Hotel Bílý lev - Prague

Nice place, nice rooms, very quite, close to the city center by bus

For the price the quality was really OK. The only really negative point was the smell of cigarets in the room, because smoking is permitted everywhere.

L'hotel è veramente una buona scelta a Praga. Non è molto centrale, ma con una buona camminata di 20 minuti ci si ritrova in centro; buona alternativa il tram che in solo 3 fermate porta in centro. Stanze non grandi ma complete; colazione che rasenta l'eccellenza. Nel complesso davvero un'ottima scelta!!!

When I arrived, the man at the reception said me that there was no reservation to my name... Hopefully there was one room available but he said that probably I will need to change of hotel for the two other nights. Finally I rested the 3 nights in the same room. The pipes for the water and for the heating are very noisy and I didn't sleep correctly. Bad address for me ! When I come back in France, I asked the woman at desk to call me a taxi. In fact she asked a friend of her with a normal car and the price was 100 KC more than a normal taxi !

Ho preso ripetutamente contatti con l'hotel via email e fax , per avere informazioni logistiche; non ho ricevuto risposta, e questo senz'altro ha complicato il nostro arrivo all'hotel: ci siamo mossi in modo autonomo con le informazioni che avevamo, e ci siam fatti 400m coi trolley attraversando anche zone in rifacimento e poco raccomandabili. In compenso la polizia passava spesso in auto, e l'hotel è attaccato ad una centrale. A parte questo, la permanenza è stata positiva: una delle signore della reception parlava anche italiano, tutti parlavano inglese, la stanza veniva rifatta tutti i giorni ed era pulite anche se un po' piccola. La colazione a buffet era di buona qualità, ma non permettevano di fare panini da portar via. Per arrivare nei pressi di Ponte Carlo basta prendere il bus 133 o il 205 (se non ricordo male), che passano lì vicino. Le corse di ritorno sono fino a mezzanotte, percui... problemi non ce ne sono nè per andare in centro, nè per tornare. A due fermate di bus c'è anche la metro, percui... tutto è a 2 passi.

Property was a fair way out of Prague but we did walk into the city most days. There was a problem with the price quoted to us and what the staff thought it shaould be, underpriced as far as I could work out. The area around the hotel although just down the road from a police station was rough and noisy

When I arrived the hotel had technical problems, they booked me in other hotel and paid the taxi for me.

The room was very big!!Also Good breakfast!!

Centrale, tranquillo, comodo, accogliente e con una gran colazione! Il tutto in relazione al prezzo conveniente! Lo consiglio e ci tornerei.

Es un hotel encantador con unos empleados encantadores que te hacen la estancia más agradable. La habitacion en la que estuvimos era pequeña pero muy acogedora y muy limpia. Más que un hotel impersonal, nos dio la sensación de una casa acogedora de hospedaje tipo familiar. La relación calidad-precio es muy buena. Lo unico malo es la cuesta que tienes que subir hasta llegar al tranvia que, en 10 minutos, te deja en el centro de Praga.

My wish to use the mastercard seemed to be too much for the woman at the reception. She asked me twice to sign and (hopefully-let´s wait for the account information) cancelled one of the transactions. My advice to future guests would be to have the exact sum in EURO ready at your arrival (also in order to avoid bad exchange rates). All in all the hotel is very clean, well furnitured rooms and a nice buffet-breakfast. I would stay there again.
