In our room was noisy from the elevator. Overall hotel is recommended - great location, close to beach, Ravenna and its attractions.

The cheapest near Ravenna and only 10 minutes away by car. Clearly specialises in summer visitors (no heating of any kind in mid-October - they said the hotel has none!) Staff friendly but rather amateur. With only about 20 guests in a large hotel, they ran out of food for breakfast.

Single room extremely poor. Hotel i.d. whole area obviously not prepared for early-season visitors. Dinner not a la carte, poor quality, especially as later in the week I had excellent experience with local cuisine in Le Marche at the same price level.

This is a summer resort area, if you stay in March as I did expect a deserted land, albeit fascinating, at least to my taste. A single room at 35 EUR doesn't get any better. No complaints, everything is and works as it should. Don't expect luxury, but just an excellent night rest. I'll definitely stay here again.

Everything was fine, except the location was a bit disappointing as it is about a 10-15 minutes walk from all the other hotels and the "action" of the rest of Marina Romea.

We stayed here for about 10 days in August 2006. During that time we got to know the area pretty well. The hotel was very nice. Breakfast was good and the staff very helpful. At one point we had a truck break on my son's skateboard and the maintenance man spent a lot of time in his tool room helping us get it fixed. The beach is a short walk and very nice. We went on a couple of long bike rides on the hotel bikes. It was all very nice. Wifi at the hotel was inexpensive and fairly reliable.

It was the first time we stayed at the Hotel La Meridiana. We wanted to stay couple days near the sea and to enjoy Ravenna mosaics. It worked. Especially we enjoyed warm welcome in the hotel and aroma of pines in a park near the hotel. A beach is very close the hotel and beach chears available for free. However a beach and sea cleanness were under our expectations.

The rooms were very small and noisy. We paid for the dinner because we were too tired to find a restaurant and it was horrible. The complimentary breakfast was very good however. Staying right along the beach was wonderful, and very relaxing to walk on. I would reccomend this hotel only if you plan on not being in it very much. The staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke English better than we spoke Italian. My real complaints was the dinner, and the beds and pillows were hard.

I don't like the breakfast. I'm italian so, at least, I eat a good "cappucino" and a croissant: "cappuccino", coffee and milk are selfmade from automatic distributor, crossaint aren't present every morning.

A straight no-nonense hotel that especially caters for beach-go-ers and visitors of nearby Mirabilandia. Don't expect luxury, but everything is clean. Some staff speak English. The breakfast is busy and Italian-style: expect a lot of cake and not that much meat in the form of a buffet. The coffee is horrible: a sin in Italy. The hotelbar provides a normal espresso: but you have to pay extra. For the main meal I wouldn't recommend this hotel: in season there are plenty of nice restaurants to be found on the nearby beach. La Meridiana has a nice swimmingpool. The water is not heated, but that is no problem in the heat of summer. Prices in the bar are a bit steep (beer and softdrinks). Stick to wine if you want to drink alcohol: much cheaper and it tastes good. The hotel has an inhouse movietheater: everything is in Italian however.

Excellent hotel for families to stay in. Very nice pool, spacious rooms, play areas for kids, super close to the beach. Local tourist hotel with almost only Italian tourists. Highly recommended.

Relaxing, fun, spacious and clean holiday spot. English-speaking staff went far above and beyond normal expectations in terms of friendliness and accomodation. So close to beach, great amenities. Would recommend to anyone!

We stayed only one night beside the big tourism-season, so only a few guests beside us have been in the area. All services have been in preparation for the summer-season, most of the hotels and restaurants still have been closed. Although the feeling almost lonely in such a big hotel had been a little bit strange, everything was in good order. But we do agree with some of the other comments, that a shower-curtain would really be helpful ...

Hotel has new lift and corridors. The bathroom of the room was new too. Furniture and equipment of the room were not new but correct. Staff were very nice. They suggested us a enjoyable restaurant placed near the hotel to have dinner. Breakfast was complete. Good stay and price. It is not difficult arriving at the hotel from Ravenna. Most of the guests were families with children.

Our room was nice and clean, with a view on the pine-tree forest that separates the hotel from the beach (there are no hotels on the beachfront in Marina Romea). Breakfast was OK and the staff was nice. Dinner could be improved (and there aren't many other options around). We found this to be a good starting point for visiting the region (it takes 20' to Ravenna) and also enjoy the beach from time to time (access to beaches is included in the room fee).

It was a pleasant stay. Personnel is very friendly. The beach service is excellent. The breakfast was above average for this kind of hotel. The only discomfort was the open shower in the bathroom, which is stupid because you end up flooding the bathroom everytime you have a shower, even if you're trying to be very careful. In fact, in both our rooms, the bottom of the bathroom doors (af a decent quality wood) were starting to rot! Can't understand what is the point (saving on a shower curtain?).

A good quiet hotel, close to the sea side, yet only 10 minutes drive from the historical downtown of Ravenna. The employees are friendly, helpful and competent. I was guided on the phone during my arrival, and when I asked for an extension of my booking, it was also handled professionally. I am sure it was not my last stay in this facility.

Le Meridiana is a modern hotel in Marina Romeo set amongst pine trees just off the adriatic coast. It was ideally placed for birdwatching in the Po delta, or renaiscance art & mosaics of Ravenna. We had access to it's own beach club and is a good spotlessly clean hotel popular with italian families so can get a bit noisy at peak times, but overall excellent.

The only restriction - a major one -is the sound from the other rooms coming directly in our room. Between the last sleepers and the 1st awoken people the silence appears only between 2 00 and 7 00, a bit short for a full sleep night... But the rental room was perfect (30 m²), quality of the hotel (size of the room overcross our expectations) and employees (polite and speaking many languages or able to be understood). Breakfast was included in the price, - it was a good surprise as we did not notice it on venere -, and provided for people who like either sugar or salty meals. Maybe some fruits or fruit's salad would have reach perfection, but it was great. About the area, excepted for the pool closed (end of april), the sea and the weather : both of them a bit cold, everything was perfect and suitable to venre's info. We/you are able to access fastly national roads and highways, then travel up to Bologna, Ferrara (little city needs 3 hours at least to be visited, don't forget it), Venizia, San Marino, Imola (place of F1 race), Rimini, etc ; this within a travel of 1 hour / 1 hour and half maximum. To sum up Excellent place except noise, thank you venere.com !

Our family injoyed the hotel and surrounding area. As visitor from the US, it was a good way to see how the locals vacation at the beach. The staff was friendly and helpful, some younger staff even brought our twenty somthing children out for a fun evening. The facility was clean and in good condition.

Sorry, but my English isn't that good. We had a very nice stay for two nights. The price was excellent for us, as we booked last minute for only 60 € per night. not good: the restaurant was too expensive in ralation to the variety and quality of the offered meals.

We had a lovely time in your facility. It had just reopened for the season the day we arrived and even then, things were so well cleaned. The staff was extremely helpful for us with things to do in the area. Giovanna is the one person who went out of her way to help us. Being in another country and not speaking the language can be a barrier, but we never felt that way in La Meridiana. We would definitely recommend this facility to anyone going to the area. I just wish I could spend the entire summer there. Thank you for your hospitality and service. The breakfast every morning was wonderful also. Fran Steitler, Lyons, New York, USA.

The atmosphere in this hotel is a bit institutional. All the surfaces are hard and bare, maybe because of sand from the beach. Meals are ample but mediocre, and the staff is friendly. The open shower flooded the whole bathroom because the drain was slow, the toilet pipe leaked on the towels, and there was no shelf or counter for toiletries, which was very inconvenient with three people. The hotel seems to be partially under construction so there was a lot of dirt in the outdoor areas.

This was a lovely hotel. My only complaint was that the airconditioning wasn't cool enough on the first night, but by the second night it was a lot better (after we mentioned it to Reception). I will certainly return. The breakfast offered was great and served on a lovely sun terrace. The kids loved the swimming pool and slide. We also went onto the beach where there were sun relaxing chairs reserved for you. The Beach 'stabilimento' bar served a lovely lunch and were most accommodating.

La Meridiana is a wonderful hotel. Employees are very friendly and competent. The rooms are okay, with German TV. The breakfast was really great. The hotel has a swimming pool, you can rent mountain-bikes to see the surroundings with the wood and the lovely town. You can walk in two minutes through the forest to the beach. A very nice beach. Each room get two chairs and one umbrella free. The only problem: there are a lot of mosquitos around the hotel and in one of our rooms. But we enjoyed our stay and we will come back!

The room was very small and dark. The bathroom was not practical with the whole room acting as the shower cubicle!!! The breakfast was very poor with cheap food. The swimming pool was not clean. The beach was much further away than we expected. We did not think much of this hotel and left after 1 night!1

La Meridiana was the best bargain of the trip. It is a newer hotel undergoing some renovations, it was very clean and nice, and a real bargain at 60 euro per night. A good breakfast every morning, FOX News (we'd much rather have CNN) on the TV. The staff was very helpful, especially Giovanna, who went out of her way to do anything for us and always had a smile on her face. We had no idea what the Ravenna area had to offer, but the La Meridiana is just a short walk away from a long, beautiful beach, sort of like Florida. The town, near Ravenna where the hotel is located is has a bunch of little beach shops and casual restauraunts - we ate at the Da Rino both nights we were there, good pizza and fish. We did not go to Ravenna proper at all, but if you're looking for a very cool museum, the International Ceramics Museum is about a 30 minute drive away, and is fantastic, our favorite our of all the museums we visited in Italy. A vast array of old and modern ceramics is displayed in an excellent manner. This was a real treasure we stumbled upon. The La Meridiana and the beach was a perfect way to unwind at the end of our 18 day vacation.

Marina Romea stand in an area of great natural interest with few resort and plenty of beach space. The fitness facilities are including the second most important horse riding centre in Italy and numerous tennis couts. The little harbour and wide green spaces in the shade of age-old pines will be especially appreciated by those seeking a holiday far from crowds and noise, in the heart of nature. But beyond the green of Marina Romea, the roads give onto the Po Delta Park and nearby you find Ravenna with its antique mosaics of basilica San Vitale and San Apollinare, Faenza and its world famous ceramics, the games and fun of Mirabilandia, and many other place is to discover.
