Our Stay at Hotel Damanse was great! The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Just 10 minutes the stores, restaurants, and sites of Tropea; a nice peaceful location, while being close to everything. The room was spacious, clean and well equipped. The best part of our stay was from the family and staff members; they were warm, friendly, and always looking for ways to make our stay in the area enjoyable. We will definitely stay with them again.

There was no indication on this website that there was a tariff for a single person in a double room. Because the website indicated no availability of single rooms I had to book a double and was charged for 2 people, whereas the hotel manager told me that he did have a rate for single persons, but at that point could not give me a reduction because the booking through venere was for 2 people.On this holiday I stayed in 3 hotels booked through Venere and this was the only one where I could not have a single person rate.

Hotel Damanse was a very good hotel located in a very beautiful area. Our particular needs were well met by this hotel. Our room was on the second floor and there was no lift, only stairs so heavy luggage was a bit of a strain for just one night but that was a small inconvenience for such a lovely stay.

An excellent hotel with friendly and competent staff. I would warmly recommend it.

This was a surprise - lovely little hotel with big rooms. It was next to a restaurant - nice breakfast next morning. Excellent value for money. In the evening, we had the most marvellous views of the setting sun over Stromboli. It was a wonderful one-night stop over for us.

Nice room with ocean view in distance, restaurant on premises but not open in winter, town is several kilometers away, free parking

Bad idea without a car...

During the summer of 2004, I made six reservations in Italy, using VENERE. Damanse was by far the best in all catagories.

We only stayed for one night but would highly recommend it to anyone seeking good value for money accommodation in the Tropea area
