Was concerned when reserved this room because only had a choice of single or double room, no "view" choices (sea, garden, etc). When we arrived, we were given a small room in the rear of the property with a balcony that was the first level roof. The housekeeper never shut or locked the balcony door, so anyone could have walked in while we were away during the day. The room was very close to the housekeeping supply room, near the elevator, and one floor directly above the reception area- the noise was unbearable all day and half the night. When we checked in and discovered the room we were given, we asked to be moved to a seaview room (regardless of the additional cost) or any other less noisy room and the reception desk very rudely advised us there were no other rooms. We asked to advise us if any came available and they (again rudely) replied that none would. It seemed they wanted to make certain we did not enjoy our stay. Last year we stayed at this property and (for a grand price) received a quality quiet seaview room, but still received what can only be described as something between indifferent and rude service. Both on our previous stay and this stay we felt (via quips and overtones) as though we were being "penalized" for being American. We dislike Bush as much as most Greeks do, but it seemed as though the hotel staff was not able to distinguish between us and our government. We will not stay at this hotel again.

nice hotel, only complaint would be that it was a "free for all" at breakfast time. would have been so much better if a table was allocated as is normally the case at meal times

The Mediterranean Café is open all day and serves soft drinks, coffee and a range of light meals inside and on its terrace. Thanks to the background music in the evenings, it is ideal place for a pre-dinner drink with friends.
