The advertising material is out of date, reflecting a grand past. There is no pizzeria, the cocktail bar was never manned or stocked properly. With nowhere to sit around the pool area and no service on the terraces, it was as if they did notwant you to stay around the hotel during the day. On several occasions large parties were held in the grounds of the hotel preventing the use of the swimming pool, which remained empty for three days. On a positive note, the staff were very friendly at all times and did thier best to help us enjoy our holiday.Which we did. We ate at many local restaurants serving excellent food and very resonable prices. It was therefore dissapointing to be charged such a high ammount (nearly 3x) for the meals we had in the hotel restaurant. No prices or menu were ever available, making deciding what to have very difficult. Eg. On arrival on our first evening we were given very basic anti pasta, (cheese, ham, bread and wine)as the restaurant had finished serving for which we we were charged 80 euros. For two adults and three children that is just plain greedy! The only time we were shown any bills or reciepts was when we checked out at the end of our stay. In conclusion we had a great time, its just a shame the hotel did not seem to have its act together for people who do not speak Italian. Being overcharged leaves a bad feeling.

We had a great time at eden park, although a phrase book would have come in very handy, we didn't ever find the pizzeria or tennis courts, whther that was because they weren't there or because we couldn't ask for them I don't know. The beach was lovely while looking out to sea but the back drop of graffiti walls wasn't spectacular. We stayed for a long weekend which was fine but I wouldn't go back for a longer holiday, but that is due to location rather than eden park itself. The room was fine and cleaned reguarly, we had a balcony which was lovely.

The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food was great. Only downside was that you had to cross the road to get to the beach which we were led to believe was only 10 metres away. It would also have been nice to have been able to order food from an a la carte menu as my wife does not eat fish. Howver the restaurant staff did bend over backwards to make up for this.

Eden Park has a Super setting, excellent building, rooms are large spacious and we had safe parking. the area has lots of sunny, sandy beaches which were not crowded. the Hotel staff were very helpful and unfailingly friendly. Two negatives. the breakfast was inadequate. Nearly no cereal, no fruit, no cheese or meat. When we sampled the dinner, no menu was available, and the price of everything was a mystery until when we were leaving. then we thought the price of dinner was too high.

Quality of room was very good as a three star hotel. Only breakfast did not meet the same requirements as chain hotels, ie. Best Western. I would like to see more on-line opportunities in Southern Italy. I don't want to book rooms by fax. Nevertheless, I am very pleased for the venere.com service. Pages are well planned.

I had booked a bed & breakfast & the manager told my husband we had half board. We spent a lot more money than we had expected. The service was poor. No one explained the meals to us when we arrived at the restaurant. The pool was never refilled for anyone to use. Our toilet seat was broken & no one came to fix it. They were not very accommodating at all. We would not return nor would recommend it to anyone else.
