Apollon Hotel is nice, clean, NEW and beautiful. Very quiet at night for a good sleep. Located in a residential area and just accross the street from the tram stop, It is a convenient and safe place to stay. We went there by car and it was totally safe to leave it outside in the parking areas. There is some free parking just 1 Km away during day time and free after 8pm just in front of the hotel. Breakfast is comforting and the atmosphere is relaxing.

I spent 10 days in Prague. My Hotel Apollon is a wonderful hotel, breakfast was very various and rich, receptionists are very competent. The only defect is that it's a little far from the centre (the hotel is in the district Prague3). Luckely near hotel there is a tram stop and with tram is possible to arrive fast to the centre.

The main compromise you'll have to accept with Hotel Apollon is distance from the tourist attractions. In return, you get a modern hotel with AC, decent breakfast, original design etc. at low cost. The hotel is within sight of a tram stop for lines 1 and 9 (~100m), though not near the metro. Tram 1 will take you to the Palmovka station (nearest metro), from which point you can get anywhere in the city. All in all, expect a 15-30 minute trip twice a day (from the hotel and back). The hotel's surroundings are safe and rather quiet, especially if you get a room at the back of the building (where there's a little park). Try getting a balcony. We stayed in a double room, which felt large, was cleaned well and had seemingly new furniture -- including a desk and a chair, but no minibar fridge. The bathroom was likewise clean and well-accessorized. We did have an air-conditioner, but the staff couldn't find a remote for us to operate it during the entire(!) stay. The TV, on the other hand, was a nice LCD with some international stations (CNN, Eurosport and such). The breakfast room is well-designed and clean. The food consisted of mainly cold dishes and is ample. Sadly, the menu is exactly the same every morning. WiFi access is for a fee (though they might give you free access if you ask). The only hotspot is in the lobby (maybe you'll get some reception on proximate floors if you're lucky). Lastly, the receptionists all spoke good English (and most, also Russian). While not going out of their way to assist, they were courteous and ultimately helpful. We'd recommend this hotel if you want to get a good modern bed-and-breakfast for a low price and don't mind the distance, hence mostly to energetic people who spend most time outside of the hotel.

This hotel is NOT where it shows on the map and is much further out of town!!! The tram ride is 13 minutes to the outskirts of the old town (plus waiting time for the tram.) It is even longer to most of the main sights, and is not really walking distance. It took my friend and I almost an hour to walk to the center. The tram is located very close to the hotel and the number 9 tram comes frequently. The hotel itself is very nice, very clean, spacious and the breakfast was good, though the staff seemed aloof and more interested in talking to their friends on the phone, they did address all of our needs. It is a good value for the money, if you are looking for a nicer hotel and don't mind a 15 to 20 minute tram trip each way. I prefer a better location and wouldn't stay there again. If you do stay, make sure you get a room away from the stairs. The doors and walls are thin and keep out very little sound, so we were woken up at 2am when all the drunk kids came in (that was, however, the only problem we had with noise.)

The rooms were nice and clean. It's easy to reach the historycal centre and the castle of Prague by tram. The location of the hotel is not the same as it is shown on the map. (Use a proper Prague map.) Parking by car in front of the hotel on the weekend was free of charge. Good value for the price.

Stayed in a single room on the 4th floor facing the back with trees. It was quiet and pretty spacious. Pretty easy to get to city centre with the trams (well provided info at the hotel). There's a night tram (#54 or was it #58) that runs through major part of town and to Vapenka stop (near the hotel) for those who stay out late. Very convenient. WiFi is only available for those in 1st and 2nd Floor. It would be great to make it clear on the webpage (wasn't very clear when I last checked), on the tram station (Vapenka)to get off at to get to the Hotel.

First impact...bad. The pink/white wall of the tiny reception, dirty marbles on the floor, holes in the carpets, elevator without protection doors, our bathroom without cold water in the washbasin...I was very disappointed...but I paid 15euros/night..what did I expect? The days after I appreciated how was easy to reach city centre with the tram from there and the abundant breakfast included in the price of the room.
