Hotel Elite - Prague

The room booked was to include air-conditioning. However, it didn't work in the first room we were put in. The unit did blow air out but it was the same temperature of the room itself. i.e. it was not cooling the room. After a complaint the staff came to the room and tried to tell us the unit was working. Having experienced air-con in many other hotels in a number of other countries we know he was wrong. The following day, after our 4th complaint, we insisted on being moved to a room with working air-con. The air-con in this room worked for approximately 28 hours before failing in a similar way to the previous one. We later heard many other guests had the same complaint. All-in-all I think it is wrong for a hotel to advertise and accept payment for rooms with air-con when so many of them don't work. This, along with the indifferent attitude of some of the staff (who clearly just want us to stop complaining and leave them alone rather than trying to take the complaints seriously), would prevent me from recommending this hotel.

Old quaint hotel in great position and helpful staff. Would stay there again.

Hotel bar was very expensive. Beer was 3 times more expensive than you could buy it for. This discourages customers from spending more time in the lounge and beautiful courtyard. Could be an opportunity to increase sales if you reduced prices.

Fantastic location close to Tesco, metro and tram hub. Close to walk to anywhere in city centre.

The hotel was moderately sized and both attractive and interesting in general appearance. Location excellent, in a narrow street just out of the Old Town. Staff very pleasant and room fine. The only aspect of the hotel which I would fault were its breakfasts. The breakfast room was poorly organized and over-crowded while the food provided, though plentiful, was of poor quality, e. g. breakfast cereals, bread and coffee.

I had a room looking onto the street and could here people on the streets later at night. Wifi was difficult to connect to from my room although could get it in other locations within the hotel.
