The Old Town location was perfect; we walked everywhere. Our room was spacious and airconditioned with bathroom amenities. The polite staff was extremely helpful. A full breakfast was included. We apprecited have limo service, less costly than the taxi, to the train station. the U Prince restaurant is steps from the hotel and has a fine menu. The veal was excellent

Stayed here 04/01-05/12. Room was clean though very small, almost a cube. Staff is competant and courteous. Breakfast was decent, wellpresented in a nice atmosphere. Location is right around the corner from the Old Town Square, and just a couple easy walking blocks from the underground, which connects to the main train station. One caveat: We stayed in Room 103, and the noise from the Hard Rock Cafe next door can be close to unbearable. If they give you that room, please, BEG for another.

We loved the Hotel Rott for its location really central. Breakfast was very good. Resturant menu looked very good we didnt get to eat there because we got back too late each night. Our room was basic enough bathroom needed modernising. Expensive for the price per night it cost, compared to others we have stayed in that cost the same and quaility was much higher

A fantastic location for the price - very close to the Old Town(the Old Square and Astronomical clock just round the corner),Jewish Quarter etc. Prague is a beautiful town and great for a short break. The food seems to be a means to an end - simple, meat and carbs to soak up the really excellent beers. But great coffee houses and cakes (especially the Kavárna Obecní dům in the amazing Municipal house). Our 3rd floor room was clean and spacious, and the toilet in a separate room from the shower was a nice addition. We faced the little square and could see the Tower of the Old Town Hall. Nice and quiet (but we were there midweek and were aware of Hard Rock below - which could be an issue I guess if you were on the first floor). Good comfortable bed and when we asked for more blankets -very cold week in February we got 2 more duvets - so were plenty warm enough. A very good (free), varied and filling breakfast - best scrambled eggs I've had in a mass catering context, plus good sausages and bacon and really nice bread with caraway seeds in. The staff were all helpful and friendly For the price great value all-round. Only negative (as with all mainland European hotels I've ever experienced) could do with a kettle/tea/coffee in the room.

You cannot ask for better location - in the heart of Old Town! Rooms might be not that spacious as you would expect in a 4*hotel - but at that location, you hardly spent any time in your room. Staff was so nice, smiling and helpful you can hardly find any better anywhere. We will come again and recommend hotel to all our friends.

Definitely not a 4-star hotel, it couldn't even be a good 3-star hotel. Only positive thing is location, rest is crap compared to the prices. Rooms not clean. Noisy rooms. Beds not comfortable at all. Breakfast average. Employees under-qualified.

Prague is an expensive city. For 100 EUR per night (2 people), this was a good value. It is easy to get anywhere from this very central location. Air conditioning is a plus--if the square is loud, you can always close the windows. The room was spacious, well-appointed, secure. Excellent variety at the breakfast buffet. My only note would be that the picture of the Breakfast Room on the website does not correspond to reality--I think the picture is from the hotel restaurant, not the basement breakfast room, which was attractive, but there were no windows.

Hotel Rott is ideally situated - just aroung the corner from the Astronomical Clock but a short walk from the Charles Bridge. That said, the picture of the hotel is misleading. The original picture, which is a historic building, is now the Hard Rock Cafe so you cannot see the supposedly precious paintings either. The actual hotel is the next block. But otherwise, I would recommend it.

ATTENTION.

We stayed in a double room overlooking the street and could see the tower of the Town Hall. Accommodation was what was described on Venere. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean. Breakfast was typical European fare - just what you want when you are in Europe. The location was fantastic - close to Main Square, Christmas Markets, Town Hall, great shops and resturants. We moved to the Hotel Rott from the Hilton and very glad we did. The cost was very reasonable for the great position.

This hotel was in an excellent location - just round the corner from the Old Town Square, where the Christmas market was situated & all other famous sites are within walking distance. The staff at this hotel were very friendly & helpful. Our visit to Prague was to celebrate a special birthday for me,& on arrival there was a complimentary bottle of champagne awaiting in our room. The only thing that the hotel could benefit from, is a larger breakfast area, as at busy times it became a little congested in the self serve area. Other than that, we would certainly return to this hotel again.

Supurbly located but this in my view is not 4 stars. A very old building has been adapted to modern standard. The compromises are substandard bathrooms and poor public rooms. The front desk is understaffed to extent that when the single operative slips out for lunch only the bell hop (little English)remains. There is no time to do more than offer help not to provide it. At breakfast the buffet items are replenished spasmodically. The booking is in Euros but billing in local crown

Excellent hotel. Rooms were very comfortable, very clean, spacious and with excellent air conditioning. The breakfast provided was very good with sufficient tables in the cellar breakfast room. The hotel has a restaurant attached which provides good quality food and value for money (although sultry staff serving). The hotel is situated very centrally and a pefect location to explore Prague which is a beautiful city but very busy in the summer and a little "touristy" and has KFC, McDonalds and Starbucks. Just hope when you visit the exchange rate is better than the 28 CZK to the GBP (£) which we experienced.

We loved this hotel especially for the location. The hotel building itself was a historically noteworthy. There were three adults in my party and we were given a huge suite with two rooms. The bathroom and toilet were separated, large, and very clean. We had plenty of room to spread outselves out. The receptionists were somewhat helpful and friendly but it could be improved. The location of the hotel right on the Old Town Square was noisy, especially on the evening of the European Football Cup finals. However, the double windows were effective to eliminating the noise and there is a fan/air-conditioner unit for ventilation. Breakfast was also great. I highly recommend this hotel.

I advaice Hotel Rott because it is a good hotel in an excellent position, with cleanliness of rooms and a plentiful breakfast. Only one negative attitude: pay TV. The location is excellent, and the hotel is well furnished and equipped. There was no latitude with check in or check out times however. Location was excellent and that was our highest priority. Our rooms (triple and double) were both on the top floor (4th) which had the feel of a coverted attic. Floors were hollow plywood and the a/c units could just barely keep the rooms cool. We could easily hear people a room over. Both rooms only had skylights for windows and one large one in our double had no way to close out the light so it was over the bed and bright in the morning. Other odd thing was that you had to have your keycard to use the elevator and since they only issued one it made it difficult logistically some times. Also, the phone did not work to call front desk or operator. On a more positive note the breakfast was excellent in a beautiful room in the basement of the building.

Very easy to find, just a stones throw from the underground, the price is great (late AUG 2006 90 Euros) for the location (right in the heart of old town). The room was VERY nice, the bathroom was VERY nice, the Breakfast was more than enough, a great selection to suit any hunger. I cannot say enough to describe this place, it is WELL worth it. I am sad we did not stay longer, our trip to Prague was a quick 1 night stay. The town, the hotel amazing we loved it and when we travel to Prague again we will definitely stay here again. The only moan I could have is the late check in, 2pm its great for when you are leaving but arriving can be a pain, they did store our bags though and because we were leaving very early the next morning they let us have that days breakfast. AMAZING...Cheap travel to the hotel – take the 119 bus to Dejviska Station then Metro A to Staromestska Station depending on your exit from the metro turn right out the doors onto Kaprova st and walk down towards the old town square then take a right onto Maiselova st keep walking down until you come across the hotel can’t miss it, if you do just ask and the locals, whom will point you in the right direction. ITS just around the corner from the old town square. GREAT LOCATION

My only complaint is about the cost of parking. You charge 900 CZK per night which is over 40 USD. Nowhere in the world have I ever seen any parking fee that was this high. The highest is about 25 USD per night and that is extremely rare in places like central Manhattan in New York City. Even in Los Angeles where I live prices are never more than 24 USD per day. I know that parking is expensive in Prague, especially in the center. Nevertheless, you must figure out a way of providing parking for a more reasonable cost. Otherwise I cannot recommend your hotel to anyone who needs to park a car. If you have suggestions to potential guests about how to park for less, that information should be on your web site.

Hotel très bien situé. Chambre très grande (une des rares). Manque la climatisation. La salle de bain, spacieuse, n'est pas très pratique : manque d'étagère pour mettre les affaires. Petrit déjeuners satisfaisants. Personnel peu présent.

Our room was very hot and as the air conditioning wasn't working, we were offered a fan which never arrived! Despite the reception staff saying that there would be one the next day. Luckily, after accepting this for two days, we asked the room service assistants and they found us one straight away! Also, we asked the hotel to arrange us transport from the airport as advertised and it didn't arrive. On our arrival at the hotel there was no apology for the "mistake". Having asked them to arrange the same for our return journey, alas the very same thing happened! Both times they blamed the limousine company so maybe they should think about a change.

The hotel location could not be any better. It's 100m from the Old Town Square and the surroundings are beautiful. Rooms were really spacious and great. Especially the double room in the top floor with the entrance through the inner balcony. A really good hotel experience overall. The only negative thing was getting stuck in the smaller elevator because some South-European woman could not wait and stuffed herself in even though the elevator was for 4 people. But that, of course, was not the hotel's fault...

we were quoted €99 euros per night and ended up paying €115 with a hefty exchange rate as well into crowns. If possible I would like someone to get back to me on this €30 euros more is rather a lot in the Czech R. The hotel was well positioned and welcoming, the food was nice and generally i feel the hotel had a high standard but the rip off ruined all this.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The position could not be any better and considering where the hotel was it was very good value for money. We only had a sky light in the room but we were told by friends that there were no decent views available anyway. This was not a concern as we weren't intending to spend much time looking out of the window! The hotel bar closed at 10pm which was disappointing but there were plenty of bars nearby for a nightcap!

Great breakfast. Right in the middle of old town, just a block from the clock tower. The location could not have been more ideal. Felt guilty that we landed such a good rate, because the hotel is really beutiful.

Ok hotel, 30 seconds from the Old Square. Can't see why they have four stars, but...

Excellent position in the historical city canter. The room was very large but with few accessories (no big mirror, small wardrobe, no clotheshorse) and enough clean. The breakfast was not excellent in quality but good in quantity. The global opinion is strongly positive.

Location is the BEST. Only 20 steps brought me famous Old Town Square and it only took 5 minutes to go to Charles Bridges and Jewish division. And, it took around 20 minutes to Prague castle on foot... But serious problem caused from its staffs. I never met such unkind hotel staffs before (though I traveld more than 4-5 times in a year). They didn't provide room facilities, and they didn't give me check-bill back without any proper reasons. Kinda feel like something smelly. Maybe it's only one staff, I guess. Anyway if you're Okay with not smiling staff while looking for the best spot, this hotel would be best choice for you.
