This hotel has a great location and is good value for money. A family runs the business and everyone was very friendly (although not all the reception employees speak fluent english we got by with broken italian). We would definately stay here again just for the warm family feel. The rooms themselves are clean but certainly not modern, which is kind of a nice change. The hotel feels like a big family house with a friendly golden retriever "catch" to greet you at the door. Walking distance to everything in Rapalo, train station and ferries to surrounding ports. Good internet access and tourist info.

We stayed at the hotel from Sunday July 12 - Thusday July 17 and really had a wonderfull stay. Very nice and competent reception. We came in to early but that was no problem at all. The next day we needed breakfast somewhat earlier than normal opening hours: no problem at all. In one word: nice, friendly, efficient staff. Small family hotel that has been renovated and very clean. I will not hesitate a second to book it again when I pass again some days at Rapallo. Price / Quality: good hotel. We had a family room (2 adults and 2 teenagers - 12 and 16 years) and everyone was very pleased.

The worst hotel i slept ever!! The room was dirty, bad breakfast, too expensive for such a hotel!!!

The way that the personnel runs the hotel is not the appropiate for a 3-star hotel. The professionality is more similar to that one offered in a pension. I think they were not serious at all. The first problem we encountered was with the car. We had reserved one place at the garage and they did not provide us with it or any other alternative. They simply sent us to find a place to park out on the street, which was almost impossible. Then, the internet connection at the hotel was through a modem that did not work and we had to pay for trying to use it. Finally, there is also a security box in the room but no key. To sum up, I do not understand the relationship between the number of stars and the quality/price provided. I would also take out this hotel of the michelin guide because you have no place provided for your car. I would not recommend this hotel to a friend at all.

I dont think that the employees were very nice. The hotel is in the middle of a highway and it is very noisy, so that you can't use the balcon. Is is also heavily polluted because of the cars. It is too expensive.

Good location near the city center, the port and the beach. Very good look from the terrace. But no restaurant nearby and only a continental breakfast at the hotel.

The Hotel Stella was a charming little hotel. It is a direct walk about 15 minutes from the Rapallo train station. We were a team of mother and daughter so the easy access to local restaurants next to the bay was very convenient. The view from our room was beautiful. The employees were friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night, but I would definitely return to the Hotel Stella.
