The hotel offers a great value and large-sized rooms. If you don't want to stay in an impersonal hotel in the $$ tourist area, try the neighborhood of Vinohrady. It's really NOT an outlying area & is moderately walkable to all the sights. The area itself is incredibly pleasant with local pubs and stores. As a single traveller, I felt safe in the area. Metro is very accessible and most places would be a quick few stops away, if you didn't want to walk. A few observations: the single elevator is quite small; so if you're adverse to taking the stairs, this might not be the place for you. I was upgraded to a "junior suite" which was quite spacious with a full-sized bathroom, king bed, sofa, desk, chair, etc. However, the room faced the street and it can get noisy in the morning hours (fair warning!). The A/C worked well, too, if you can't stand the noise with the windows open. Staff are helpful, speak great English, and the main lobby has a free computer to use (wifi access, too). Don't expect a swimming pool, health club or a "grand" breakfast. Pay double/triple that price if you want those things and want to stay in that impersonal, large hotel with hundreds of rooms (they have +/- 30 rooms). Nor is this place one of those grubby, little pensions that might look charming from the outside but haven't had any updates in decades. And besides, walking around hilly Prague is a work-out anyway. If you only have a paltry two nights in Prague, you might want to stay somewhere in the heart of the action to maximize your stay in the city, but even in that situation, I'd seriously give this place a look AND you'd get access to a neighborhood you wouldn't otherwise have explored! The breakfast was acceptable and not "bad" by any means & didn't seem to vary from day to day(fried/boiled eggs, yogurt, meats/cheeses, cereals, coffee/juice), which is also pretty typical for hotel breakfasts. I would absolutely stay here again for a return visit!!

My entire stay was just wonderful! The staff were all so helpful for the full six days and any little question I had was met with extreme concern and friendliness. The breakfast was in a darling room and was a full one everyday with whatever type of beverage you wanted being served anytime of day or night. The first night the desk receptionist made my daughter and I capucinos at 10:30 so she could study and I could use the computer in the lobby. When we had to check in early due to our arrival time we were upgraded to a darling suite and were so comfortable in our room. The chambermaid felt like my personal friend after only one day. The laundry service was superb and really my jeans have never looked so good. They offered us a converter to borrow. Whenever we needed a cab they got it there and in only a few minutes as when we decided we didnt have time to take the metro to the opera and when we called the desk they got back to us in just a couple minutes with how long it would take to get there and how much it would cost and we met the cab in only 10 minutes at the door. The front door was always locked and the receptionist would run to the door and open it if we had trouble with our key. Really this was an exceptional hotel for the money and I have already recommended it to other parents and family members to stay here when they come to visit their children who are involved in study abroad or other travel to Prague. Thank you so kindly for making my visit a pure pleasure!
