Hotel Albergo Cappello - Ravenna

Beautifull place in center of town

The only factor that was not excellent to our opinion was the fact that the hotel has no access by car. This fact was known to us before our stay, the location of the hotel in the city center was in its advantage when we made our selection.

What a wonderfully atmospheric Hotel. The decor was rich without being overstated and space was was very generous compared to other similar grade hotels I've stayed in before. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Very good value. My only note of caution. The details of how get to the hotel fail to advise that it is located within a pedestrian area and accessed by a resticted driving zone, cars require to be parked about 200metres away. Best to ring before arriving to get details of where to park - I had to get a special permit from the hotel to save a local fixed fine

Ideal location for visiting the sites. Would always come back.

This is a lovely old palazzo which conveys a feeling of Venice. The staff is capable and very friendly. Room was well-maintained and offered fresh strawberries and cherries upon arrival. The location is somewhat difficult to find as it's in a pedestrian area off a one-way street but finding it certainly had its rewards. It appeared to be the only appealing hotel in the historical area of this city.

Nicest hotel we stayed in between bologna, ravenna, modena. Beautiful location, good breakfast, Better than three star. Staff could not be more helpful

Hotel to recommend. Staff very helpful. Very good location in the centre of the old town.It's an old pallazzo with antique furniture. If you prefer modern surroundings you are in the wrong place there.

This hotel is really very good for the price, quality and location.

Well located palazzo style hotel with chandelier-lit rooms giving off an uncomfortable level, either too little or too much light. The palazzo is perhaps decorated in too much of an idiosyncratic style stemming from its former owner, but in sum, this is a fine hotel that will please many visitors, and give some a little bit of the willies.

Best location for walking around the town.

It's a nice place. There was one surly employee (reluctant to find extra bowls for breakfast buffet)but otherwise the location was brilliant. A shame that the restaurant was closed on BOTH the nights we were there. The room was a bit pokey and claustrophobic for the price, but all the necessities were there.

Wonderful stay! The Cappello is beautifully appointed, the staff was courteous and friendly, the adjoining restaurant was also very nice. Will return every time we visit Ravenna. We loved it.

The hotel made special arrangements for breakfast as we had to leave early in the morning before the regular hours. Staff were most helpful A lovely hotel and a terrific location. I highly recommend it

The Cappello is very small (only 7 rooms I think) and very classy, with an attached but independent restaurant and bar. The hotel breakfast is limited. It's right in the heart of the old city, where cars are not allowed, and parking is arranged at a nearby parking garage (EURO 13 per day).
