Check out was a nightmare! It did in fact taint the experience. Check process is incompetent. I was not allowed to leave - even after having given all of my details (credit card passport etc). I threatened to contact the police - I was still not allowed to leave.

A place for families that need to have children in a safe environment free to play and do sports. Comfortable. I enjoyed tennis, sea, and dancing.

The food was the worst of any resort I have been to. Keep in mind that we travel quite a bit and are used to high standards. However, the food was subpar to even low standards. The buffet was ok, because they cooked some foods in front of you, but the sit-downs were horrible.

I'm so concern about service in this hotel. I liked the installations, but with the service you can count maybe 2 that give us a good one. Since we enter to the lobby, we saw a lot of employees angry with the hotel, so you can't enjoy in that way. If you do a change in that part, you will be a great hotel.

The air conditioning unit in our room was horrible. It was cooler outside of the room, however we could not leave the sliding doors open due to mosquitoes. When we complained that our air conditioning was not working well, they came to check it, but did nothing. This is my only complaint about the hotel, however it was a big problem since it was very hard to sleep at night in a humid, 85 degree room.

PRICE: The hotel, stating that they could not make a US dollars charge to a credit card, charged me in Dominican Pesos at an exchange rate different from the one that the credit card used, increasing the cost by 5% even when they assured me that this was not going to happend. After my claim, neither the hotel nor Venere gave me any response, even when Venere had said nothing about paying in cash or changing my credit card payment to pesos. FOOD: At the buffet restaurants, the food quality is medium to bad. At the "A la carte" restaurants the food is a bit better but you are required to do a reservation in advance and people at the hotel makes everithing thay can to discourage you from doing that: extremely bad and rude service at the reservation office, long lines, short operating schedules for the reservation office, very low capacity at the restaurants (even when there is physical space to serve at least two time of the people they serve). SERVICE: They forgot to clean the rooms one day and they never refill the minibar during my stay. After two phone calls to the front desk, I desisted to have it refilled as I don't go on vacations to spend my time arguing.

Service was generally listless but most were at least friendly. Food was OK but I don't think you go to inclusive resorts expecting five star cuisine (at least we didn't). Overall, a good experience.

Excellent hôtel (enfin, un 5 étoiles qui les vaut amplement et même plus.) Personnel ultra-sympathique, avenant, volonté constante de faire "encore mieux" pour la prochaine fois. Bref, vous m'aurez compris et pour faire très bref : vous ne serez pas déçus !
