Hotel Villa Odino - Quarto d'Altino

ONly small things are a bit downgrade ( when we ate a small Dinner , and asked for the fire for candle-light : candle was just for decoration..) . The distance from Train-Station is maybe 1.5 km and plus . Not a walking distance on more , not nice way too . But as Plus : the taxi , which was offered for Airport ( 45 km) was a reasonable price . Also the terrace for breakfast was great when it s sun . Breakfast buffet was good , but i miss the real italian rolls . The transport to/from Trainstation ( short trip to Venice) wonderful . And the Staff: wonderful and much thanks to them for advice and was my best I get in last years of travel .

Generally a very nice hotel with beautiful, clean rooms, an excellent pool and garden and friendly staff memebers. Big minus: The highway is quite close so it is very noisy sometimes. Furthermore the surroundings of the hotel are not that exciting (including the possibilities to eat and go out) and one day trips to the sea and the mountains are pracitcally impossible (at least during high season) because of traffic jams and lack of public beaches. So I can not recommend the hotel for longer stays but for shorter stays to relax with one day trips to the lagoon and Venice.

Very nice hotel.Room was very clean and had an "oldy worldy" feel to it, with wooden beams, really quite and set in a rural area. Pool area strange as they have cordoned poolside with rope to stop entry into the pool, you can only enter where the shower is situated which you must take before entry, then walk through a foot bath. Reason prob is ingress of mud from sunbathing area on the grass, but it did detract from swimming experience or is it just me ? But pool itself well maintained. We found an authentic local restaurant on the same road past the museum in Altino ( on the airport road !) ask reception. No tourists in there only locals when we visted on a thursday night, nice food at good prices, we were given a free drink before we left, nice touch. Sum it all up a very nice quiet hotel with quality bilingual staff and a comprehensive buffet breakfast that should please everyones tastes.

Friendly reception. Nice, clean, comfortable and quiet room (ground floor of annex, giving onto pool area, yet privacy assured through hedge & flowers). Excellent breakfast. Friendly, on demand transfer service to and from the railroad station.

Hotel personnel were friendly and very helpful. It was a good choice for a last night prior to an early morning departure from the Venice airport. The hotel secured a taxi for us for 25 euros. To get to the hotel after we dropped our rental car at the airport, we paid 39 euros. We ate dinner at the nearby Ristorante Odino which specializes in seafood. Dinner was excellent.

We enjoyed our stay at the Villa Odino. The rooms are very modern and the property is kept in immaculate shape. The staff was pleasant and friendly. Some things to be aware of though....The website advertised a free shuttle to the local train station, but they advised there was a small charge for that service. They also advertised "Free" internet, but they advised there was a small charge for internet use. Neither of these concerns would make me not want to stay here again, but when your traveling in a foreign country, the fewer surprises, the better.

Pleasant, quiet surroundings. Good breakfast choice. The room we had was much smaller than the web picture, but as long as the rooms are clean and quiet we didn't care. The web site listed a free shuttle to/from local train station, but they in fact have a 2 euro charge shown on the notice boards. However we didn't need this service and so don't know if it can be waived. I would stay here again.
