Very noisy street, luckily I got a triple room on the ground floor from the backyard. Despite the trash bins it was quieter. But this is far from a 4-star hotel! I would give it a strong 2 stars.

Very convenient hotel, close to the centre, with exceptionally big rooms (double room could easily accomodate a bid family with children). Very clean, nice friendly staff. Good price-quality relation. Was positively surprised!

It was very pleasant and nice. Good location, very educated and helpful staff. I would fully recommend it to others. The room was very spacious. Just if you are not a smoker specify it in the booking as smooking rooms are stinky.

Hotel acceptable, regarding location, rooms and price. The main probles is the absolute and total lack of service attitude from their personnel, mainly people attending at the front desk (completely incompetent- or lack of attitude??). Improving their personnel could be a very good hotel.

This is not a review for the Hotel Residence Praga 1 but for the Hotel Caesar's Palace (Myslikova15, Praha 1). They change us to this hotel due to some building renovation for the exact same price which of course was great !

On arrival we were informed that there was an overbooking and we would be check-in in another hotel, a 4 star Ceasar Palace. Only 5 min walking from Praga 1. My opinion has been made based on Ceasar Palace Hotel, which where I stayed but based on the surrounding areas, restaurants, public transportation, close to city centre, I'm sure is the most you can get for the price you're paying. I'd recommend both, although Praga 1 is a 3 star hotel and Ceasar is a 4 star.

Hotel easy to reach via public transport (via Bus 119 and the subway), which was relatively quick and a lot cheaper than a taxi. Buy your ticket from the arrivals hall in the hotel for just 26Kc - a taxi costs about 600Kc.

Front desk staff was most helpful. (Perfect directions to Sparta Prague Hockey game!) Rooms spotless, bathrooms spotless. Location is within walking distance of anything you can imagine in the tourist area. There's a little cafe on the small street behind the hotel. I just saw it by accident and stopped in and had a top-ten delicious meal. I reccomend.

Perfect location for tourism! The room was clean, and well kept. Plenty of space to move and the price/quality ratio was excellent, even for Prague. Would recommend this to anybody who wants a nice hotel at a reasonable price well situated in the city centre. ************ Cet hotel est parfait pour faire du tourisme à Prague! Un super bon rapport qualité/prix. Chambre propre et spacieuse. Je conseille cet hotel à tout le monde qui veut de qualité mais qui n'y veut pas payer cher!

This hotel was OK, clean tidy and well looked after. It was within walking distance of all the major sights (but we do like walking!). It is about 25 minutes to Charles Bridge. The room was very noisy as there is a main road outside. We had to keep the windows closed and it was hot. We did ask for a room at the rear but there were none available. Would I stay here again? NO it is too noisy,I would find somewhere else off the main roads

The range and quality of the Breakfast was awful and there was no warm food offered. The majority of the hotel rooms are overlooking a very busy main road, which in the winter can be endured, but in the summer when one needs to open the window the traffic noise is a great intrusion. If you are planning on a summer stay then bear in mind that there is no air conditioned rooms on offer. The sheets were also not changed for the duration of our stay (3 nights). On the plus side the location of the hotel is very accessible to the old town square.

I refused to stay at this hotel. The bed looked like someone had been sitting on it and rolling around on it - not like it was nicely made. There were wires on a night table - they said someone had been doing work. It was not clean - the bed was not only not really made but the bed spread looked like it was very old and never washed. They showed me another room that was the same. Also the location is out of the way from Old Town and not even that close to Wenceslas Square - not an area I would want to stay in at all - actually seemed a bit sketchy. They moved me to thier other hotel - Hotel Roma (which is usually more) and it was great. They clearly can run a hotel but Praha Residence 1 isn't it. Spend more to not stay here if you must. After no sleep and a transatlantic flight I still didn't want to get in the bed. The staff also didn't seem that great until I said my money was going elsewhere. That said - the manager moved me quickly and the other hotel was in a much MUCH better location and was MUCH cleaner.

Nice place for young couple. Public transport is nearby. You can also reach the old town by a 15 minutes walking. Excellent service, we had a problem with our toilet that was fixed upon request. There's a lot of traffic in front of the hotel, we arrived by car, the room was on the back, it wasn't noisy and there was a good view of an ancient tower.

The room double room was more spacious than described and it was actually composed by two rooms. So it was like sleeping in a single room with the all privacy! I liked all very mucch! The breakfast was excelent. The unique defect was the missing of the garage (available at high prices at 10 minutes far from the hotel), so I suggest this hotel if you are not travelling by car. My rate is excelent

Thoroughly recommended hotel. very welcoming staff. very good breakfast buffet including cheeses, ham , fresh fruit and pastries. only complaint would be that its on a busy road. The room was fairly large, but the bathroom, especially the shower, was small. In a good part of town for the price---metro & tram were just 2 blocks away. a couple decent small resturants nearby. Breakfast was good, although the coffee wasn't great. The only problem was that it was very hot in Prague when I was there, and although the hotel provided a fan, you had to keep the window open, so it was noisy. Also, the walls were a bit thin.

If coming back to Prague would certainly book this again. Friendly and efficient staff, an easy stroll (about 15 mins)to the Old Town Square/Charles Bridge/Wenceslas Square, 5 mins walk to the tram stop (17,18,22). All in all recommended.

Buonissimo giudizio
