Overall, the hotel is a good value for location and amenities. We arranged to be picked up from the airport by a taxi service arranged through the hotel. At arrival into Prague we did not find the taxi and used the shuttle service to the hotel. Upon arrival, the host at the front desk was very rude telling us that we did not show up to use the arranged taxi service. We explained to him that the taxi was nowhere to be found but he still called us "lyers". I was so upset that we were thinking of changing the hotels - cool heads prevailed and we stayed. Other than the initial shock of being called names the hotel was clean, convient walking distance to major atttractions and good value for the money.

Das Hotel befindet sich in einem Altbau mit hohen Decken und geräumigen Zimmern. Wir konnten dort preiswert in zwei großen Zimmern wohnen. Das Hotel liegt 10 Minuten Fußmarsch von Vaclavske nam. und 5 Min. von der U-Bahn entfernt. Das Personal sprach gutes Englisch und hat uns gute Restaurans und Ausflugsziele empfohlen. Leider gingen die Fenster auf eine große und laute Verkehrsstraße, weswegen wir nicht bei geöffneten Fenstern schlafen konnten. Sonst waren wir mit dem Hotel zufreieden.

Well, don't expect anything associated with 'Palace' given in their name. The given room was like in the attic area..with only a really tiny window facing the sky...not quite pleasant, almost felt 'locked up'. The other problem is that the elevator is sometimes out of order... so imagine climbing up the 5-6 floors after a tired day out. And to make things worse, it was quite eerie .. with the lights spoilt pretty frequently.

After the first night, we asked for a room a little calmer. Unfortunately, that wasn't possible. The room was very noisy, indeed. So we leaved two nights earlyer as announced; a fact that the responsibles of the hotel didn't understand.

Very helpful staff! Breakfast is very plentiful. My luggage lock is locked and I could not open it.The staff is very helpful and try their best to solve the problem.I am very impressed. Thanks to this hotel and I'll strongly recommend it to others.

Bon petit hotel sans grande pretention. L'acces internet en libre service (sur un seul PC, helas) est fort utile. Accueil sympathique, mais un point negatif : a la reception on a oublie de nous prevenir qu'ils n'acceptaient pas les cartes de credit la semaine ou nous etions (a cause d'un changement de banque).

Good quality/price. Breakfast is poor. Ask for room with the garden side (more quiet). There is no locked luggage room. Staff is nice and pleasant. Good area. 5 min to Vencesclas Square.

hotel san marco was basic but clean. The reception staff were really helpful and friendly. the breakfast is great, has everything you could possibly want! our bathroom wasn't in the room, but that was ok cause nobody was ever in it! and most other rooms did have bathrooms. The only problem was that we never got any fresh towels for some reason! We had a massive balcony though. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable stay for our first time in Prague, would defenitly reccomend it.

El hotel es muy bueno, la relación precio calidad es sobresaliente. Las habitaciones son de buen tamaño, nos hospedamos en una habitación triple, contaba con dos camas individuales y una matrimonial, baño privado tv y desayuno incluido. La ubicación es perfecta ya que se encuentra a 10 minutos del centro (caminando) y también cuenta con una estación de metro a la vuelta del hotel. El personal es muy amable y siempre dispuesto a ayudar. RECOMENDADO!!

We stayed at the San Marco Palace for 4 nights. The location was good for us, and we walked from there to almost all the sites we visited. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms seem to have been recently refurbished, and are spacious, light and airy, and reasonably clean. So too the bathrooms. However, the furniture is cheap and uncomfortable. The bed boards in our initial room simply collapsed when I lay down (I'm a big guy but that never happened to me anywhere before!), and the clothes closets were chipped and their doors broken. Upon complaining, we were immediately given another room where the bed survived our stay...The walls are mostly bare, giving the room a stark character. There were good-sized tables and light chairs in each room, but not comfortable lounge-types chairs. The rooms can sleep up to 4 guests comfortably. If the management would invest in better furniture and hang some pictures on the walls, it would improve the quality significantly. The breakfasts were plentiful and tasty. We got a good deal through Venere.com (40 euros/night for B&B for 2), so relative to other offers for the time of our stay, I feel that we got our money's worth. I would recommend the hotel for budget-minded travellers.

Nice area of Prague; public transit is close by. Reception staff were helpful and stored our luggage for several hours before check-in. The bathroom was clean and private; not en-suite but next door to the room and obviously originally shared by the rooms on the floor. It meant you needed to put something on if you got up in the middle of the night but wasn't really a problem as there is only one other room close by.

We had a lovely room on the top floor overlooking the courtyard. It was quiet. We did not have to share a bathroom but it wasn't connected to the room. It was set up to share with the room next door. We always had to lock the door. But it worked out well.

The hotel was situated close to underground and was easy to find. there was a nice welcome, we arrived at around 12 and the booking in time is 2 but she took our bags etc and kept them so we could go out unlaiden with bags.The rooms are basic but clean and a have all you require. A continental breakfast is included and its self service. On the day we were leaving our flight was late evening and you have to be out of rooms by 11 but they lock up your bags for you, we picked ours up at 6. You have to pay in cash but they take Crona or euro. It is not a luxury hotel but overall it is good vaule for money and an ideal base for a lovely city.

Our "private" bath was next door - private meant we had a key. We were on the 4th floor, the railing at the stairway was loose and unstable. No trash bins were provided in the rooms. Housekeeping seemed to mean making the bed, and supplying towels. Tea cups had to be returned to breakfast area by guests. Breakfast was extremely sparse.

The hotel was very impressive. Continentail breakfast so had to eat alot of bread and cheese but ok otherwise. They did move us once they found out there was a whole bunch of lads so very family orientated understandable.

Very clean and spacious triple room. Nice breaskfast. One problem: hotel requested payments in cash due to a complication with their bank, they said. Inconvienent to be prepared to pay for 4 nights in cash. Hopefully, this is only a temporary issue.

The hotel is a 30 mn walk from the Charles bridge, but only 5 mn from the subway and the tram, which makes it easy to reach the main sights of the city. Bkfst was fine. No air conditioning in the rooms. The environment of the hotel is nothing special but the staff makes the difference, very helpful and nice. We thought it was a very good quality/price ratio.

The poorest breakfast I have ever seen !! The hotel is very noisy. Rooms are poorly furnished. Hotel too expensive for what it offers. But the hotel is well situated.

The hotel is perfect, clean, quiet, the relationship between price and quality very high. Our rooms (2 triples) are apartments, very large and comfortable. The breakfast is very abundant (but tipically continental). If I have to find one defect it's only the distance from the centre of the city, about 2 kms, but the metro it's very close, less than 200 mt. I advice you this hotel.

We stayed in San Marco at the end of April -07. Good location, near metro and tram stations and - most importantly - U Kalicha. Our room was spacious and clean as was also the bathroom. The window in the room was kind of a roof window, but it did not bother us as it faced the inner yard which made the room quiet. The breakfast was decent - enough for our needs anyway - and the staff was nice. Overall very nice and clean little hotel and for 65 euros a real bargain.

there is a metro line running under the hotel and the noise was very annoying. moreover during our last night there were some drunk dudes and the reception took no action although we mentioned it twice. the time was already 4-30 in the morning so we didnt sleep at all. in conclusion the floor was very dirty & the breakfast poor. + we had free internet access & metro station-trum nearby

Recently refurbished hotel with huge room plus en-suite, all marble floors etc, nice breakfast included in price. One of a number of hotels on a busy (traffic) street about a mile out of the city centre, but our room was at the back and very quiet. One problem - the hotel claimed, the night before we checked out, that they had sent us an email just before we left asking us to pay by cash ("changing credit card payment system"). We refused and they eventually managed to process our card without too much difficulty. The email has never arrived. The hotel is fine, just be prepared to stand your ground.

the room was too hot, without air conditioned, ventilator wasnt available, the room was small although the bathroom was biger. the breakfast was slim choice but clean. the receptinist wasnt very patient or helpfull with tourists.

We had a great stay at San Marco Palace. The rooms were great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated just around the corner from I.P. Pavlova terminus which made it very easy to get to the rest of Prague and to/from the airport on public transport! Very clean throughout hotel, and had a good breakfast. Overall, a great stay. Well situated whether you want to use public transport or make your way by foot to Prague centre. Young hotel staff were very helpful at all times and quickly provided us with a garage for our car in a neighbouring hotel. Rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. The only fault were the curtains which were not quite wide enough for the windows and so we were awoken by the light at the crack of dawn!

The hotel was ok, nothing special but it is clean and close to the centre of town. We were very disppapointed however to find that we were charged three (3) times for our stay. We did not realise it at the time but were charged for 3 times on our credit cards what was due, but of course we were back in UK so found it difficult to overcome space and language. After many attempts we still have not received our money back to date , almost 2 months later. We would recommend that you do not stay at this hotel unless you are paying in cash.

The hotel room was huge with a comfortable bed and plenty of storage space with a separate bathroom of an excellent standard. despite the very cold weather (it snowed!) the room and bathroom were lovely and warm.

Downside - Rooms on front Street a bit noisy due to busy traffic. Towels in Hotel not changed in 4 days. Plus points . Large airy rooms well presented. easy access to piblic transport from hotel.

The hotel and staff and location and price in general were good. There are some points with the advert that could do with correction. Room facilities were described as satellite TV, radio, direct dial phone, and hairdryer. There was no radio in my room, no hairdryer, and there was no picture on my TV - sound only. I mentioned this 3 times at the desk and was told that previous guests had inserted a code number to block out unwanted Sky channels and no one in the hotel was able to decode it. I was told there was no other TV available to replace it. It is slightly misleading to state there is a restaurant, and it is not next to the lobby, it is in the basement. A restaurant has the facility to provide cooked meals - the "restaurant" in the hotel is nothing more than a breakfast room. One of the sliding doors in the shower was missing and it was difficult to take a shower. We arrived on Saturday and clean towels were in place. These towels were not replaced until Wednesday when we threw the damp and dirty towels on the floor. It seemed the only way to get clean ones.

The staff at the hotel were extremely welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms are very large and nicely equiped. The free breakfast was nice to have and actually good. The only downside of this hotel is its inconvenient location. The map on the website is a little bit hard to understand but the hotel is really not near a whole lot. If you don't mind spending money for taxis, this is a great hotel. Otherwise, be sure to bring comfortable walking shoes...
