Excellent location, very nice ambiance if you aren´t to ambitious. But unfortunately no business hotel at all: breakfest not before 8.30 a.m. and no reception desk before 9/9.30 a.m., wich makes it very difficult to make appointments in the morning. But a convenient place with very spacious rooms, appropriate to vacationers who wants to be nearest prague castel.

When I made the reservation, I asked for a quiet room, and when we arrived we got the most quiet hotel room I ever stayed in :-) Really nice! Very centrally located, walking distance to "everything". Nice surroundings, good restaurants close by. The standard was simple, but as expected vs price. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

Highly recommended. Room was very large, immaculately clean and tastefully decorated. Location was excellent, short walk to the Charles Bridge/old town and moments from the castle, but not nearly as crowded as the old town. Only problem we had was the music from the restaurant downstairs. It wasn't too loud and never played during sleeping hours but was a mild nuisance, and they seemed to play the same few songs on repeat! Even so we never complained about it.

The hotel is situated in Malà Strana district, a quiet and pretty area, not so far from shopping and city centre (15 minutes on foot) and is near the old castle- Prazsky hrad- (5 minutes)

Very well situated, very quiet room overlooking the courtyard. The breakfast was rather basic - pity there was no fruit or cake.

Excellent location--minutes from the Castle and a short walk to the Charles Bridge and Old Town Square. Restaurants, bars, galleries along the street, which wasn't noisy. Friendly, helpful staff.

The location of the hotel is very good. Although it is on a central road it is very quiet and near to Charle's Bridge. From Old Town & Charles Bridge it is only 5-10 minutes walking. The restaurant of the hotel is beautiful.Buffet breakfast is very well served and the personnel is so kind. If I could go again to Prague, for sure I would stay again to Aureus Clavis Hotel.

Obviously I considered my stay at Aureus Clavis excellent. The only small lack, in my opinion, is the duration of breakfast time: it would be better to predate it at 8/8.30. My room was small, but just because I choose an economy one, a delicious penthouse. Anyway, it was pretty and very, very clean.

My room was n. 10. It was in the basement with a sort of little inner court, very useful. Our room was large and extremely quite (as I had requested in my reservation form). You could hear birds singing in the morning. In the room there were two armchairs and a table, a very comfortable bed and a beatiful green plant which gave a touch of color to the place. The bathroom was small but with a very comfortable shower cabin. Excellent relationship between price and quality. The staff was kind. On the day of our check out we should have left our room around midday instead we were allowed to stay longer i.e. until 5 p.m. when we had to take our flight. Excellent location, more than we expected. The hotel is extremely close to the Castle and the street, Via Nerudova, where the hotel is located is simply fascinating.. you are in the middle of everything.... close to San Nicola church, close to the famous Bridge, etc... We warmly recommend this hotel to everybody.

This place is absolutely fantastic and I had a great time. The lobby entrance is huge and ends with a big restaurant room, awesome chandeliers and great lounge music . The room looks more like an apartment than a room seriously. Nerudova street is one of the greatest steet, filled with bars, restaurants, 20 min walk from the old town and 10 min walk from the Castle. I loved this place and will go back to this hotel without a hesitation. Breakfast ok and included in the price and employees helpful as much as they can. Highly recommend this hotel and this area of the town.

We stayed at the Hotel Aureus Clavis for 5 nights. It offers a pleasant, basic accomodation. Our flight was delayed and so we arrived around 11pm. There were no cafes open and when we asked where we could get a cup of tea we were told we would have to walk 20 mins over the bridge into the Old Town. We were offered a bottle of water. The self service continental breakfast was adequate served in a small dining area. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. Very good location for sightseeing, but area very hilly. Streets around the hotel very quiet at night. Beautiful city with a very good transport system.

As a first time visitor to Prague, it may be daunting to find proper, nicely-priced accommodation. Add to that distance from tourist attractions, public transport, restaurants, etc, and your search can become very difficult. Aureus Clavis is more than we hoped for. Much more. Clean rooms, a beautful part of town, walking distance from most of the biggest attractions (Charles Bridge, Prague Castle, Old Town, New Town, Jewish Quarter), staff that go out of their way to make you feel welcome (Jana was an angel!)... The list goes on. I will definitely and surely stay there again, and I can recommend Aureus Clavis with a warm heart to everyone visiting Prague.

Hotel is conveniently located just behind the street facing the Prague castle. Quiet surrounding. Just a short walk to the castle and about 10 minutes walk to Charles Bridges. The room design is spacious and contemporary and clean. Well worth staying in the hotel. Breakfast was moderate but enough to keep you full for the morning.

This was the second visit to Prague, but the first time in many many years. Our room was very clean, and very large. We were delighted with the room, and the location of the hotel was very central, although in a pretty touristy part of town. It was very quite though! The bed was very comfortable! The hotel and room weren't disabled accessible though (we have a small child and several bags and a stroller, which had to be carried up several flights of stairs ) it's lovely and cozy, but would be difficult if you couldn't climb stairs.

Excellent position, quite street, nice restaurants and small shops very close. Public transports not so near but most of the interesting places are at walk distance. Doubtful impact due to the access trought a courtyard. But the room, at first floor,is wide, beautiful, well furnished and silent. Lacks: few electric light and bathroom very poor. Reception not so warm as breakfast wich also starts late (9 o’clock). On the whole recommendable hotel due to the position, room spaciousness and very good price.

This was our first visit to Prague. The hotel location is ideal for exploring the city, being directly below the Castle and within 10 minutes walk of Charles Bridge. It is also only 10 minutes walk to the nearest Metro station from which you have access to all parts of the city.Trams are also within easy reach. There was a very good choice of reasonably priced restaurants that served traditional Czech food within 5 minutes walk of the Hotel. We opted for a standard room which was huge and very comfortable. Being at the rear of the hotel we did not have any good views however it was lovely and quiet. Breakfast was a substantial continental buffet which set you up for the day.All the staff were very friendly and the reception staff spoke good English and were very helpful and informative. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

The Hotel is unique because all rooms are different. Our room was in the 3rd flloor (there is no elevator), very spacious, sunny and clean. The employees are very welcoming and they will help you with every question you may have. The street where the hotel is located it's on 5 minutest walking from the Prague Castle and 10 minutes walking from Charles Bridge. Metro and Tram are close to the hotel too. The street is very well served with bar, restaurants and cafes.Breakfast it's tasty, but it's always the same everyday. I recommend this hotel to everyone because it's cheap, very well located, clean and with a very helpful staff.

Really enjoyed staying here. Great location on a lovely cobbled street (a tourist site in itself due to lovely signs above doors) near the castle and only a 5-10 minute walk to the Charles Bridge. Room was great. Staff kind enough to keep our suitcases on our last day until we had to go to the station. I will definitely stay there again!

The staff, especially Jana, were very helpful and friendly. There was a very warm feeling in the breakfast room/reception area and the newly decorated rooms were excellent. The only minor problem was that, in arriving after 9pm, we had some difficulty locating staff. All in all a very positive experience. Finally, the location was great as it was near the castle and the Charles Bridge, but also quiet at night.

The Aureus Clavis is in an ideal location - close to the castle, Charles bridge and with restraunts and cafe bars on its door step. Our room was spotless and must have beeen recently decorated in a simple yet stylish way with white walls and furnishings and a polished woodern floor. The lady at the reception was friendly and helpful. I would certainly stay there again.

Very nice hotel situated very close to all the important location, the castle (10 mins walk), Charles bridge (5 mins walk), station (10 mins walk). The staff is the best; they were the most cooperative of all the hotels we visited. Yana at the reception is gem, very helpful and is not the money minded person, would genuinely help. The only tip is that when you book a room ask for first floor or second as we were on the 5th floor and no lifts as its a heritage building. Very close to eating places, cafes, etc etc ...highly recommended

Located just a 5 minute meander from Prague Castle, this hotel is in the thick of one of Pragues most stunning spots. Rooms are more than spacious, decked out with a classic, minimalist design. Very comfortable. Reception and general service was pleasent enough...the free drink, coffee in our case that was offered to us on arrival was very good and a nice welcoming touch. Breakfast was simple but adequate and the eating areas clean and stylish. Rooms were clean, but the bathrooms showed evidence of splash around the toilet. The cost and quality of the eating places immediatly around the hotel can be bettered if you take a short stroll down the hill or cross the bridge...a neat thing to do anyway. There was some minimal construction happening during our stay, so at times we had some noise, but this is not a constant and the end result will be well worth it. All and all a happy, comfortable stay!!
