We stayed 6 nights in Praiano. We had he breakfasts (included in the price) , lunch and only one dinner at the hotel. It was OKE . The best place to eat was Il Pino, for the quality of the meal (excellent) and the quality of service and decor. Another place is called La Brace, was also excellent food.

The service here is exceptional, the staff are helpful and very courteous. The food is also excellent, however the breakfast fruit should be fresh not tinned, The position is excellent as regards the views but the entrance and general public areas are stark and could be softened with lots of plants and greenery, similarly the terraces could also do with some greenery. Overall it is a good location for a short stay. Be warned the coast buses are very full even out of season, prepare to stand

Tramonto d'Oro is a great, familyled hotel. Not too big, good breakfast buffet and comfortable rooms. Ideally located for trips at the Amalfi Coast. Some good restaurants in the town of Praiano as well. Would go again.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Staff are fantastic, food was superb and they even cater for gluten free diet. We will certainly be returning to this hotel. In way of improvements I felt an outside bar/lounge where you can have a drink after dinner or get a cafe during the day and admire that wonderful view would be good. The rooms could also benefit from some updating. FYI - It is 400 steps exactly to the rocky beach at the bottom. Not worth the climb, you can do a short drive to Minori or Positano if you want the beach.

The reception was great and very helpfull, they offered us an upgrade with a balcony for a minimal price. Breakfast is o.k. but the view is exceptional and the service is fast and very pleasant. The people working at the front desk and reception are more than GOOOD they are are GREAT. They will help you get the best deal on tours.p.s. If you want to visit Capri, take the superior tour with only 4 to 5 couples on a 48' cruiser, it is worth all the extra money. In all, the hotel is a great place to be , in the middle between Positano and Almafi. Don't forget to visit Ravello and Pompei, a must. In all this hotel is a good deal that is including a great view, good food and very nice staff.

This hotel is excellent. We are well-travelled, in many countries, over 30+ years, and can honestly say this is one of the best. It is well-run by the owning/resident family, the food (from a good menu) is beautifully prepared and the service is very good. The rooms are enormous! (Our standard room was a large bedroom with sitting area, plus large bathroom and walk-in dressing room.) Our one complaint... The publicity material does not begin to do this hotel justice! It's location is superb - perched on the hill in the centre of Praiano, with unobstructed views across the bay to Positano - and Capri in the distance. The roof-top pool and sun deck are a must for sun-lovers and swimmers. Strangely, there is not even a sign on the building to show that it is the Hotel (the hotel parking sign is the only indication!). Tip: When booking, check the exact location of your room, as some have restricted views.

It's just a fantastic place to go! great view, fantastic staff, great restaurant, nice atmosphere.

The only comment I have to make is I tried to email property personnel to help wiht transfer to property prior to arrival and could not get a response. I had to located and find transfers on my own. Also, the beds are hard, but so are all of the beds in the rooms we stayed in Italy. Sondra Fox

Tramanto D'Oro was outstanding. We had the most incredible view of the Amalfi Coast and watched the sunset every evening from our hugh balcony! Staying in Priano was just a delight, close to all Amalfi towns, without the tourists. I would highly recommend Tramonto D'Oro!

This hotel has the the most impressive view of the Amalfi I have seen. The views from the balcony, pool or terraces are stunning to say the least. The hotel is easy to get to, being on the main Amalfi coast route. The rooms were clean, but may need updating in the near future. The breakfast was excellent and the staff was helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is one of the best we have ever stayed in. The staff are friendly, efficient and helpful and in contrast to many other tourist hotels the rooms are superbly maintained - no blocked drains or broken air-con. The view from our sea view room was truly breathtaking. Breakfast is taken on a terrace overlooking the sea - what a way to start the day!

Beautiful Hotel in a lovely situation and views. Seaview rooms were excellent and staff very helpful. Dinner menu perhaps a bit limited and the balcony should be opened up for dinner as well as breakfast. Thoroughly recommended
