We waited one hour to get the room in spite of we arrived at check-in on time. The food and drinks were not good, specially wine. Beds were uncomfortable. The beach was nice and people were friendly.

I think this resort caters for people who enjoy the all inclusive live style. There were many Germans and Americans too. It's not a cheap place, but the service is good. Great Beach. We only stayed 3 nights here.

We arrived by car from Santo Domingo. At the gate the security guard asked us for proof of our reservation and I presented him the printout from Venere.com. After a short while he asked me to speak on his phone to the front desk clerk who told me he could not find our reservation in their computer system, but the guard was instructed to let us thru. At the counter we were greeted by a nice young man who after unsuccessfuly searching for our reservation ended up calling his supervisor. This young arrogant young lady, who he said was the hotel manager manager, in a very bad attitude told us that we did not have a reservation and that she did not know what Venere.com was. After a long while of hostilities and after calling some one else over the phone, she said that the only reason she was going to let us register was because we had "this piece of paper, but that I would have to pay an additional US$100.00 per night for the second person. I tried to explain to her that in the web site where I made the reservation, clearly stated that the price was US$147.00 per night per room. She kept deniying that. Well, I asked her to let me show her the Internet page but she replied that they had no access to Internet. I then asked, how do their guests use Internet? because I had seen some guests using it. She said that I was not a guest. After over half an hour of disputing back and forth she allowed me to pay US$5.00 for a half hour of Internet usage and allowed the nice young man to go with me as a custodian to the Internet cafe. There I showed him the Venere page where I made my reservation and showed him where it said US$147.00 per night per room. Then, on his testimony his manager allowed him to check us in. My recomendation is that this so called manager be sent to manage the kitchen or any other department wher she does not have to have contact with clients. She does not have the personality nor the training nor the intelligence for her position. I think that nice young ma

Venere.com does not debit your credit card for your reservations. You will be asked to insert your credit card details which will be sent to the property only as a guarantee of the reservation. The bill will then have to be settled directly at the hotel. It is not possible to cancel your reservation if you selected and booked a room indicated as "PREPAID/NOT REFUNDABLE".
