Grand Hôtel des Templiers - Reims

Very expensive for what it is, though clean and pleasant. Breakfast was excellent though extra and extortionate at E25. The price would be a little more acceptable if breakfast was inclusive. The location is just about Ok but very much on the edge of the old town area. Our room was 'non smoking' but had obviuosly had a smoker in it. We complained about the smell but they could only spray air freshener, no other room available and no discount or even much of an apology offered.

We arrived for our 3 night stay excited by the prospect of staying in a fancy hotel whilst we explored Reims. The grand entry and attentive staff impressed us, and we were really looking forward to seeing our room (180 euros)... Then all our hopes and dreams came crashing down around us. The room was located through the kitchen / eating area out the back of the hotel. The room reminded me of a trashy 2 star motel. A small room with no space for luggage, 2 single beds pushed together to form a double bed, a large bathroom and nice bathroom were positives. we immediately asked for a better room but unfortunately could not be moved. we decided to stay one night and see if it was OK. When we returned after dinner the windows and roll down storm shutters (Air tight) had been closed. i cannot put into words how stiffling hot and uncomfortable we were all night. first thing in the morning we checked out into a 2 star hotel and got value for our money. Sorry to say we were very disappointed. The Hotel is incredibly overpriced and i though more reviews should reflect this.

Very nice hotel. Quaint surroundings with an old-world atmosphere. Excellent service, great location and extremely clean hotel with the staff very helpful. Breakfast was a bit pricey so we went out to the local restaurants around the area for breakfast and had a great breakfast for 1/2 the price. Other than that, I would highly recommend the hotel to anybody visiting Reims.

Other than one breakfast being disappointing for 25 euro, everything was very good or excellent. Hotel was very quiet, but there were very few guests. Location is a little out of the way but that was not a problem. Staff congenial and helpful.

1 night. First classs hotel adjacent city centre. Highly recommended

For the price, the hotel wasn't as nice as we expected but the location was good and the staff were very helpful and curteous. We would return if the price was a bit lower (190 Euros per night)

For beeing a "4 Star Hotel" and the Price we had to pay for the Room you would expect to have the Breakfast included and not have to pay 25 Euro per Person. As well as for a 4 Star Hotel you would think they have a Restaurant in the Hotel itself. We defenetly won't be staying there anymore !!!!!!!!!!!!

The breakfasts were some of the nicest and best presented I have ever had, but to be charged £20 each, when my companion had coffee was outrageous. We were not told about this charge when we were asked if we wanted breakfast.

Only two complaints - the hotel is not quite as central as it could be, with walking at nighttime unadvisable - so a taxi necessary to get to and from the restaurants and the city centre. And way too much money for a hotel like this.

It was a wonderfull stay at the Grand Hotel des Templiers. The room is not too big but really well equiped and furnitured in a classy style. The staff was supportive and kind at any time of the day. The location at just a small distance from the historical center of Reims makes it perfect for a visit of culture, cusine, champain and quietness

This is an excellent facility. We shall stay here again.

Old fashioned luxury at a price. The breakfast was very expensive considering there was no choice.

A truly excellent small hotel that is very friendly and welcoming and an excellent place to launch yourself on a tour of the Champagne region. The room was excellent as was the staff. The selection of red wines in the bar was very limited but as they so rightly pointed out, you are in Champagne!

An excellent hotel in terms of quality and service, with all the charm of a small individual hotel. Certainly have no reservations in recommending the Grand Hotel des Templiers.

Small quiet hotel. Room was very pleasant and the staff on reception were all very helpful and friendly. Very convenient to walk to the cathedral and centre of Reims (about 10 minutes). Swimming pool in basement which we found good to relax in after sightseeing

We had a most enjoyable stay at "Grand Hotel des Templiers." Our standard room was small but well appointed and very comfortable. The breakfast though expensive, 20 Euros each, was substantial and an incredibly delicious combination of boiled eggs, meat, cheese, pastry and yogurt. I'd highly recommend this hotel which is in walking distance of the cathedral as well as many restaurants.

Hotel was a bit pricey for what we got. Room was large but a bit dated, I was expected more elegant surroundings.

This hotel is elegant yet welcoming. The facility is "top shelf" and the staff are courteous, helfpful and very friendly. Our experience was delightful and we highly recommend this hotel.
