3rd floor with no working lift. Problem with hot water before checking-out, but fortunately the staff was so kind and understanding that they helped us and allowed us to stay beyond the check-out time. No all personnel is English speaking, especially after 7 pm, but this was not a big deal.

Very helpful staff. There is always someone in the reception. The location of the hotel is pretty good - safe neighborhood, close to trams and metro. Rooms are cleaned every day. The breakfast is really good (cheese, scrambled eggs, sausages and whole wheat bread) and for free! The only bad thing was the elevator, which we were stuck in (although, the staff was quick to help us out).

The hotel is OK, not very bad, but not like a 3 stars hotel, more of 2 stars. But the location is excelent and the relationship between price and quality excelent, too. Most of the staff were really friendly and very good city guides.

Location totally accessible to all parts of city, short walks only buses and trains. Maps and directions easily understood. Staff very friendly and always ready to offer advice and help with their knowledge of surroundings and familiarity with services. Hot water to shower slighty intermittent but aside from that the room was spacious, clean and warm. Breakfast better than most other hotels fraudulently claiming full breakfast service. I would recommend this stay for anyone who likes affordable yet very comfortable and very friendly surroundings.

OK, all of this is granted that I paid 36.5€/night (including breakfast), which goes a long way toward soothing bellyaches: POSITIVES: - breakfast is included and fairly diverse - the desk staff are very helpful and speak very good English - the room was very clean (cleaner than places costing 10x more in France, I'm talking to you Hilton Eiffel Tower!) - at most a 5 minute walk from St W's plaza, less than a minute from the Metro, centrally located if you want to see more of Prague than just the Old Town. - area felt safe NEGATIVES: - was put on the top floor in room #10 (the dreaded 1 floor beyond the reach of the elevator; I'm pretty sure it is the one already pictured for the hotel) to provide a double with beds pushed together for my wife and I, even though it turned out a friend of ours stayed in a "single" (room #12) which had a queen size, IE no gap - mattresses were hard - room was cold and only had the meager comforters, the radiators had no steam as it was to be activated later (we stayed in the 2nd week of Oct); again our friend's bed had more blankets and potentially a softer bed...and was on a floor with total elevator access - our room was noisy due to it sharing a wall not windows, but skylights) to a busy street and down the hall were noisy teens So over all, pretty OK, but considering the price: GREAT

The room was big, location is ok, 5 minutes walk to metro station. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. There are only two things which were a pity. First the room is just beside a main road, it was noisy in the evening. Second the breakfast was bad, not many choices.

The hotel is on a good location and that's it. Rooms are poor, bed was broken, elevetor is only till the 3. floor, it was impossible to have a dark night to sleep (curtains did not work), unbearable street noise 24/7 and the worst experience was the pathetic breakfast... There are much better hotels for the same price in the 200 meter radius.

I didnt know what to expect from hotel's in Prague. The Hotel Venezia was quirky, like stepping back into your nana's house with flowered quilt covers and mis matched furniture but I felt so comfortable and slept like a log the three days I was there. Worth a try but not if you want sterile Hilton type rooms. This hotel has 'character'.

- We were deeply disappointed. Especially the bathroom was disgusting. There was mould in the shower and on the ceiling. - The rubish bin in the bathroom has not been emptied during the four days of our stay. - One of the receptionists was extremely unfriendly. - For breakfast, there was no fresh cheese, no sausage or even dark bread. Almost only sweet stuff. - We got fresh towels every day but one day only one big towel and three tiny ones for the feet. - One day my boy-friend lay down with a flu - trying to sleep - and the charlady came in not even asking him whether it's okay for him or not - and started cleaning the bedroom (there was no "don't disturb" sign for the door). - The heating was not working properly. + German television available. + not far from the old town = for German standards not even one star for the hotel

Everything with Hotel Venezia was ok, location, staff, breakfast etc. The reason why I give such a low score is the price for a tiny single room was the same as for a big lovely double room. My little single room was situated on the upper floor with low ceiling on one side and a very small space around the bed. And there was also a bad smell of toilet all over, so I had to keep all windows open staying inside. To pay the same price for such a room as for a large double room can not be accepted.

The hotel had 2 buildings. We stayed in the main building the first night and here it was very much noise from trafic. A fire station was just across the street, very annoying. The next 4 nights we stayed in the other building, and here it was quiet, exept for the fire brigades. The breakfast room was in the basement, and the breakfast was good, I think it is a normal czhech breakfast. But we get what we paid for, a cheap hotel near old town. The hotel laying only 5 minutes walk from Waclaw Square, and 15-20 minutes walk from the center of the old town. It was a hotel for sleeping nothing moore.

One good thing was that the hotel had a computer to hosts access internet. However, there is only one key to hosts open the door of the room. If there is more than one person sharing the same room and one is inside the room and the other outside, he/she will have no knock the door. The recepcionist didn´t like to open it. Also, the TV was not functioning and there were no telephone in the room. Therefore, I really don´t recommend this hotel to people wishing to share a room or want a better confort and it shouldn't be classified as a three star hotel.

Location is nice, close to Wenceslas Square and to subway station (I.P. Pavlova). We were travelling with another couple, while ou room was really huge they had a very small one, so ask for room 20 (or bigger rooms available) when making reservation. Avenue with traffic right in front, but double-windows worked well. Reception staff was not very helpful, looked as if girl was doing us a favour... Fair relationship price / quality / location, but be aware not to expect more than that.

We liked so much the central location of the hotel , conveniently close to all the major sights. Our room was very big, clean and nice. The breakfast room is enormous and there is plenty of food and juices, ideal to start a hard day of sightseens. The staff at the reception was able to help us and gave us useful advices about the city, in general they had a professional attitude, friendly but never invasive. We apreciated a lot the free internet point and the free safety box service.Considering the relationship price/quality/location this is a very good deal. After Paris,Prague was the most beautiful city that we visited and I wouldn't hesitate to reccomend to anyone to visit this charming place and to stay at the Venezia.

My parents and I went to Prague on holiday. We got a spacios, clean and quiet triple room on the attic. The breakfast is OK and the staff is very helpful. The best thing of the Venezia is its location. Two blocks away from Wenceslau Square (where everything happens) and 15 min away on foot to the Old Town. Even to the Castle (on top of the hill) one can take tram 22 or 23 on the corner of the hotel and get off in front of it and then head back to the hotel on foot enjoying great views as you go down the hill.

Consigliati entrambi.

Holy False Advertising! My husband and I booked a double room at the Hotel Venezia with an en suite bathroom. When we arrived, the woman at the reception desk showed us to our room and explained that our bathroom, although private, was across the hallway--definitely not what we had reserved! After we protested, she offered us a discount on the room, which we accepted since we did not want to drag our bags around Prague trying to find a hotel with available rooms at the last minute. Apart from that, the room was decent, albeit quite small, and there was water damage on the ceilings and our sheets had holes in them. The breakfast was okay and included in the price and the hotel was in a pretty good location for the price. Overall, it wasn't horrible but definitely not a three-star and there are tons of hotels in the city with better locations, a fact we realized after it was too late to make a change.

Unfortunately I can't talk about Hotel Venezia, because just the day before leaving I received an e-mail concerning a reconstruction of an entire floor of the hotel, so that we could stay in another hotel nearby at the same price and conditions. At first the alternative was Hotel Leigie, but few minutes later I received another e-mail with another hotel: Pension Museum. Finally we did check in in Pension Museum directly. The only negative aspect: the communication was based on e-mail only, it would have been better calling us! On the other hand Pension Museum was an ideal place to stay! I would advise it to my friends!

Very good choice concerning the hotel. We stayed in another building of the hotel, 50 meters farther, in a quiet street. Excelent wellcoming, allways extremely kind, competent people at the reception. Simple, but good breakfast. Clean room, beds and bathroom (only shower in that building). Easy access by public transport (airport to hotel 45 min by bus+metro: fast, sure and cheap! Don't need taxi!) Adviceable to pay cash; by visa card we payed more because of the money conversion. Gorgeous city! We'll be back in the same place!

The hotel contacted us 2 days before arriving via email to advise us that our room was no longer available due to renovations that have run over time. They offered an apology as well as made a booking with a nearby hotel to accommodate our family. I exchanged a could of emails with Venezia and they were always prompt, friendly and helpful with their replies. We ended up staying at the Hotel Legie which was fantastic. Hence scores are for Hotel Legie. Only problem with this new hotel was the presence of a huge Italian school group which arrived at the same time we did and proved to be both rude and inconsiderate for the duration of our stay. Not the fault of the Hotel I guess and I have to say that Hotel Management did their best to keep the rowdy school group under control.

The day before our departure (because I asked if all was ok), Hotel Venezia told us that there were no more available room in their hotel due a restructuration...so they bookd for us a new Residence. In this new one (V-Tunich Residence) all was excellent, but the comment is: if I didn't ask nothing, I should be in a new Residence without explanation...so The personnel of Venezia Hotel are no so serious.

The best part of this hotel is it's location. It's close to Wenceslas square and to a subway station. Brakfast buffet is ok. You don't have a lot of things to choose but you won´t be hungry. The worst: the staff isn't very kind and the service. You aren't advised that they change the towells every 3 days or you have to pay extra money if you want to get them changed before. In the same way, they provide shampoo only the first day. Besides, we got a room on the 4th floor and the elevator (which didn't work the day we arrived) only gets to the 3rd floor. And last, be careful if you made your reservation in Euros: they are going to ask you to pay in euros (cash) and if you don´t have euros they allow you to pay in CZK (the local currency) but they make you a profitable exchange for them and in case you want to pay with credit card, they apply you even a worse change: for example I was charged 19,35€ more than my reservation rate for paying with my credit card.

We could not have a room in the main building of the hotel. Instead they send us (they paid the taxi) in a nice appartement in the middle of the old city. It was very nice and very well located.

Perfect location. Just 3 minutes walk from a tram that will take you directly to the castle. Breakfast is OK. The room while a bit small had heating. The beds were comfortable and there is free internet. Brilliant!

I don't know how much this reflects the normal functioning of the Hotel Venezia, but they had had a pipe burst the night before we arrived. As a result, the room we had booked was not available. They moved us into another room in a 13th century apartment building they manage and paid for a cab to transport us there. It was very small and not as comfortable as we would have liked, but it was a much better location than the Venezia proper--right in the heart of Mala Strana within a few steps of the Franz Kafka Museum and the Charles Bridge. The price tag seemed to reflect the calibre of the location more than the room itself. They still provided us with breakfast, although the food wasn't the freshest. The woman at the desk at the Venezia had told us that the maid would bring us breakfast. We waited for her for over an hour before we went looking and discovered that there was a breakfast room on another floor. I can't say anything about the Venezia itself as i never saw any of its rooms--only its small dark lobby. After we had booked, we decided we would stay an extra night in Prague. The Venezia didn't have any available space for the next night, so they booked us into the Hotel Bologna at the same price we paid with them. That was a gorgeous hotel, and extremely comfortable. Their room was 50% off because of an arrangement between the two establishments. All in all, the Venezia went out of their way to meet our needs.

It would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

More a 2/1 star hotel. Room provided not as pictured on website. Hotel seemed to be integrated with a business block. Room and hotel clean but room provided shabby, only to use as a base if you are not too fussy and you are on budget. Excellent location.

The room, whilst large was in the roof and sloped down at one end which made early mornings a bit more exciting! However the accommodation was always really warm which made up for any minor shortcomings. Location suited us as it was on the cusp of tourism rather than right in the centre and convenient for all public transport.
