The hotel and its staff were gracious and charming. Many of the staff spoke english. Conveniently located for exploring the historic area of Quito. Traveling alone and arriving in Quito at night, one of the selling points when choosing this hotel was the on-site restaurant (as indicated in photos and details). However, the only meal served was breakfast. There are several restaurants within walking distance.

My family and I enjoyed our recent stay in Hotel Plaza Sucre. The staff was helpful, always available, and the view from the dining room on the 4th floor is beautiful! We recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Quito.

This hotel is old but well maintained with artwork displayed throughout. The breakfast view was stunning and the food excellent. The hotel is conveniently located in the old part of Quito and is close to La Rondo's restaurant area and many churches.

Excellent location if you like being in the center of everything especially the old town. Don't believe all the scary warnings about safety. Just use your common sense at all times. You won't have any problems. The addresses and numbered locations are crazy. The long distance bus terminals have changed, don't rely on the major travel books, ask the locals. Go to Otovalo for the day on a week day but leave early. You will have a pleasant trip. Have fun and be safe. Stayed 5 days!

This was our first stay in Quito and it was very positive. The hotel is in a great location in the historical centre, close to everything. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. There are not many restaurants in the historical centre, but it is easy to catch a cab to La Mariscal. Watch the cab drivers, make sure they have a meter and have plenty of change because somehow they never do.

The good: Price is excellent and location is pretty good, one block from Presidential Palace and Trole (trolley). The common area is very spacious and nicely decorated. The bad: no chair in our room (3 beds!), no windows to outside and noise in common area is extreme. The lobby "bar" was closed all week with no explanation. Overall, I would definitely stay here again!

Excellent choice. The only problem was that guests returning after midnight had trouble awakening the night night clerk to let them in.

Very nice boutique hotel in the "old"town area. Safe to walk around during the day, close to dining, quiet area. We were there for one night after our trip to the Galapagos. Very clean, and beautifully appointed. We had an early flight and asked the night before if juice, coffee or tea would be available at 6:00 AM. Assured coffee would be however, was from the night before and no sugar, cream, etc. This was our only concern. Would stay here again.
