The Iron Gate Hotel & Suites - Prague

Is not a true five-star hotels. I'm very disappointed with the hotel for several reasons. I chose the tower suite, the best one for the hotel but my holiday was completely ruined. First of all, I arrived saturday afternoon and the only shower in the suite didn't work and up to sunday night they haven't repaired it yet. therefore I haven't had a shower for two days and it is really unpleasant! secondly the suite is too cold. Finally the jacuzzi bathtub is awfully dirty and I have evidence of this: i have taken some photos of it. People at the front desk are incompetent and not very friendly. the relationship between price and quality is bad.

Our 7 day holiday at Irongate was exceptional.Staff were always willing to help and pass on their happiness.Very clean with exposed original painted timber ceilings. The Cellar restaurant could be more personal in decor but staff compensate and are great a broader menu for the tourists may help but the other hotel restraunt compensates all.The hotel is close to 'everything' and all in walking distance. The hotel depicts the countries early lifestyle.

Excellent location, just minutes from top attractions. Great value for money. Perfect for a weekend in Prague. Highly recommended!

We thought the Iron Gate was a great value. The room was beautiful with wooden beamed ceiling. Not on the Square but 2 minutes away very convenient. The staff was outgoing and very courteous not to mention great at giving directions.

Very comfortable room and bed but TV (if required) not well placed for viewing and lighting not ideal. Breakfast was euro-hotel- typical, but lacked some fruit juices (e.g. grapefruits) and spoons for jams/marmalade. Inevitably I found the piped music unnecessary and not to my taste.

A very pretty hotel in a excellent position to visit the Center of the City. The only point is that in the reservation breackfast was included, only on site I be informed that was excluded. I really suggest this hotel to all who whant to spent a we in Prague.

Very spacious and comforatable room. Outstanding location.

I booked a junior suite and it was not worth the price. The hotel would not accept my credit card because the back of my card read, "Please see identification." (I do this to prevent credit card theft.) I offered my driver's license and passport, but both forms of identication were unacceptable. My friend signed his card, but it was smeared and not legible, but that credit card was accepted over mine. This is not a safe way to pay at a hotel, but according to the hotel, it's the Czech law. I was in Prag visiting during my trip to Germany for a wedding.

The hotel is very well located (a quite place close to the crowded places of the town. If you are visiting Prague for the first time it is definetely a good place to get a flavor of the city. Breakfast would need improvement especially the juices as well as the service quality at the terrace

Outstanding position to visit Prague. Nice hotel with large, and comfortable rooms.

I stayed with my daughter in mid december to visit the Christmas markets. We were very pleased with the hotel in all aspects. The location was excellent and the staff welcoming. Breakfast buffet was fine.

First time at the Iron Gate.We are very pleased with the stay...first class!We will be back next year

Prague is fantastic and the Iron Gate is perfect to visit the city. It is in a charming old style bulding and the room are very spacious. it is in the heart of Prague.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left (3 nights) the service at the Iron Gate was second to none. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms had such character and were cleaned from top to bottom every day.....they even turn down your bed, close your curtains etc every night! Breakfast was delightful, a mixture of Continental and Cooked, ending with freshly cooked Crepes made at the Table....mmmmm!!!We can't wait to return.

This hotel was wonderful. The staff welcomed us with smiles and each day were happy and polite. The food in the Cafe Bognor was very good and staff full of smiles for us. Location fantastic! My son (19 years) purchased this holiday for my birthday gift and I was so happy when we were shown the hotel. We had a fantastic holiday in a beautiful city made better my the Iron Gate Hotel and all it's staff. I am trying to book again for October as I loved the place so very much. Thank you to all in the hotel and to Venere for making it so easy for him to book sucha wonderful birthday gift!

A wonderful hotel - beautifully decorated and with enormous rooms. Very nice staff and a great breakfast.
