Try to get a room on the higher floors if you don't want street noise. The staff was competent, spoke English and very helpful. Best feature was the offer of bicycles, which is the only way to explore the town. The hotel is also next to the train station, with free parking for rental cars, and only a few meters from the heart of Ravenna. Great local wine and meal at the Ca' de' Ven Ravenna, Via Corrado Ricci, 24 (www.cadeven.it)

très bon accueil et même si la chambre donne sur les voies ferrées,la tranquillité de nuit est assurée par une bonne isolation;proche des sites à visiter si l'on aime marcher.

We had a spacious room with double bed and an additional one (for 3 people). The staff was very polite and competent. Services were high standard. We had breakfast and a lunch at the hotel restaurant. Breakfast rather dull. Lunch: Fixed menu: good quality.

The only thing that disturbed me in my stay at Hotel Italia was that I have been given a room for smokers. The smoke smell was persitent, but that was probably my fault: I never asked for a no-smoking room. The breakfast is not that good. Apart from those things, i really enjoyed my stay at the Hotel.

From the highway A14, take the Ravenna exit and follow the indications to Centro-Stazione (train station). The train station is only 50 meters/54 yards from the hotel.
