Hotel Onda Verde - Praiano

Our stay was absolutely fantastic. Rooms were great; food was great and staff was friendly and accommodating.

I traveled with my husband and I stayed in a beautiful room at the Hotel Onda Verde. The hotel restaurant is also good. Unfortunately the staff never told us that there was a walkway behind the hotel that would take us to a path through the rock to the city. The owner has no good will and patience to give information in English.

Onda Verde is a lovely hotel in a superb spot. If you spend the extra money for a deluxe room with a view and small terrace, you will be guaranteed a gorgeous view. Well worth the money as the other rooms are small and have some obstructed views. In the assets column, this hotel has a great location in the lovely little town of Praia. The hotel is airy, bright, clean, and the elevator cuts down on some of the stair climbing that is part of the experience in Praiano and Praia. The view is beautiful from the rooms and from the restaurant, where breakfast on the terrace is lovely. In the minus column, there is something oddly unfriendly and unwelcoming about the staff. Particularly the gentleman who is at the desk most of the day. Most of the others were nice, but this guy really colors the whole experience. Also, the restaurant, breakfast aside, is mediocre at best. Which is hard to understand in a location where superb ingredients are so readily accessible. The hotel restaurant is easily avoided, as Da Armandino, which is a wonderful fish restaurant, and Il Pirata, which is also quite good, are five minutes from the hotel. All in all, we loved Praiano, we loved our room,and the problems where relatively easy to deal with. So I give the hotel a 7 out of 10.

Overall this is a very nice hotel with great location and wonderful views. The food is good, not excellent. The wait staff was great as was most of the other staff. Hotel managment was a bit stuffy and not helpful with advice. We enjoyed our time here but left with the feeling that the hotel manager was a bit greedy with lots of little charges adding up. That was the only disappointment. Good parking lot.

Onda Verde is a beauituful hotel located in an amazing place. We enjoied every moment and we'll come again.

Wonderful Place. Worth the stay.

Std room, very small for the price. One of the people at the front desk had major body odor. Hotel didn't have water, other bevergaes avail to the guests at no charge, as similair hotels did offer.

Nice hotel in a lovely place. Quite expensive, but every hotel in costiera is expensive.

This is the hotel for anyone looking for a quiet retreat on the Amalfi coast. We received excellent service throughout our visit and will definitely return in the future.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Onde Verde. We have so many pictures of the view from our hotel room terrace because we couldn't believe how spectacular it was! The food was excellent and the owners and staff were friendly and helpful. I advise anyone with luggage to book the taxi to Sorrento--the buses were very unreliable when we left, and in fact, two buses passed us by in the pouring rain. Hope everyone enjoys their stay at Onde Verde!

The hotel was lovely in a fabulous setting. Every room had a private pation that overlooked the Mediterranean. The mattress on the bed could have been a little better, but otherwise, our stay was perfect.

I expected the quality of the meals to be better. The dinner offered with the half pension was not memorable. In all other respects the hotel is excellent.
