Wonderful place with a beautiful spacious garden. Very helpful staff. They even bring your breakfast to your room. The rock beach near the hotel is a nice and not crowded place. It’s located 25 minutes walk from the centre of Procida, but it was a very nice walk.

Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. A beautiful property with lots of garden areas, terraces and sun beds. Too far to walk to a good sandy beach (eg. Lido), but a good rock beach nearby. Very quiet area. Beautiful.

Having spent a whole week at Tirreno Residence I can only recommend the place. It's location, the exceptional friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, all speak for themselves. It is a brilliant base to explore the island on foot. I would not recommend Tirreno to walking impaired or lazy people although Tirreno offers a shuttle to the beaches etc. The only thing keeping us from rolling as complete balls of the island after sampling all the available cuisine was the need to walk everywhere. We will be back! PS. Mosquito spray is absolutely a must.

The hotel is way better than i expected. the room was perfect, the people really welcoming, there are quiet places in the different gardens under the lemon trees, 2 great terrasses on the roofs, one of them with a wonderful view on the harbor... if I knew, i would have book for at least 2 more nights. Anyway, I'll come back, that's for sure!

This is a basic place to stay in order to enjoy Procida - good location for walking into town and good price but not necessarily somewhere we'll be desperate to head back to - a useful base without being a reason to visit.

It was wonderful place but a bit distant from the port.it wasnt a problem during the day but night was spent moving around by taxi(due to our desire to not walk 20 minutes each way).the staff recommended places to visit, eat and enjoy in the local area and were fab. use the bus by day so well worth it and as relaxing as it is, don't get stressed if you find you've seen it all in two days, it's a small part of paradise

This hotel was spacious and located in a very beautiful area with an amazing view of the island. Unfortunately both the pool and hottub were not available in late April when we arrived. The room was clean when we first arrived however it was not cleaned and we were not given any fresh towels until we complained on the second night! The owner was very kind and they showed us the nicer areas to visit on the island. Don't be alarmed by the narrow alleyway you need to walk down to get to the room because the hotel itself is very safe and welcoming.

The hotel is set in beautiful surroundings. the panoramic view is beyond beautiful. the staff was very nice. the only down side was the walk down via faro was long and narrow, but we took advantage of the car service the hotel provided (to the beaches only) for 2 euros. you just had to be aware of the hours of operation for the car service. it's a 5-10 minute walk to the supermarket and a fruit and veg. stand so we were able to take advantage of the kitchen in our hotel room.

We loved this place. Lovely garden with a lot of plants, lemon trees and flowers all over. You can have your breakfest served anywhere you like, indoors or in the garden. We chosed the spot with oceanview behind the carparking. Very friendly staff. We would love to come back some day.

Hotel Tirreno was a brilliant place to stay after a couple of frenetic (but enjoyable) days in Naples. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, the grounds were extremely well kept and there was a great ambience to the place. We had two children with us and it was great to have a two room arrangement with a small kitchen. The chance to have breakfast amongst the nearby olive trees while looking out over the Bay of Naples was priceless. Overall, this was one of the most enjoyable stays during our trip. Also, keep an eye out for Lello the very cute and friendly neighborhood dog.

The hotel was in a fantastic postion with a great garden sitting area at the top of the cliff overlooking the main Marina Grande harbour. Goffredo and the staff were very helpful and all understood and spoke English well. They offer free internet access which is helpful. There is a fantastic swimming place off a rocky platform about 150 metres from the hotel giving easy access for confident swimmers. Lots of fish to watch with a snorkel. THh island is very small and easy enough to walk around everywhere - you can see round the whole island in 2 or 3 days. Food in the restaurants is good - the hotel will operate a car/taxi service to any place on the island at agreed times each day. The buses are also good, frequent & cheap. The rooms are only cleaned every 3 days (unless you pay an increased charge) which is not stated until you arrive - it would be better to have cleaning every day. We got bitten quite a lot by insects in the evenings/overnight, so use protection ! Overall very relaxing - lots of time to sit & read, swim & enjoy local life & food. Ferries make it easy to access Iscia or Naples for the day if you want more to do.

The perfect place to relax. The staff are very helpful and give excellent service. They were only too pleased to order evening meals to be brought in from nearby restaurants if we didn't feel like going out after a day spent exploring the wonderfully tranquil island. The views from around thehotel are very pretty - especially overlooking the bay.

Absolut gigantisch!

E.g. the breakfast in the garden directly at the coastline with great view to the sea and procida harbour and naples - wonderful /// very kind people in this hotel trying to help with everything - very familiar /// I´ve been to procida the third time. In my opinion - take this location (taxi from harbour to hotel € 10.- is enough (5 minutes) and absolutely fair we were told. The best wishes, Matthias.

We stayed at the Tirreno for 5 days and it was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a computer at reception for guests to check email. The location was perfect, we walked to the beaches and the port, about 20 minutes each way. But if you aren't physically up the walk take a microtaxi for 8 euro. The view of the port from the hotel is amazing. Hotel Tirreno Residence in Procida is an excellent choice for budget conscious travellers since it is only a short ferry trip to Ischia and Napoli. We cannot wait to go back next year.

This is such a cute establishment. Mind you it could use a womans touch. Two things which could be better is the seating in the gardens and the roof top solariums , they are very old . The gardens are very pretty and have wonderful aroma of lemon and orange trees. Also, the rooms we had were bottom level and had the smell of mold. Must keep in mind this is an island and we were there at the beginning of the warm season, May. For the price you, cant beat it. There was a kitchenette and very nice staff who will bring you tea and pastry in the morning at the time you wish or you can cook entirely by yourself. We sent out for dinner and the restaurant, which was recommended by the staff, was one of the best meals we got on our trip.

The Tirreno was even better than expected and much more beautiful than shown on the screen pix.The staff, starting with the owner,il Sig. Geoffredo, was first-rate. Especially awesome were the breakfasts, high up in their garden, overlooking the Bay. My brother and I were both delighted with Procida and The Tirreno. We would surely wish to return.

What a lovely place! Breakfast in a garden overlooking the sea, shaded by olive trees and figs, reached by a path through an orange grove! A small cup of Limoncello before bedtime under a full moon, watching the lights come up on the distant shores around the bay. (And they make their own Limoncello here, from their own trees, a particularly fragrant and powerful variation.) Truly an island paradise. On more practical matters, it's a 25-minute walk to the restaurants in Marina Grande, or an 8-Euro taxi ride. The beautiful Marina Corricella is another 10-15 minutes beyond the port. The sandy beach at Ciracciello is an easy bus ride away. The accommodation was clean, quiet and comfortable, with its own little kitchenette and a terrace with small table and chairs just outside the door. One mosquito spotted in the room, but several bites around the ankles testified to more in the vicinity. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We'd return in a flash!

May 2005:the photographs do not do the property or the views justice as in may the garden areas were full of colour and perfume. distance from shopping/port/restaurants centre needs clarifying perhaps. as a solo traveller i wanted a quiet few days at the end of a busy touring holiday and this was an excellent setting for this enabling me to sit reading in very pleasant surroundings.

NOTE TO WEBSITE DEVELOPER. I WROTE A MORE DETAILED REVIEW - BUT WHEN I WENT BACK TO MODIFY IT, IT DISAPPEARED AND I DIDN'T WANT TO REWRITE EVERYTHING. THIS ASPECT OF YOUR REVIEW SITE NEEDS IMPROVING. I'd definitely recommend Hotel Residence Tirreno. It was the best value for money accommodation we stayed at in our whole holiday in the Naples area. We stayed there in September; I don't know if prices vary much during the summer. We found Procida a wonderful place for a short tranquil break. Tirreno may seem a bit far away from the interesting places on the island - but they're actually only a 15/20 minute walk or a bus ride away and Reception are happy to call a taxi. Reception and staff were really helpful. The room was nice and the outside area is very pleasant: tranquil with greenery. There's a garden overlooking the sea on the other side of the road. The internet point at Reception is a nice touch.

Procida is a beautiful island, largely unspoilt at the moment. The residence is two of the island's houses converted for tourists. We thought it was great. It had beautiful gardens, great views over the bay of Naples, helpful staff and places to get the sun or shade as required. The rooms are simply furnished and comfortable. A short taxi ride from the harbour, or a leisurely 10-15 minute walk, its a good location. We were there in October and it offered a relaxing break with the opportunity to take the ferry or hydrofoil to Naples for sightseeing.
