Hotel Vesuvio - Rapallo

Should you be driving, there is no parking at the hotel. Public parking is a short distanc and the rate was 12 euros for 24 hours. The gentleman who worked the front desk was extemely helpful- could not have met a nicer man. The hotel is very certrally located - on the main street, right across from the board walk which runs along the coastline for about a kilometer and a half. A beautiful walk. Many good restaurants within a 15 minute walk. The train station is also a 15 minute walk. The rooms facing the coastline can get noisy especially on weekends because of the heavy traffic and noise from trucks and scooters. Garbage pick-up on Monday is at 6:30 so don't expect to go back to sleep. Breakfasts were good and there is a very large room where it was served. If you want to visit other areas, use public transport or the train.

The walls are paper-thin. We could hear the people in the next room conversing and on the other side a man snoring. All three nights we heard our neighbors talking.

Luciano and his staff could not be more helpful about places to see and do and how to get there. The rooms all had seaviews and balconies big enough to sit and enjoy this view.Straight out the front door and you were surrounded by bars and restaurants and I recommend Mario's for service and value. The rooms were adequate,accessed by a lift or stairs, the beds were big and there was a fridge. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would certainly stay there again.

Nice view from the room and nice city. Large choice of restaurants near the sea. The wifi connection is too expensive in the hotel.

It's a beautiful hotel, right in the center of the city and with a grat view of the gulf... the people there ... fantastic, helpful and nice

First stay at this hotel, management is very friendly, attent, you feel at home at once like a family.

Positive surprise. Hotel is well located by the beach boulevard, even though the address indicates a side street. Very friendly and helpful personnel. Room was in the first floor and a bit noisy. Furniture was quite simple but clean and everything was working well. Breakfars was also good.

Really helpful staff, who managed to find a room for some traveller friends who were stuck for the night. The sitting area for guests is right on the pavement, so you can sit and watch the world go by all day if you want. The location in Rapallo couldn't be better.

This was the end of a long trip troughought Italy and I had a room with a balcony overlooking the Med. How perfect. The staff were able to find me a room a day earlier than i asked and to email directions to the hotel that was very important. you only had to take the lift to the first floor and sit and watch the sea or walk with the hundreds of other people up and down the palm lined street. Across from the ferry stop. Several restaurants within a few blocks, internet sevice in the back of the local tobacco store, a few blocks to the train station. on one of the rainy days, you could sit in the lounge overlooking the sea and read or dream

We would recommend this hotel to anyone. Spotlessly clean. Lovely views from the bedrooms over seafront and promenade. Plenty to eat at breakfast. Good shops in town centre behind hotel. Ferries to picturesque towns of San Margherita and Portofino from just outside hotel (15 and 30 mins by boat). Less than 15 minutes by train to picturesque Camogli (Train station 5 minutes walk from hotel). Owner speaks good Engish and is friendly and helpful.
