The rooms are not too spacious. The staff was very friendly. There is no lift but I usually take the stairs. I would recommend this hotel to others.

The hotel is in a convenient location. The receptionist gave some very useful information about Prague and the weather when I arrived.

Myself and a friend stayed at Hotel Sofia for 3 nights. the rooms were small and the bathrooms were as well, but we really enjoyed our stay. Besides if you are on holiday how much time are you really in your room? The staff was very awesome and helpful. I believe it was Mareka who helped us find a train or bus from Prague to Nurnburg, Germany. She not only found a train for us, but also gave us directions as to where to find everything and purchase the tickets. Very helpful!!!! The location was about a 2 minute walk to the Namesti Miru Metro and tram station which was very convenient. For a single person or a group of two people Hotel Sofia is great.

There was an excellent Italian Restaurant nearby on the main square near the hotel that had a nice view of the church and greenspace. The rooms were fine but keep in mind that there are no elevators, and 4 floors, so beware of packing large and heavy suitcases.

Breakfast is very very good-various foods. But staff is very rude. We pay fee by Kc-not euro so they apply bad exchange rate. And when I check in, I wait 10mins because one teaches another. And staff face expression is not good. No elevator, so we climb 4 floors.

The hotel rooms were very quiet therefore we could sleep at night without the noise of cars considering Pragues is a very busy city.

I stayed at Ave-Sofia for Christmas holiday for 4 nights. The reception personnel were welcoming and could speak English. They served delicious breakfast. Though the bathroom was tiny,for the price (Euro 37 for a double room with private bath), you could not ask more. Since the transportation is so convenient that I didn't mind its location at all. I will consider this hotel definitely for my next visit.

Overall, I had a good stay and had a positive experience with the staff of the hotel. My one major complaint from my stay was the one night that I came back late due to spraining my ankle and a necessary hospital trip. The staffmember opened the door, only begrudgingly, and then wouldn't let my friend help me to my 5th floor room (no elevator) unless he paid to stay in the hotel. How was I supposed to get up the stairs?
