OUTSTANDING ROOM!! Very big and clean. The shower is absolutely AWESOME. WiFi is SUPER Fast. Much better than any hotel I have stayed in for €43. The hotels in Italy cannot compare. The only down side is that the hotel is fairly far from the Prague city center and attractions that you want to see and trains. However I HIGHLY recommend this hotel for the price and quality.

My wife and I booked a three-night stay in Prague at quite short notice. The booking process was quick and painless. We were very impressed with the Galileo, where our double room was in the new extension of the hotel and extremely clean and spacious, although an easy chair would have been a nice addition to the large and comfortable bed. Staff were very helpful and both receptionists we met spoke very good English. Hotel breakfast (on an upper floor with plenty of natural light) was appetising and there was plenty of choice. The hotel is in a pleasant neighbourhood, although we had to keep our window closed at night and rely on the very quiet fan to keep cool for sleep as the room faced out on to a busy street. Slight niggles: the hotel had to send a second car to pick us up at the airport, which meant a longish wait on our arrival; the teabags we used were not replaced; the hotel does not supply much information upfront, e.g. about how to use the internet; car to the airport for return journey is not complementary (this is fine, given the reasonable price of stay, but is not made clear on website). The hotel is very well situated for all main attractions and we did a lot of walking. Public transport is very close but be warned that the nearest tobacconist does not supply tickets for public transport – obviously not the hotel's fault! Excellent value for money and thoroughly recommended.

In addition to the original wing is a new wing. I stayed with my girlfriend in the new wing and our room was superb and large. Breakfast is served on the 5th floor in nice airey surroundings. Being only 15minutes walk from Wenceslav Square I would certainly stay here again. The staff were also friendly and helpful.

Not quite 4* hotel but perfectly OK A little too far from the Old Town to walk every day. Hop on 22 tram to Mala Strana, instead.

We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Galileo. We had booked and paid for a standard double room but since we were staying for 9 nights we got to stay in an appartment, twice the size of a double room. The cleanliness of the room was outstanding, the room was sweeped every day and towels was changed every day. They changed our bed linnen several times during our stay. Being the young "Rock N Roll/Grunge"-couple you get used to not feeling welcome in fancy places, but not once did we feel that we were treated different by the friendly staff at Hotel Galileo. They seemed very concerned about our well being. Breakfast was awsome.

Excellent hotel. Nicely located, literally a 10 min walk from Wenceslas (sp) square. The male employee was really nice and helpful. SOme of the women were unhelpful but this would not put me off returning as the room was fantastic as was the location and the breakfast.

The Galileo is a great hotel, modern facilties but retaining some character. The location is excellent with ip pavlova metro station just round the corner and a lot of the sites only 15-25 minutes walk away (and Prague is worth exploring on foot). The buffet breakfast is excellent and you can pilfer fruit etc to fuel your walks. There is a good vegetarian curry place on the way to the metro and just across from that (if I remember correctly) is a great restaurant/pub place with English menues and friendly staff - the duck there was amazing. Prague is a great city to eat out - the food is rich, filling and cheap (although vegetarians do have limited options). For kids Prague zoo is a must, although us adults loved it too.

The hotel is in nice and quite surroundings, only 10 minutes walk to Wencelas Square. The hotel has been renovated recently, and have a modern and good standard. Next to the hotel there are several restaurants, I recommand to try U Webru.

We stayed in Prague for 2 nights and found the hotel to be lovely but a little too far away from the main attractions. There are a few restaurants and cafes surrounding it and we recommend the one next to it, on the left as you walk out. We had a Superior room, which was worth it for the extra space but no tea / coffee making facilities in room. Breakfast was okay but the coffee machine was awful!! Overall, great value but only for the more determined tourists amongst us. TOP TIP: Ladies - don't go to prague wearing heels! Its comfortable shoes or walking boots.
