The two rooms we were given in the three nights we spent at this hotel were very small and it was difficult for all of us three to move around, plus the luggage. There were very obvious stains all over the carpets and some of the bed covers had what looked like cigarette burns. The windows either didn’t shut properly or were broken (in room 02 the glass pane was actually detached from the frame), which meant that even when closed we could still hear the ambient noise and traffic from outside (we were on the ground floor, facing the parking area). The bathrooms were tiny and in particular in room 08 the shower screen was perilously hanging loose. In room 02 there were cracks in the bathroom walls and the toilet was leaking so the floor was permanently wet. An added problem in room 02. I was waken up at 5am by a series of clanking noises coming from behind the wall, then I realised they were coming the kitchen, which is next door, where the hotel staff were preparing all the things for the breakfast. The breakfast buffet is served in the lobby/reception area, but at least it was clean and tidy and we always managed to find a table. The buffet was nice though, continental breakfast but a good choice. We were aware this was a budget hotel, so we didn’t have high expectations, but some of the faults we found felt inappropriate even for a hotel of that category.

The hotel was too far from the center of the city, for people that are visiting by train the access is too difficult and inconvenient. You need a car. The reception closes from 12pm to 5pm and it is crazy that they do that, they dont even leave you instructions to get inside your room or anything. It was the worse choice we could've made by booking there. Better stay away from this place and stay in the middle of towb by the train station.

This hotel is OK as a cheap stopover where the only objective is to get a night's sleep and a shower before moving on. Seems popular with artisans and junior execs who get up around 5 am, so light sleepers should take earplugs. The room (with ensuite shower/ toilet) was clean, with enough hanging and storage space. Plenty big enough for single occupancy but could have been cramped as a double. The only in-house dining available is a simple buffet breakfast, optional at around €5. Absolutely no frills with this hotel - not even a lift - but what is provided is of an acceptable standard. If you're just passing through and on a tight budget, good value.

We stayed at the Tinqueux Reims hotel on our way to and from Italy for one night each way. It was about half the price of the alternatives and the only one of two in the area that accommodated 2 adults and 2 children in one room. The first night in mid-June was very noisy (ground floor) and the room very small; although it was just an overnight stop it was so noisy from outside, adjacent rooms and from the corridor that I got hardly any sleep. We didn't stay for breakfast although it did look quite nice. On the return journey stay we had a 2nd floor room which was much quieter but smelled awful (noticeable in the landings too), one of the bedside lamps was broken and had an exposed bulb, the window surround was filthy and needed painted (the hotel was supposedly refurbished in 2008) and only two tiny towels were provided in the shower room and it was twin beds rather than the double we'd asked for. This was after the first room we were given having unmade beds (we changed). The receptionist had poor English (not a criticism). It is very handy for the motorway however; we'd stayed at Novotel the year before but the price of that had gone up to over 110 euros, double this one; however the experience would make us think again about the saving. I had virtually no sleep the first night, after having driven all the way from Glasgow and with another 700 mile journey to Venice still to go I really needed a good nights sleep which I didn't get.

Eyob, Hellen & Fabienne(10j)

A perfect stopover hotel (functional, no glamour) when driving south. Near motorway, easy to find, the room was bigger and more substantial than I expected, having previously stayed in formule 1s. We had a double bed and set of bunk beds plus a bathroom. No cigarette smell which i have often experienced in such places. Really great staff, breakfast in am looked plentiful and good though we didn't try it.

Hotel was not well signposted, and didn't have its name up yet. Map and directions pretty unhelpful at the final roundabout. Hotel was still having building works completed. It was the usual cheap and cheerful - but premier classe are going up in price- no longer really cheap. Receptionist seemed pretty bored, but did the job.

I was extremely disappointed with my stay at Mister Bed Reims. First of all, it's not actually in Reims. It's in a neighboring suburb of Tinqueux. "A short 5 minute drive from the heart of Reims" was not accurate at all. Very misleading. There are buses that will get you where you need to go in Reims though. The wifi was not working the three days we stayed. We arrived and the desk worker seemed genuinely inconvenienced at our presence. The hotel itself was not anything aesthetically pleasing, but it was clean. There was a grocery store within walking distance to the hotel, Carrefour. I would not stay here if I were visiting Reims again.

Cheap but not suitable for a family with small children. hotel seems to have come out of a flat pack, tv wasn't working, had problems with the toilet flush. and no sound proofing, I found the receptionist walking along the floors looking for a crying baby to ask the parents to stop the baby crying... as one guest was complaining about the baby crying.

I would like to inform you that upon my arrival, the reception did not have trace of my booking. However, the blond young lady at the desk was very helpful and she also kept a hard copy of the booking that I received.

Great for a cheap no nonsense stop over when all you need is a bed. The quadruple sold was actually a triple but ok with small children. Camponile 200 metres away excellent for 50 euro meal for a family

A friend and I wanted to check out Champagne for a day before heading to Paris. The trilingual staff was very friendly and helpful, and the room was about what I'd expect for the price. We arrived early for the room, around 10am and were given a room key and told to return around 12:30pm. Unfortunately, when we returned, the room key did not work and the outside check-in vestibule also did not recognize our reservation, so we were not able to get into our room until 5pm when reception re-opened. Also, the walls are fairly thin and we were kept awake by the noisy party across the hall from us. However, that was not the hotel's fault and it was only very noisy when the party was out in the hallway. I would stay here again, as I'm sure both of these incidents were isolated. Breakfast and internet service are not included with the price as I thought it was and there is no hairdryer in the bathroom. But a very clean room and the breakfast is delicious and great for the price.

It was a great stopover from Calais to Vichy, easy to find, cheap and as the reception was closed due to the lateness of our arrival there was a very easy self-booking service outside the door. excellent value for money.

The room smelled very strongly of smoke. I suggest customers should be able to request a non smoking room.

My smallest gripe is that the room smelt of cigarettes. Probably the only way to prevent this is to have smoking and non-smoking rooms.

Very cheap motel but facilities OK. Room and double bed very small for 2 adults and 2 kids but fair for the price. Breakfast good and great location to drive into Reims to explore town and champagne cellars. Helpful staff member assisted greatly. Not the nicest part of Reims but was fine for our late arrival and early departure.
