Hotel Campanile - Reims

Hotel excellent! Location difficult to find, there should be more signs through the streets that actually lead to the hotel. The service and food at the hotel was excellent.

The hotel restaurant is worth a visit, because the hotel is a little way out of town (on an out-of-town shopping centre). The food is good. Reims has many attractions, including a magnificent Gothic cathedral, and lots of champagne caves (it's in the middle of Champagne). If you're passing through or staying a couple of nights the Campanile is worth a look.

Perhaps it's because I have become conditioned not to expect too much from overnight stop hotels that I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Viewing it from the outside my heart sank a little, however this was soon corrected when I entered the room, and things got even better in the restaurant. It’s worth noting that it is advertised as an hotel and restaurant, rather than one with a restaurant. This small but important distinction is well justified: the food and service were well above anything you might expect at a similar establishment in the UK. I shall definitely use it again.

Best aspect was excellent food, both choice and variety for dinner, and grat breakfast

Just a one-night stay but very pleasant experience. Travelling from Italy to UK and will be on our list of stays in the future. Immediate surroundings very pleasant with trees , flowers etc and a garden area outside the dining room, situated on the edge of a trading estate but no big problem and at least access not difficult. Did not eat at hotel but the dining facilities certainly looked OK

The room was very clean . the surroundings quiet , and that was what we were looking for . the restaurant was appreciate too .

Overall the place was excellent with good service & staff. Two major disappointments were (1) the distance from the centre of the city which required a 5 minute walk to the bus stop & then a 20 min bus trip. The bus service was good but it could be awkward in rain. The alternative was driving into the city & hoping for a park- this could be problematic during business hours. (2) The place is located in an industrial/commercial area with an excellent chinese restaurant 100m away or a "Maccas" 5 minutes up the road but thats about all- if you wanted to eat anywhere else it reqd a longish drive. Having said that, the hotel has an excellent restaurant "in house" The instructions on how to find the place are very good except for about the last 1/2 kilometer. It was however located very conveniently on the road to the wine growing area of Epernay.

It was good value for money. Therefore one could not expect too much for the price. A useful stop off place.

Supprisingly good for the category. Excellent staff

City centre reachable by car, good restaurant, pretty nice place to be.
