Hotel Constans - Prague

I stay in Prague for tourism and I staid in a double room with my wife. The bed was too soft and very thin mattress

Just returned from very nice vacation. Prague as well as the hotel Contans were beyond our expectations. The hotel well furnished and newly decorated is located in a nice, quiet and secure area, 10minutes walking from the Castle and 15m from Ponte Carlo, cafés and restaurants nearby, a beautiful park (up the hill) 5min. away.Warmly recommend it.

A quiet location, and convenient for visiting the various areas of Prague - the ideal combination. Good size room and bathroom. Comprehensive breakfast and the option of an evening meal. Good level of service and no problem with language barrier - all staff spoke good English. Overall, very good value and somewhere we would recommend.

The double was VERY spacy (would be 10 points!) but the single room was VERY small (max. 4 points). That's why you got 6 points for "spaciousness of rooms" alltogether. The rest was very good though, the location is excellent! Very nice!

Excellent location for a visit of Prague with incredibly spacious rooms. Very good quality price ratio for a room with breakfast included. I would certainly go there again and recommend it.

The hotel is excellent in almost every sense: size of the rooms; location; price. the only one thing i wish they would have is the internet station in the lobby, for the guests to use, in the same way as may other hotels in the area offer.

The first room I was put in was not pleasant; it was without personality, very low class. I asked to be moved to another room which they handled quickly and very satisfactorily. I wound up in a very nice room, more contemporary with a much better look and feel to it.

We stayed in Prague 4 days, marvellous city! The hotel is clean, the rooms big the breakfast excellent. The employees were not so opened to talk and to give information, anyway I would come back to this hotel! The only thing is that we arrived in Prague very late in the night and it wasn't so easy to find the hotel, ok, we didn't get a taxi but nobody could help us in finding the small and quite unknown street and the hotel's indications were not so clear (it's not so near to the metro..).

V nice hotel, quiet but central position. Massive room, no air con though.Nice bars and restaurants within walking distance. Castle very near, 15 mins walk to Charles Bridge.

L'Hotel è veramente Bello, in una zona comodissima per raggiungere le principali mete turistiche. La Camera meravigliosa, ampia, pulita e silenziosissima!! Unico Neo il prezzo indicato su Venere non corrisponde a quello fatto pagare in Hotel, Problema il cambio che per l'Hotel è fissato ad inizio anno e non segue l'andamento di mercato...casualmente sempre a nostro sfavore!! comunque CONSIGLIATISSIMO!!!

The Hotel Constans could be wonderful, but is marred by the disinterest of the staff and the lack of a comfortable and welcoming public rooms. I visited in the first week in December. The restaurant was not open and the public rooms only had hard seating. I didn't see the bar open the entire 5 days we were there. Also, the Winter Garden publicised in the brochure does not exist. The Hotel is in a good safe area within 5 mins walk of the castle. There are lots of restaurants and shops close by, but not intrusively so. The Hotel has been revamped to a very high standard, but it completely lacks character. The staff when we were there were all relatively new and didn't appear to be that confident. Prague is a beautiful, vibrant city and met all our expectations. Unfortunately the Hotel Constans didn't.

The hotel is very nice, enough in center to 500m bridge carlo, the breakfast is good, the rooms they are spacious, only problem you/they have given us a room with the twin beds to the place of the matrimonial one and in 4 days of stay they have not wanted to change the type of room, the employee of the reception has been rather unpleasant. They have so lost that that would have been a good evaluation

Hotel is extremely close to Prague castle, and a very short walk to Charles Bridge, great location! The only problem we had was when we wanted to stay an extra night, the price went up from 99 euro to 120 euro, for a thursday night! This was very annoying as we asked if it was possible to stay longer on our first night (of 3), and we were told it would be no problems and were not told it would be for a different rate. However we would still stay at Hotel Constans next time we are in Prague, we would just make sure we had a full quote before booking.

I asked for an early wake up call to get on time my train to Vienna (I had a pre-paid ticket with fixed hour). The hotel forgot to wake me up. The taxi of the hotel is expensive (if you ask for a taxi, they offer only the hotel taxi), the driver is a young asthenic person who behaves like a top model and does not help with the luggage at all.

Charming hotel, excellent location, friendly staff, spacious rooms.

We had one problem! When we came back to the hotel after our evening/night out, there was noone in the reception!! Although my last question before we went out was : do we need a key? But the receptionist answered me that the hotel had 24h service so that a key was not needed! So there we stod in the middle of the night (02.30h) and couldn´t come inside!! After aprox 45 min someone heard us. I was furious! You could at least expect some kind of compensation...It was a terrible end of a fantastic evening. But otherwise the rooms, breakfast and cleanliness where very good.

Although my wife and I are frequent (annual) international travellers, especially since my retirement, this was our first trip to Prague. We were therefore especially anxious about finding a suitable hotel, particularly in view of their typical charges that were higher than we usually pay. We were very pleased to have settled on the Constans, due to its location relative to the sites to be seen, fronting onto a very quiet narrow street, and because of its reasonable charge compared to most other comparable hotels. The employees were also exceptional, beginning with the young man who checked us in, having had a New York American accent due to having lived there for 3 years. Starting each day a full breakfast was provided in a very plesent setting beneath a glass skylight. We hope to one day return to Prague, and will defiinitely choose to stay at the Constans.

Eccellente Hotel, Stanza Enorme con terrazzino, presenza di un bollitore in camera per tisane o nescafè, colazione discreta, ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, a 5 minuti dal castello, molto silenzioso (zona ambasciate). Unico piccolo neo, non è proprio vicino alla metropolitana e anche con il trolley la passeggiata non è breve

St. Nicholas church and the bell tower are 1 minute from the hotel. American Embassy is on next street. It is worth walking up the bell tower and taking in the views. Also Good Irish pub just down the road. The rooms were huge with large bathrooms allowing a separate bath and shower area. Bathrooms also came with little cosmetics including a toothbrush, which is not common. We were very comfortable and would return to this hotel for sure, if we ever went back to Prague. Ideal for business travellers as well, due to close proximity to metro.

We arrived by train, exhausted, took the subway, then walked to the hotel. Upon arrival they said they were sorry, that they had overbooked. Fearing that we were stuck with no hotel, they then gave us the good news that they had upgraded us to their top floor suite/apartment. It was absolutely fabulous, with the biggest, nicest bathroom I have ever seen in 5 trips to Europe. They didn't charge any extra for the whole 5 nights we were there, and didn't make us move to a smaller room when they became available. Now that is service. I would stay there again, anytime. Loved loved loved Prague. The food is fabuous all throughout the city. Best shopping for antique jewelry, too!

Spent 3 wonderful days in beautiful Prague and stayed in Constans. Definetely recommend this hotel for staying. Spacious rooms, very frindly and highly qualified staff, good location.

This is based on the nonsmoking room we were moved to after finding the original room unacceptible. The beds were a bit strange (hard and probably had plastic sheets under the normal ones) Also the lack of wifi was a bit of a surprise; although they do offer wired internet in the rooms. Overall it was a very nice place in a great location. The staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfasts were quite good.

The hotel is great but don't let them book you a taxi to the airport - the cars are small, the prices are a rip off and the drivers "forget" their receipts. use a service like AAA instead

Map was not too clear - hotel very close to American embassy & short walk to Charles Bridge. Very comfortable, attractive, spacious room. Good breakfast w/variety, friendly staff, public areas & elevator are small but overall good value for money. Note: KB bank in the square gives far better xchange rate than moneychangers.

The Constans was a find; in the perfect location just below the castle it offers visitors a very quiet, pleasant stay. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the service was generally good. Breakfast was rather busy, with the result that the lone waitress seemed a little overwhelmed at times, but I would certainly stay at the Constans again.

I plan to make several more trips to Prague this year and I will always stay at Hotel Constans. It is in a perfect location, near the castle and the bridge, but off on a quiet side street. It is clean, beautiful, friendly, and had one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. This is the perfect Prague hotel.

Ein sehr schönes und kuscheliges Hotel. Die Zimmer sind wunderbar ausgestattet und schön groß. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam gewesen und hat sich rührend um die Belange der Gäste gesorgt. Lage: Perfekt! Ich kann das Hotel nur empfehlen :-)

THE HOTEL WAS WONDERFUL, WELL SUITIATED IN A QUITER PART OF THE CITY. ROOMS WERE SPACIOUS WITH PLENTY OF FACILLITIES. WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE

Lovely spacious room in a quiet hotel - no complaints. Breakfast is 7.30 to 10.30 which means no morning rush and despite some comments on this site - the breakfast is ok! 10-15 min walk into the old square and plenty of restauarants and bars locally - if you like the old fashioned english type pub don't miss the Black Ox - up to the castle then turn left toward the monastery - its about a quarter of a mile. Only three beers on tap available at around 40p per pint but the experience is not to be missed - go about 6pm when the locals drop in on their way home! Great stuff!

This was a find. Located in "Lesser Town" right in a quiet area with cobblestone streets under the Castle. 10 minute walk to the Charles Bridge. The hotel has a charm and warmth which impressed and the rooms were spacious. The staff all spoke English and arranged everything from transfers to tours at the front desk. Possibly the best hotel we stayed at in our 3 weeks in Europe. Price quoted included an excellent breakfast.

This an excellent hotel, right in the heart of Prague yet tucked away in a lovely side street. Surrounded by foreign embassies it is in a very nice (and quiet) area and just a few minutes from the Charles Bridge and Castle. The rooms are very clean and spacious (huge twin room with 4 windows) and there is an above average breakfast. For an excellent eating experience I would recommend 'Gitanes' very close by. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone and would definitely return.

FANTASTIC is how I would describe Constans. The suite we had was beautiful. The location perfect. The breakfasts were superb. Our stay was for a long weekend break in Prague. The hotel and Prague were everything I wanted it to be for myself and my partner. It was the best not to be missed :)
