Hotel Bishop's House - Prague
Drazickeho namesti 6/62 - Prague
877-662-6988The main hotel building was built in the 16th century and has empire facade from 1843. The guests can also choose accommodation in a tower of the former seat of the bishop, which was mentioned already in the 13th century.
The hotel strives for the continuous improvement of the quality of the accommodation it offers. Thus the majority of the rooms has recently gone through careful reconstruction in order to offer our guests charming and cosy environment. Elaborate combinations of colours, high quality products and a sophisticated choice of furniture contribute to the unique character of the hotel rooms.
Some rooms offer an enchanting view of the picturesque Malá Strana (Lesser Side), while others look over a silent little square. The top floor rooms boast with magnificent ceilings that bear witness to the long history of this house.
The pleasant atmosphere of the hotel patio invites our guests to relax in the summer months.

This is one of the most remarkably located hotels in which I have ever stayed. It is literally at the foot of the Charles Bridge. Wonderful!

The staff were so welcoming and helpful! The gentleman on duty when I checked out went out of his way to assist me with my journey to the train station. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast could be improved. Free internet on shared computer. Excellent location! I would stay here again.

This hotel is not reliable at all. When we arrived they pretend they had a problem with the water and sent us in another hotel without any interest in another area of Prague, not so central than the one we choosed. We did not get any compensation for that. Do not trust the reservation center even if they write you the day before your arrival for a confirmation. We gave all the information but were rejected at our arrival in due time.

Very pleasnt stay. our room was clean , comfortable and roomy. the location was perfect- quiet but close to attractions. the buffet breakfast was basic but adequate. staff were very helpful and reponsive. Note- do not pay more than 400 Czech crowns for a taxi ride from the railway station to the hotel, not all taxis are metered and we were taken for a ride- literally! we used the hotel car for our return journey. we would recommend this B&B hotel

I'm not sure it's possible to find a better place: 30 m from Charles Bridge, but very quiet because of the dead-end street, only 30-40 mn from the airport (bus 119 + metro line A), good breakfast, very clean... No air conditioning, though, so in the middle of the summer some may find it is missing.

This was the first time I stayed at The Bishop's House. It is a very comfortable hotel where guests are very well taken care of and is in a wonderful location. If I return to Prague, I would definitely stay there again and would highly recommend it to anyone I know if they vist Prague.

We traveled to Prague on our Honeymoon. The Bishops house was in a great location for all the tourist attractions and situated 2min walk from Charles Bridge. Overall, it's in a quiet part of the city with little/no noise from the street below. Plenty of restaurants near by also, but no real place to find a drink late at night - the bars seemed to be across the bridge. The room is fairly basic, but comfortable. We mentioned that we were on our honeymoon - but there was nothing special (other hotels went the extra mile). Only complaint about the room was that the price quoted in Euros on Venere is completely wrong due to the exchange rate used. We ended up paying 10euro more per night than what was quoted. Beware.

The Bishop's House is an excellent hotel and the location is as described - a few minutes walk to Charles Bridge. Very comfortable and lovely and warm aftering being out in the cold enjoying the atmosphere and sights of Prague. Rooms spacious, comfortable and this Hotel cannot be faulted. We are planning to return to Prague again next December and would not consider staying any where but at the Bishop's Hotel. All the staff spoke excellent English and were helpful in booking a concert and dinner on our behalf. Breakfast is continental but more than adequate. Fantastic hotel, great location, very comfortable, and have already recommended the Bishop's Hotel to friends.

The hotel has two buildings very close to each other. It seems that bishop I is better maintained then bishop II and also has most of the public facilities. The rooms are clean and quite spacious. The rooms have double windows and the srounding area is quiet, but somtimes you hear noise from the neighboring rooms, stairs ang hall. The location is great very close to charles bridge. The staff is wellcoming and helpfull.

The Bishop's house is a quiet comfortable small hotel just one minutes walk from Charles bridge on the Lessor town side. I was given a double room which had, as another reviewer said, traditional furniture but with a modern shower room. The hotel was clean throughout with friendly staff and being so close to (the crowded) Charles bridge is only a few minutes walk to the heart of the Old Town. As they say ; Watch for pickpockets though. I intend to return to Prague and stay again at this hotel next spring.

LOVED the location! Right next to the Charles Bridge and very close to some good cafes/restaurants. The one thing that really bothered me about the hotel was the tub/shower. The tub was great, if you take baths. BUT if you wanted to take a shower the shower head was right in the middle of the back wall (hitting me about the belly button - I'm 5'5") and there was no shower curtain so water would get everywhere if you weren't careful. Besides that the hotel was good and we had a great time enjoying Prague.

The Bishop's House proved to be a very good choice for our short stay in Prague. The hotel has a fantastic location, in a quiet square within a 30 second walk of Charles Bridge and lies only a short walk from a tram stop at Malostranske namesti or the Malostranke Metro station on Klarov. The room was quite small but very clean, quiet and warm. Breakfast was of the continental variety and more than reasonable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit Prague and would certainly stay here myself if we were to visit in the future.

The Bishop's House is situated in a peaceful location right next to the Carl's Bridge, all the attractions of the old city are in walking distance. There are lots of little restaurants in the surrounding and we enjoyed our stay very much. If you arrive per car be aware that the hotel is complicated to reach and that there is no hotel garage (as promised!) - but the staff arranged to park the car in a safe place (€ 20,-/24 hrs.). All in all - wonderful!

We stayed at the Bishops House as a adult family group and were very pleased with the choice. The accommodation was very good clean and quiet with very helpful staff good food and plenty of it with good choice from the buffet . The location was excellent right at the foot of Charles Bridge in a quiet little street but within reach of all the attractions in Prague. Would recommend to others. We stayed when it was 12 below zero outside but lovely and warm inside. Hotel arranged our taxi from airport for six people no problem very reasonable. Whitfield family.

Great location, helpful staff, rooms not over large but comfortable, clean and with all the facilities described. Breakfast good with plenty of choice, restaurant attached but not much used as slightly off the tourist run. beware when changing money in change booths - rate advertised is the sell rate NOT the buy rate, often a 20% difference - we used card or cash machine which is closer to the real rate

This hotel is in a good location at the edge of Charles Bridge, yet very quiet at night. I found the hotel room clean, spacious and well equipped. It provided good value for money. The staff were all friendly and eager to help with any queries. I have recommended this hotel to friends.

Ottima collocazione, a pochi metri dal ponte Carlo, eppure molto tranquilla perchè situata in una piazzetta appartata. Ottima l'accoglienza, con sistemazione immediata (su richiesta) dell'auto in garage convenzionato e grande disponibilità del personale.Ottime le stanze ariose e pulite. Ottimo il brekfast e buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Super consigliato.

Bishop House is clean, quiet and has a helpful and friendly staff. The spacious room was equipped with everything we needed. The modern bathroom was large with an excellent shower. The hotel is located right over the Charles Bridge and was convenient to everything we wanted to see. Would definitely recommend it.

Our room's window had no view and was next to a restaurant, so the first night we got cooking smells and kitchen noise. It had gone by bedtime though. The second day workmen started to work (very early) right outside our window on the next door building. We had to draw the curtains for privacy. We did not realise there are two hotels, Bishop's house 1 and 2 . No 2 has lighter decor and is directly across the street. We would have chosen it , if we had known there was a difference. It is not made clear.

The location of this hotel was wonderful! However, I was there over a abnormally warm weekend and my room was quite hot. I had a room on the ground floor and felt uncomfortable sleeping with the windows open and the fan they provided, did not do much! I also thought the price was way too much for what I received. I know I just paid for the location though. It was literally right off the Charles Bridge!

This is a nice small hotel situated in the best part of Prague, Mala Strana, very close to the Charles Bridge. The employees were very kind and helpful and the price is very reasonable, as compared to the other hotels around the area. We were very happy to have chosen it.
