Just a two night stop over prior to going to Cadca. Not a bad hotel I would give it a thumbs up. It is a shame that the surrounding area is littered with graffitti. However, with a local shop down the road to buy a tram card and the stops just a short walk away from the hotel. Not a bad little hotel for those who want to go to Prague and be out of the main tourist trap hotels. If you drive to the hotel there are limited paking places in the basement.

I was travelling with my family of 4 staying in 2 rooms. The hotel was nice; however, the original rooms we stayed in were not air conditioned. There was street noise from a bar outside so we did not want the windows open either. This resulted in the room being too hot to sleep comfortably. We switched to air conditioned rooms which were very nice but also very expensive.

The service at this hotel was and incompetant and included a night manager shouting at me across a foyer that it wasn't his problem that the laundry didnt deliver and I was without formnal wear to attend a concert that night. The experience was appalling in attitude. The breakfast room is much to be desired. Additionally the room was not made properly nor was it clean. Upon pulling back a quilt cover I discovered tobacco littered throughout the bed. Unhelpful and arrogant staff, and not a clean hotel. The coffee cups were also not clean. I've stayed in 1 star pensions that were better.

The hotel room itself was pleasant and comfortable. The hotel itself was situated a bit farther away from the city center than I would have liked, but once you figure out the subway system, getting around was a breeze. (the cities tram system however still eludes explanation). The hotel staff were thoroughly un-interested in service or helping to navigate the tram system. You must pass through the bar to get to reception and the bar/lobby is VERY smoky from cigarettes.

I was there for 10 days. This was a return visit, because I had liked this place in the past. However, the hotel is overrun with Dutch and Italian teens, who make a racket at 2am. Esp if you are jetlagged, it is very annoying. Management does not seem to be able to do anything, altho they gave me a partial discount for one night only, when I complained that dorrs are being slammed and kids yell in the middle of the night. The price is probably too good for its own interest...

over all this hotel is good value. rooms to the front of the hotel are very noisy due to tram and street noise. Go for air conditioned room as it is impossible to sleep with window open.I had been travelling since 4.30am and I would have liked to book in at 12.00 pm. Booking in is at 2.00pm hence 3 hour wait in smoky lobby bar was very uncomfortable ,reception should be more flexible on this.Breakfast was good and hotel is within walking distance of old town also near tram stop. overall Prague is a nice break but beware of overcharging for coffee and check menu for cover charge to sit down particularly around back of castle.Beware of billboards inviting good value meals! There is a great italian resturant just down the street from hotel. Worst thing about hotel was smoking in the bar.

On the whole the hotel is quite good. It was rather difficult to find it, but still we managed. The room was cosy and spacious. It was a bit nosy because of the tram, but it didn't disturb much if you have a deep sleep. The bathroom is quite big, but not very clean. (I didn't like it). The breakfast was rather substantional. On the whole I liked stying at this hotel.

Nice hotel, walking access to all tourist areas including castle in 15 to 30 minutes. Trams from airport pass the front door. Excellent good value Italian restaurant next door if you want something different without walking.

Very clean. Staff very helpful. High-fives to the bar staff. Some super people there. I actually got a triple room, as they were out of singles...! Breakfast is pretty standard european hotel fare & will leave you full for a good part of the early afternoon. Getting downtown Prague is dead-easy, despite this hotel being outside of the centre. Hop on the #8 tram, right outside the hotel and you're there in 10 mins. I purchased a 3-day all incl transportation pass for 220 crowns. It's a short walk to the Bohemia Bagel, that has good food and free wi-fi. Also, I recommend taking the shuttle from the airport. It's about 400 each way and if you've an early flight it's worth it. Czech cabbies don't inspire confidence, so take the bus! Bottom line, this is a good hotel. Suprisingly affordable and clean. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The hotel is just across the river from the old town. A tram stop is just 50m away. The buffet breakfasts are more than adequate and the accommodation, while not lavish, is very comfortable and represents good value for money. We would not hesitate to stay there again if we visit Prague.

Great hotel with excellent facilities which seem better than its 3-star rating. Friendly staff, internet room with several terminals (cheap to use), superb buffet breakfast (hot and cold foods), great location with quick access by tram or on foot to central Prague. Easy and very cheap access to airport by public transport (no need for expensive taxis: bus No.119 from airport to terminus, then tram No.26 which runs right past hotel, 30 minutes total journey time). This was my second stay at the hotel, and will stay here again if I return to Prague. Highly recommended.

Good hotel for the price, my room was very spacious but noisy. It was warm and I had to open windows, and the Malady street was noisy, especially with Tram going through every 10-15 minutes. Neverthless, overall I was satisfied especially because Hotel was conveniently accessible to the old town square area by Tram and Metro a block away. In addition the breakfast was great and staff were helpfull.

There is a fabulous bakery just down the street that is worth stopping by. Also, the hotel is conveniently located 2 blocks from the tram into town.

The Belevedere was convenient to reach by tram from the train station and the old town, a real plus. The room was larger and nicer than I actually expected. The staff was helpful, if not overly strong in English, but no complaints. I was staying overnight to make a connection and was able to see a part of Prague close to old town but more real, an experience I valued. But I was also able to get quickly to old town and back.

I stayed one week in single room. At first, the room was face a tramway ! I asked to change the room, and the next one was wonderful. The staffs were friendly. Only thing regretable was that, in the receipt, mini bar (which I didn't used !) was included three times ! It's necessary to check before you pay !

I have a very pleasant stay. The staff is really very nice and competent. But I was unlucky with my neighbours, a group of young men who occupated several rooms around mine and who were very noisy late in night (or early in morning should I say)and didn't want to understand they weren't alone in the hotel !

a very good price to quality ratio. it's outside of the tourist zone, and the neighbourhood has a lot to offer if you care to investigate. staff is friendly and competent, rooms are small-ish but comfortable, breakfast is great, and the bar is a good place to chill before going out.

A very pleasant stay. The hotel was clean and comfortable and excellent value for money. The hotel is conveniently located, it is a pleasant walk into the centre of the city. It is also very well served by the tram network. There are some excellent and very reasonably priced restaurants nearby.

The hotel is a bargain for the money. The first staff members was not too courteous but the second crew was very good. The taxi the bellboy got to take us to the airport had no meter nor taxi sign on the car. It seemed as though he had a friend who tried to rip us off for more money ($20 for a 5-minute ride). Watch out for the connections between the hotels and the "taxis".

We asked for a double room and got a twin room - 2 single beds, the staff were very rude and very lazy (expected for european service) very unhelpful. minibar was empty and we didnt touch it. bathroom was very dirty. People were unhelpful and didnt speak english.

This is a great hotel and the restaurant is good. However, the people at the desk are quite competent and provide you with correct information but Prague can be confusing and the workers are not patient.

During my stay at the hotel I was seriously angry for a number of reasons, all due to the apparently rude and disinterested nature of the staff manning the reception in the evening. They just did not listen. They gave poor directions and on one particular occassion they had us on the wrong tram heading off into some murky suburb in -7 degrees. Not a great start I have to stay. There was also serious renovation going on during our stay whicha side from some additional noise requried us to re pack our bags and change rooms mid stay. Aside from this though the rooms were very nice indeed, well laid out, comfortable beds and really warm. The location of the hotel really is convient once you figure the trams out. The breakfast is really good. The bar is handy though the again I found the staff down right rude. I suppose the best I can say is that I would 'consider' staying again.

Although overall, the hotel and staff were very good, I would suggest that anyone planning to stay in mid December checks first that there is not a large party of students booked in at the same time. The last 3 nights of our stay were ruined by a party of 90 Italian students, who virtually ran riot until the early hours. Shouting in the corridors, banging loudly on doors, slamming doors constantly with no regard whatsoever for other paying guests. We eventually demanded to be moved to a quieter room, which only slightly improved things. There was mayhem in reception following a particularly noisy night, because there had been so many complaints. A group of students were loudly protesting their innocence, while one of their so called tutors shrugged her shoulders and said "I'm their tutor not their mother"! I think we should have at least received a discount as a good will gesture considering the level of disruption we had to endure, but unfortunately this did not happen and we ended our holiday with a bit of a sour taste in our mouths.

Nice hotel within walking distance from the historical center (~15min to old town and ~30 min to carl's bridge). Note that the location on the venere map is completely wrong! Check the correct location on www.supernavigator.cz - it's 2-3 km further east. Knowing the correct location, going there by car was quite simple. The hotel offers a safe parking in a small basement garage. The hotel offers 3* and 4* rooms. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a 4* room and this one was really nice, well equipped - and huge: 3 beds, bathtub, minibar, safe... (although I can't remember a coffee maker as described at venere) I would stay at Belvedere again. Considering the horrendous hotel prices in Prague you get good quality at reasonable price.
