Only 6 points on "Services and facilities offered" because the shuttle bus from the airport did not arrive, and only 3 points on "Competence of employees" and "Quality of service provided" because we did not get any reasonable explanation for why the shuttle bus did not arrive - and in addition; some of the reseptionists were not very service-minded ...

The hotel was very nice in a good location within easy walking distance to charles bridge and just opposite the venicular railway base. There is also a tourist information centre very close. Slightly let down by the double room consisting of two single beds pushed together but otherwise was very good.

We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to others. Staff were friendly, the room was both warm and spacious - overall cleanliness was excellent. The breakfast each day was very good and more than adequate. The hotel was centrally located near the river and about 10 minutes walk from the old town. Everything was reachable on foot and, if you wanted to use the excellent tram system, there was a stop right outside the door. We used the Prague airport shuttle service (search on google) who provided an efficient and not exorbitant trip to and from the airport using English speaking (expat) drivers who were informative.

Great place, one of the nicest hotels I stayed at in my 7-country trip. Nice location near castle, and it had the best shower I have ever used! The lobby/bar area was very nice as well. One drawback was the thin walls, but it wasn't an issue for me personally...if the neighbors had been active at night though it would have kept me awake...that's pretty common everywhere though.

We stayed at Hotel Roma for 3 nights and found it to be an exellent hotel. Buffet breakfast was something to look forward to and provided a lot of variety. The hotel is located in the heart of Prague and it was easy to walk to the many surrounding attractions such as Prague castle (a must see), Charles bridge, Powder tower, Astronomical clock and Old town hall. There is a tour office right next to the hotel and I highly recomend the day trip to Konopiste and Karlstejn Castles (45km out of Prague). We used public transport to get from the airport to the Hotel which was extremely easy, just ask for maps and transport advice at the info counter at the aiport. The public transport system is fantastic and so much cheaper than a taxi!

Loved the city, love the hotel. The only problem was finding it from the south train station by tram. We were warned about the taxi drivers so took the tram. Problem is if you have never been, there is more than one stop, and accurate specific instructions on the web site from both train stations would be helpful. The hotel itself is marvellous as is Prague. In walking distance to lots of sites, right next to tram which is easy to use once you figure it out. Excellent breakfast, quiet room - we did not notice the sound from the floors noted by others. Curtain on bathroom window is transparent and we faced a residence ..so not sure why its so thin. No shower curtain so a little tricky to shower without getting floor wet, sure there is some European trick to this. Mini bar is good. Bar downstairs had good deals. Internet good. great restaurants in area. Set taxi price to airport and train stations on leaving if you want the service, and it was very good. Overall wonderful

For the price I paid (1986 CK or 67 euro per night) this was excellent value. The breakfast was good the room very comfortable and the location excellent (no. 22 tram to castle and new town and no. 9 tram to old town). At this price, I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a convenient comfortable location in Prague. They even have free wireless broadband in the lobby.

Although the pictures on the internet were accurate, the hotel is actually prettier than the pictures implied. Price of stay includes breakfast, which was very good with an excellant selection. I had a superior room facing Ujezd Street. Although the tram passed throughout the night, the double-paned windows kept noise to a minimum. The hotel is a ways from Old/New Town but with the tram right out front, the distance was a minor inconvenience. I would definitely stay at the Roma again and would recommend it to anyone interested.

Our only criticism of the hotel is the lobby needs to, somehow, refresh its fresh air supply. The acrid cigarette smoke is too much -- and I grew up with chain smokers! The breakfast was very serviceable and the rooms were spacious and comfortable, albeit very basic. A decent value for dollar with easy access to everything!

We and our adult daughter had a lovely two-level, two bathroom room. Location is ideal: short walk to Charles Bridge, across street funicular to Prague Castle and tram line. It was perfect. Our only complaint is lack of in-room wireless access. Staff had excellent English; very helpful.

A good hotel. I spent two nights and found the hotel to be overall of high price quality ratio. The location is good although not next to the Metro station but just opposite the tram station and furncular station. The neighbourhood is quiet and that is the plus. THe river, charles bridge and the castle are all within walking distance although thereis a every 5 minutes tramway to each of these spots. The room I stayed was under the roof, with AC and overlooking the community. I'd like to stay there again if in Prague.

Excellent hotel situated in the city centre. You can reach any point of interest by walk or using the tram (Tram stop in front of the hotel). Employees very useful and room was clean. Breakfast is good. Not satisfied: - our room (4th floor) was a bit small; - only 2 hangars for clothes; - bed not so confortable: even though I asked for 1 single king-size bed, we found 2 separated beds; - changing money in the hotel is not very cheap.

Overall a very enjoyable stay, with very pleasant and helpful staff. Our only slight complaint would have been that the "twin beds" in our room turned out to be twin beds with a double mattress, and as we were a party of friends not couples that was not ideal - but we managed!

The hotel is lovely our room was spacious and very clean. It was on the front of the hotel however so there was some noise from passing trams. I requested a room with 3 single beds but upon arrival we were given a room with a double and a single it was quickly changed though. The Roma is well placed in a quite area of town about 10 mins walk from Charles Bridge. The area was pleasant with some good restaurants - I would particularly recommend Vinarna Zlaty Had (web address www.zlatyhad.cz) I would stay here again and I recommned it.

Hotel is in a decent location near the Charles Bridge but it is in a quieter area of Mala Strana. Walls are very thin, and the floors are all tile everywhere so from the rooms, you could hear everything going on in the hallway and people rolling their luggage. The rooms were pretty sparse, and I wouldn't categorize this as a 4 star hotel. We had a triple that was one big room with a fairly large bathroom. Walking past the double rooms when the staff was cleaning, these rooms are small. The staff was not very helpful when we asked them about basic charges such as international calls. The underground parking garage had very large spaces and was secure.

Very enjoyable and comfortable stay. Room was spacious and on two floors with a bathroom on each floor. Reception staff were very helpful indeed and also had a pleasant attitude. The onlymajor drawback was that the cleaning of our room left much to be desired and also the violin player who insisted on practising all day (although the music was actually quite pleasant and he/she was very good!).

Excellent hotel conveniently situated, easily reached from airport by public transport at cost of 50pence. ( 119 bus from airport changing to tram no 20 and dropped at door). Nice area 10 mins walk from Charles Bridge. Immaculate hotel with decent breakfast. Good facilities, pleasant helpful staff. You could do a lot worse than stop here.

The hotel was very nice. We spent 5 nights at Roma, and would stay at Roma again with no second toughts, also recommend it to friends/family going to Prague. Our room was situated in the back away from traffic, didnt hear traffic. From and to the airport we used shuttle service, about 17 Euro each way - about 30min drive depending on traffic. Close by there are supermarkeds, where one can buy food and drinks to have in the room/during walking. The breakfast was excellent, it had everything. In under 5min with easy walking, one is at Charles Bridge, and Old Town Square in under 15min. It's also close to the tram wich will take you up the Petrin Hill. Recommended, nice rose gardens and lovely birdsperpectiv-view over the sentrum of Prague. In lobby there is 2 pcs with free access internett for visitors of Roma. If you're not scared of the price, this is a high-quality hotel situated very sentral-near. Will also recommend a restaurant, Kogo and their vine "Vranac". Hope you find this helpfull, and hope you get just as lovely stay at Roma as we did.

The hotel offers a good standard of accommodation, at a reasonable price and is ideally placed in relation to the best places to visit. It is a 15 to 20 min stroll into the old town and is on a tram route if walking is not an option. The only downside was that all rooms are smoking and is seenmed that most guests at the hotel did smoke. Not pleasant for us non-smokers.

Hello, the rating 8 in the row 'Services and facilities offered' means: I've sit down by the PC in the public room, but I could not view my emails, only one website was reachable and there was no hint on the table how can I get more (against money or some other way) Generally it was very nice! Found this hotel very easy to get to from the airport, by using the 119 bus from the airport to the Metro at Dejvicka, taking the Metro to Malostranska and then taking a tram (numbers 12,20,22 or 23) to Ujezd stop. The tram stop is right outside hotel Roma. Suggest a travel ticket is purchased at the airport which allows you umlimited travel by bus, tram or Metro for the length of your stay/ticket. Hotel Roma was clean and the staff were very helpful and professional. The breakfast provided plenty of choice - fruits, juices, breads, cereals, bacon and eggs, ham and cheese etc. Rooms and public areas were clean. Tourist information office to the front of the hotel. Overall, a very good location and would stay at Hotel Roma again.

The location of the hotel is the best for a walking tourist. It's in the middle of different areas and walking routes. I and my wife never needed to use TRAM or METRO, except when coming from the airport... (we took 119 bus to the metro line A; and took the metro with the same ticket; got off the METRO at MUSTEK and walked to the Most Legil bridge you can take TRAM if you want - to Ujezd station : it's in front of the hotel room) A very big room and bathroom, 55cm TV, fair prices in the refrigrator... and clean sheets... And in the morning, a perfect breakfast in a big saloon... What else can you demand... When leaving the hotel, the CZK - EUR exchange rate was fair, thanks again.. (This "commission rate" will be your first issue in Praha) I want to go to Praha again (2-nights holiday was not enough for us...) and i will definetely choose this hotel again.

This was the first time we stayed at Hotel Roma and it was in a great location just a short stroll across a bridge to old town prague. The hotel only had one down fall and that was the floors. The total floor area was tiled, which meant that you could hear everything from the floor above you. For example the moving of chairs, wheeling of suitcases and wearing of stilletoes. At one point somebody above us had dropped what sounded like a bag of marbels. So therefore it was a little noisy.

Hotel Roma is in a great location opposite the funicular railway and Petrin Hill. There are some good restaurants around the hotel too. On the ground floor there is a large tourist information office which was very useful for planning the day ahead. The hotel provides free internet in reception and printing too. Breakfast was good and the decor of the hotel was bright, modern and clean. The only negative comments I would make is firstly to the poor variety of English language programmes on the satellite in room TV system. CNN news was the only offering. This was poor especially if traveling with children.Secondly the service at the hotel bar was not very good and drink prices were high in my opinion. Thirdly our room overlooked the 'courtyard' and was quiet, but we could sometimes hear water running from adjacent rooms shower and toilet flushes, this was quite loud in the morning. Overall Hotel Roma was a good choice of hotel and I would consider staying in this hotel again.

The hotel was a pleasant surprise over all; the comfortable lounge downstairs was enjoyable as were our rooms. A nice surprise is a small courtyard where you can eat breakfast outside. However, I arrived in a heat wave, there is no air conditioning and on asking the staff for a fan I was (not) aided by an icy 20 something year old who was less than obliging. Speaking with staff in the morning we found out that there are only 20 some fans for the entire hotel. Also on leaving I was directed to take a trolley that was not running to get to the train station. Overall the hotel was a good experience. It's location is perfectly situated, on a quieter block, below a large beautiful park, in Mala Strana. A short walk (uphill) from the Prague Castle and environs (maybe 2-3 city blocks), and a trolley stops right in front of the hotel to bring you across to old town, new town, and Jewish quarter (not that the entirety of Prague could not be, fairly easily, walked as it is a stunning and compact city.) It is possible to sign up for guided tours from the hotel, including boat tours, a trip to some of the more distant castles, and terezinstad. The location of ROMA is perfect for anyone visiting Prague, on the quite side with easy access to old town,-although there are few amenities for children. Attached to Roma is a visitor information center which we made use of, purchasing concert tickets, phone cards and the individuals there were very helpful and had access to many of the cities other events. There are also two computers in the lobby providing free internet access, prepare for a wait at normal rush hours. - we did wind up changing rooms due to a broken fridge-the staff readily aided in taking care of refrigerated medication. Both rooms (the second one smaller) were fairly spacious, the first, a regular double had two beds, both comfortable with big fluffy comforters.
