Hotel Ariosto - Cade' Gaida, Reggio Emilia

The beds were incredibly uncomfortable, the bathroom quite small and the breakfast almost a joke

The hotel is in a great position, a few min walk from the main piazza. The staff is nice and helpful. The rooms are clean but not very big and with some damp spots on the ceiling.On the whole it's good for a comfortable short stay

Advantages:low price,excellent location, just in the centre of town (be careful,cars are not allowed unless you have a car pass, provided by the hotel with NO extra charge).Rooms, facilities, breakfast....better not to comment.

Basic hotel, old building but clean and OK. Breakfast is basic, bread, coffee, cookie but no ham or egg. Location is in center of city, very good. Parking is not a problem, they give you parking pass (free) and you can park in front of hotel, and if there is no room, you can park 50m away, it has very big parking. Helpful and welcoming staff, English was not perfect but enough.

The price/quality ratio was excellent. The location was very good for our purposes. The staff could not have been more helpful. Let me give you an example: we asked for a second set of keys for our son to have access. When the employee on duty at the time did not immediately find a second set, she offered our son a separate room free of charge. We did not need to take her up on the offer, and another employee soon arrived and provided a second set of keys.

This hotel was very disappointing. From the outside it looked fine, but the room was really bad. Everything was old and uncomfortable and dirty-looking. We had stayed in similarly priced, two-star hotels throughout our vacation, and this one did not come close to the others, all of which we would stay in again. The only up-side was that the neigborhood was surprisingly attractive and vibrant. I would not recommend this hotel.

The hotel is nothing special. Just a good place to stay for a couple of nights. no more.
