Hotel Rodos Park - Rhodes

On our recent stay on Rhodes, we stayed at the Rodos Park Hotel. The location is excellent - right down the street from Old Town - five minutes walking distance. The staff was excellent - Lisa was very helpful at the front desk - Nikos was always friendly and welcoming as a porter - Feri was very willing to assist us in making sight-seeing reservations and even called for gyro "carry away" so we could eat in one night. Breakfast had a wonderful selection. Would totally recommend this facility.

The only good thing about the hotel, what really stands up, is the Reservation Manager, Mr. Popi Nikitara. When you check-out but left the luggage, they keep it in a little room without a lock. There was nobody to help me with the luggage at the time of leaving. And in this place something happened that should never happen in a reputable institution. One shirt that I left in the closet was gone at te moment I returned and the response and attitude of the lady at the front desk was not only uncooperative but frankly inadeccuate suggesting that I must be sure of what I have in my luggage. There was nobody rom the management to help me and I had to leave for Athens without even a hope of a solution. When I contacted Mr. Nikitara next morning he was absolutely cooperative, got into the problem, found the "walking" shirt and sent it to me. The only employee really customer-oriented was, again, Mr. Nikitara, who should be the hotel general manager. The breakfast was good and the service at that occasion was also good. In my opinion, the hotel doesn't deserve to be included as part of the SLH especially compared to other members of the family we stayed on during the same trip (Ostraco Suites in Mykonos and Cosmopolitan Suites in Santorini, which were just perfect).
