Hotel Residence Green Lobster - Prague

Loved the location. True, it's an uphill walk but if you are in reasonable shape, it's no problem. Easy walk to the castle, the monastery, the little quarter, Charles bridge and the old quarter. Picturesque street, room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. Only negatives were the awkward layout which required moving a bedside table to open the armoir door, and a bad smell from the courtyard which made opening the windows out of the question. Lucky for us the room was cool and not stuffy at all, even in the first week of August.

Check in staff was rude, and maids were non-existent, but location, charm, & comfort made it okay as I didn't need the staff once I got in.

Absolutely first rate in all respects. Rooms were superb, staff welcoming, breakfast excellent. When going back to Prague we wouldn't go anywhere else.

Absolutely excellent. Very pleasant and helpful staff, beautiful room and very good breakfast. Lovely location (though a 5-7 minute walk uphill from the nearest tram stop).

A great place to stay in Prague. The rooms are all unique and very charming. I would recommend The Green Lobster to everyone who wants a special stay in Prague.

Located just below Prague Castle and 5 minute walk from Charles Bridge. Rooms are very spacious. Hot water was a bit sporadic and room was quite cold.

Breakfast was served downstairs in a cellar room and not as described in the cafe! Otherwise a nice & cosy residence, perfectly located for sight seeing, appropriately priced but not a bargain.

Courteous, helpful staff. Room was spotless.

The room was spacious and lovely. The breakfast offered something for every taste with the quality matching anything found elsewhere in the city.The reception staff was very pleasant,courteous, and helpful.There were numerous restaurants and small shops in the vicinity. It was in a wonderful area of town where the crowds were not thick as they are across the bridge.

We were delighted with our one night stay: the reception staff were helpful and welcoming and we had a superb four poster bed in a huge room/suite with a view over the pretty street and historic buildings. Highly recommended for those who like quaint olde-worlde charm in a romantic building. We were there in July, when the weather was scorching hot but the room remained at a comfortable temperature, whether because of the aircon or the thick stone walls. The breakfast was varied and plentiful, with a choice of muesli, fresh fruit, bacon & eggs, choice of breads, cheese and cold meats etc. It was a pity that we stayed on this occasion for one night only, but we will definitely go back to the Green Lobster as we intend to visit the beautiful city of Prague again. We will also recommend this hotel to our friends and family, as the location is so close to the castle and within easy walking distance of the other sights of Prague.

The green lobster's location is good, with plenty of places to eat and only a short walk to everywhere you would want to go. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and the breakfast was good.

Great location for a great Hotel, close to Prague centre, walking distance. good breakfast, except for one thing: it was impossible to have hot milk. such a shame...

Fantastic location, very handy for all of the sights but away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist areas. The Green Lobster was very clean with helpful staff, our room was big enough for a family of four, the only drawback was that the "double" bed was two singles pushed together. I think that anybody would be enjoy their stay here but elderly holiday makers might find the hill leading up to the hotel a little steep.

We celebrated an anniversary and returned to Prague after 35 years. An excellent hotel, we had a room at the third floor with the view of street. The hotel is located within 10 minutes walk from the Prague castle and about the same distance to the Charles Bridge. The reception personnel were very helpful and friendly. The only problem is the parking which is quite far; a good 20-30 minutes walk mostly climbing. Also the breakfast was not that great but we're not complaining.

The hotel Green lobster was very nice, once we were actually able to secure the room we booked. On arrival we were told that they were over booked even though I had recieved confirmation of my booking. I had to argue for 15 minutes at reception as they planned to send us to another hotel in a completely different area of town. Finally they found room for us in the Green Lobster- beware!

The relationship between price and quality was excellent. was all better than we expected. We. only have breakfast that is the only thing not so good. the location of the hotel is perfect.

Excellent hotel from all points of view

We had a "double executive" suite in the main building and a single room in the building across the street. The only negative at all is the main building is a 3 story walk-up-no elevator. The companion building across the street does have an elevator. small matter in any case. this is a fine place to stay in Prague. Prague on the other hand, has way too many tourists. No description of the crowds will do them justice.

What a gem! The room was absoluetly beautiful, regal and plush. The hotel is located on the (large) hill next to the castle, near many shops and restaurants and just a short walk from Charles Bridge. The breakfast room is located in the cafe next door, which served a nice breakfast. For those requiring disabled access, there are no lifts and rooms are up a number of stairs. The hotel also offers a taxi service for approx 600 prague korunas, which we thought expensive for the 15 minutes it took to get to the airport. Otherwise, would definately stay again.
