This should be a 4 star hotel, not a 5 star. The location is a solid 20 minutes from Portofino by car, and there is nothing to see in Rapallo or within short walking distance. Although the pool & spa are nice, they are not spectacular and any other activities are an expensive taxi ride away. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels in Italy and this is not one of them, and I will not be recommending it in the future. If the cost were 20-30% less, I might feel differently, but it is very over-priced for what it is. It also has a bit of a corporate convention atmosphere.

Very good! Magnificent views (ask for corner room), but is situated over a busy road (lots of bikes at nighttime). Nice sundecks on 4 levels. The food on the premises is rather dull. But overall - a nice place to stay at a quorter of price you would pay in Portofino.

The facilities offered by the Excelsior Palace Hotel have been designed for conventions and events for up to 450 people. One entire floor of the hotel is dedicated to congresses, conventions, meetings, banquets and cocktails. The total floor space of the exhibition areas is 650 sq. m.

METHODS OF PAYMENT
Venere.com does not debit your credit card for your reservations. You will be asked to insert your credit card details which will be sent to the property only as a guarantee of the reservation. The bill will then have to be settled directly at the hotel. In case your chosen hotel needs a deposit, this information will be included in the "Cancellation policy" section and the deposit will have to be settled directly with the pre-selected property. It is not possible to cancel your reservation if you selected and booked a room indicated as "PREPAID/NOT REFUNDABLE".
