Hotel Poseidon - Rethymno

The hotel was excellent value for money, easy to access and the staff were friendly and very helpful. I would have no hestitation in recommending it to anyone wanting reasonably priced accommodation in Rethymnon.

This is a a small family-owned hotel right on the beach, very close to the old town and surrounded by restaurants and shops. The owner is very welcoming and attentive. We were happy with the room, it was what we have expected for the price. The location was just perfect.

The hotel is nicely located by the beach with a view over the sea. Unfortunately there is a rather trafficated street in between. We stayed for two weeks during the quiet season (beginning of March) and were very satisfied with the hotel which is near the center, near the beach and offers highly competitive prices. The only real problem we had was the noise from the heater (air conditioner) in the room beside ours. It made an insufferable noise any time it was on and made it impossible to sleep at night. The problem was solved (for us)the last night after two nights without much sleep. The owner and most of the staff very friendly.

Great Hotel in a good location. It's a little out of the centre but that means it's quiet at night. The owners were great, very friendly and the food and drinks were good. We had breakfast included but also chose to have lunch there. It was good to have a fridge in the room. Could not find any fault and for the price it was excellent value. Would stay there again.

Nice budget hotel on qood beach. 15 mim walk from old port. Big room & AC. Not cheap but fair value.

It was the best hotel for that price in Rethymno, the peoples were very kind. I had a short holiday 3 days, but everything was very nice in there.

Either passing from Rethymnon on a trip to other beauties of Crete or staying there to enjoy the lot the city has to offer, Poseidon would be an excellent choice if one cares to have cheap accommodation and high standards of service, in a clean environment with fine decoration, most friendly staff and excellent breakfast - all overlooking the Aegean!
