Enjoyed my stay at Villa Rigacci tremendously! The room was beautiful and spacious, and having a full size shower was a real treat. Everyone was so kind and helpful, would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay just outside of Florence. Very convenient to the train station in Figline Valdarno. The food served was also wonderful, and made it very convenient on those nights we chose to "stay in" for dinner. Would love to go during warmer weather and enjoy the patio and pool areas!

Nice place but not so well looked after. Staff is polite - but service only on direct request - breakfast is okay, but difficult to get attention from the service (last day I did not succeed to get coffee unless I walked into the kitchen.

This is one of 4 hotels we stayed at on our touring holiday. It was the most expensive and the one I liked the least. I thought that the outside area of the hotel, especially around the pool, was in need of some care and attention. The grassed areas looked very untidy and uncared for. The pool itself was large and very nice. The loungers were scattered untidily around, never saw staff do anything with them so always looked untidy and the grassed areas they were on had cigarette ends in it which puts me off laying there. There was not a place to really sit outside(one small bench) if you wanted to enjoy the scenery and relax. Inside there was a kind of sitting room, but it was very cluttered and seemed to us to be use of the owners mostly, so did not feel comfortable going in there. Never saw anyone else in there either. The only place it seemed to get a drink or sit down was in the covered area outside. Here there was a couple of sofas (felt would have needed to buy a drink though) but mainly tables for dining. The food was very good, but expensive. This was a nice area but the tiled floor looked like it should have been cleaned more frequently (grubby). We had a standard double room, which was not very big and found it difficult to find places to put things. Bedside table was a very small bracketed area on the wall (only big enough for the phone and loose). A small table with a chair. The portable television was placed on top of a fridge in a corner and wardrobe. Thought it was a very poor room. Bathroom was not too bad, but the floor in there was dirty, especially behind the door. Breakfast served inside or out on the covered area, which was good with plenty of selection. The staff were very good who we encountered. I was very dissapointed with this hotel and would not return. Would not rate it a four star as have been in three star hotels which were far superior.

The approach to Villa Rigacci is through suburban and industrial areas and not encouraging; however, once there the setting is very attractive. Below the hotel is a covered terrace for dining and below that a pool with plenty of space around. There are views to the south (Arno valley) west (Chianti) and east (Appennine hills and Vallombrosa). The hotel's other main strength is as a base for visiting Florence; you can stay in these rural surroundings but drive to a station with plenty of parking space within 10 minutes and travel by train into Florence in 30 minutes. 2 weaknesses: the food is ok and very varied but vegetables in particular are uninspired. And rooms have mosquito nets at the windows but they will still get you outside.

This hotel was beautiful and the quality of service is fantastic. The people are very nice and homely while very concerned about your comfort. I have recommended it for my friends and family going that way and i surely would be there when next am in florence.

Too much expensisive, expecially the dinner, quoted apart. Food is good but dishes are scarce and consequently the price results too much high. I've paid 7 € just to eat a vegetable soup (whose quantity was just 2 spoons!!). For the lovers of outlets, it is very near to The mall and Prada outlet!

Very welcoming staff, ready to help you with other reservations, trip advise, etc. The open air restaurant next to the pool serves delicious meals at a very reasonable price in a brilliant setting.

Villa Rigacci is a beautiful estate home in the Tuscan hills about 40 minutes from Florence by car or train and 30 minutes to the Chianti area. The grounds are lovely, the room spacious and the pool a plus. Good breakfast buffet and delicous dinners available in their dining room. We ate there 3 of our 4 nights because of convenience and quality. There's outdoor dining in nice weather.

Villa Ragacci was the best part of my family's trip to Italy. We spent 2 nights there after 2 days each in Rome and Florence and what we wanted was a beautiful, restful place within a short drive of Florence and conveniently located to the Chianti villages. Villa Ragacci was all of that and much more. The pics of the property as good as they are - don't do the place justice. The pool was enormous and the water refreshing; the location of the Villa very, very scenic and lovely; and the people who run Villa Ragacci were wonderful - sweet, helpful and out to make a visitor's stay as comfortable as possible. The other guests were all into their vacations as well and no loud, boorish folks. None. I only wish my family and I could have stayed longer.

Villa Rigacci is a typical old Tuscan villa that was converted into a hotel years ago. The overall feeling we got whilst staying at the hotel for two nights was one of faded splendour. The hotel overall is nice and welcoming, but there are many areas that clearly have not been maintained as well as they could be. The garden, for instance is left a bit rough, the lounge area is cluttered and a bit messy, etc. Our room was very spacious and clean, so no complaints there. What did make up for some of the weaknesses, was the friendliness of the staff in the restaurant and the reception area. Overall, I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel in the area for a couple of nights.

A great "Toscan" hotel! Accomodation is perfect, the food excellent and the owner always available to please you. A real "friendly" atmosphere that makes you feel at home! We realy enjoyed this stay and recommend this place to all Toscani's lovers.

During our recent visit to Italy, we stayed at 5 different hotels. The Villa Rigacci was by far the best one of all. I honestly don't know what was the best, because it was all great. The staff was helpful and friendly, the grounds and accomodations were clean and beautiful, the restaurant was excellent and had a fantastic view, and the price was more than reasonable for what you got. If we ever return to Italy, the Villa Rigacci will be on our list to re-vist. I hope you have the same great experience we did!
